sometimes. it's the first day of the new sale, and everyone has to run right out and get their stuff before it sells out. also, it's the night that i close (we close at 7)... but we don't make closing announcements. the rumor was that corporate had gotten complaints from customers saying they felt rushed, and that closing time was sudden. no, it wasn't - we'd make announcements with 15 minutes left, then 10 minutes left, then 5 minutes left, then that we were closed. we would also mention what time we opened in the morning too. *shrugs* people are strange. but yeah, the last hourish is kinda quietish. |
30 oh i know ALLLLLLLLL about that closing time business. i used to work at beverly's (it's almost exactly like michael's but with a full fabric dept. and they are only in california), and we would get guff about that weekly. people complaining to corporate about "it was 8:55pm and they locked the doors and wouldn't let me in!" when we closed at 9. or other things like that. that kind of retail pisses me off so much....

0.o Those retails SUCK if its ten minutes before a store closes (minus gas stations) I generally just will wait till the next day. . . . or week . .. . same difference. |

As a kid I helped my mom do paper routes from 1am-6am. I was homeschooled at the time so it was not a big deal for me to be out with her at that time. |
