baby spiders are cuter than aaaaanything else, and when they get big most of them become good roommates. polite, quiet, tidy, don't take up much room, deals with outside visitors, don't leave the seat up

Eeee they're so creepy

;n;

Honestly, I am so scared of them...
Funny enough, I can never kill them. I can't kill anything!
Too weak. ;u;

Hey, not killing isn't a weakness!!

Tough one today.

I did my little genetic test so I could find out if I really have marfan syndrome. My whole life i've been told I do because I have all the physical characteristics of it. My new doctor didn't think I did though so I was like well heck! Lets find out. So of course it isn't a formal test (that one costs $1200 and i don't have that) and anyway yadda yadda yadda it says I do not have it. I do have a predisposition for stretch marks and to be tall and some of the other things though. So I am debating if I should try to speak with a geneticist and get their opinion or just be excited that I might not have this disease? And anyway I just wanted to vent to somebody about it because I know when I tell my mother she is going to rage out and say it is wrong and that I didn't just get unlucky in my weird skeletal structure and that I have this syndrome that nobody else in my family has.

I think I'd probably be excited. Not having an incurable genetic disease sounds a lot better than having it after all. Is there any particular reason your mother insists you have this syndrome? Like, did she have you tested when you were little? And did you ever experience some of the actual problems associated with the syndrome, or were people just ever looking at your appearance and going from there?

It’s all been based on my physical traits. She took me to a specialist because my scoliosis was so bad as a kid that I was totally lopsided! My doctor said I had the most remarkable recovery he’d ever seen though. And they more or less convinced her that I could die at any time. It’s been since I was 6. I did tell her today and she wants me to go in for more heart tests before she’ll consider it as a possibility. I did get my last ct results today from the doctor that said my heart is all a-ok but she’s very insistent that I need to go again. Oh well.

I also learned I have almost no b12! So that’s why I’ve been so sleepy!

littl3chocobo 01-03-2020 08:36 AM

oh man, i totally get that. when you are on a fence to the point where even something horrible is better than no answer at all

Biomecha 01-03-2020 05:42 PM

Do you have to get the B 12 shots? Here's to hoping you get to be energized. Maybe it'll be like unlocking an achievement.

I will if the vitamins fail >.<

mdom 01-03-2020 08:14 PM

iirc Tuijp has marfan syndrome and he gets hurt easily D: so it's good that you don't have it (probably maybe)

Den 01-08-2020 12:44 AM

Hey, you have a starting point now, and that's always good. Especially when you end up not having the thing you thought you did.
