Really need to be doing crafting stuff, but having too much fun playing with my new nail polishes as they arrive!

Forgot how fun nail art can be. I just legit need people to tell me what to do/try though because I get too bored with trying to come up with design and color ideas. Well, not really bored, but...kind of, I just get tired and in a slump almost and then I stop painting my nails, which is bad because then they chip easier.

what's the kind of nail polish you use?

I...don't have any one specific type or brand. Most of my polishes are common/drug store brands because they're readily available, but I have some polishes from more indie brands as well.
And I have pretty much every type of polish there is, thermal, holo, multichrome, iridescent, shimmer, glitter, matte (only one though), creme.
But I don't use gel polish. Just because I tried it once and the uv light really stung/burned so I didn't want to risk potential injury or damage.

Zilvra: Soo...I can't freehand for shit, but once I change polish I will do this. Probably using my cat stamping plate. Any particular shades of blue and pink?

Ugh, now I need to update my nail polish swatches. I am mostly up to date on them, but definitely have missed probably between 5-20 just because I am lazy and forgot to swatch them. And also I have a few that need re-done because I broke a few of the swatch sticks somehow. XD

Hmmm....with those colors I may need to do vinyls instead just because the pink may not show on the blue very well. Doable, but I need to clean and find where I put my box with all my vinyls (and by "all my" I mean like...my 4 vinyl designs. XD)

Yeah, it's not impossible. I just really kind of like my current nails, so I don't wanna change them yet.
And I think I know where my misplaced vinyls are, I just need to actually look. XD

Also, anyone else who wants to toss out nail art suggestions, from simple single color polish (or holo or multichrome) to complex (gradients+vinyls, galaxy, marbling, stamping) go for it! I'm gonna probably start a list somewhere that I can work off throughout the year. And the more suggestions I get, the more I'll hopefully actually do my nails! XD
The only real thing I will set as a sort of heads up/limitation is I only have a few different vinyls, so my options with that is pretty limited and I am not allowing myself to buy any more nail art supplies this year, so unless someone sends stuff, I can only use what I already have. (Sorry, that was pretty long-winded. XP)

I have a friend on FB who has not posted since christmas eve and they were really struggling with mental health issues thanks to coming off a medication, and I'm worried but have no way to personally reach out. A mutual friend who has their contact info texted them but got no reply and is reaching out to their significant other to try and find out if they are okay or not. I'M STRESSED.

Sorry to hear that, especially since there's probably not much I can do to help you in such a situation. I do hope your friend is alright and just has been busy trying to get their life back together. If it helps you any, the fact they have friends and a significant other means a higher probability someone was there in time to help in case something happened, ergo higher chance they are in fact okay. Or mostly okay. Battling mental health issues sucks, of course.

Their BF has not replied to texts and calls went directly to voicemail so is it bad I kinda hope they were both in a car accident and are in a hospital recovering? I just dunno how to find someone who knows them IRL to ask about them.

Since you mentioned FB, do they maybe have some former schoolmates, colleagues or the like among their friends? Or filled out where they work / went to school / posted about where they volunteer, etc.?

Zilvra: Here's your nail art suggestion! This was a bitch to do because the polishes were so sheer that it took a ton of coats to get the blue and pink opaque. (Seriously, I have like 8 layers of polish on right now, if not more...)

Sorry for the mess around the edges. It's mainly just top coat that needed clean-up and dryness from the acetone. They look much neater today.

Kaderin Triste - THEY LOOK SO GOOD THOUGH

Ugh. I hate them. I don't like pastel on pastel and I find the colors very "baby shower-esque". But it was a suggestion/challenge so I did it. And will probably wear it until it starts chipping or until I get another suggestion.

Also, ironically, I used the smaller of the vinyls on my ring fingers for subtle accent nails, but they are actually the longest of my nails (on both hands) currently because I am too lazy to file all my nails down to the same length every time I break one.

My first thought actually wasn't baby shower but Derpy colors. Maybe it's just the photo, still me thinks you're celebrating the one true dragon in your life ^^

Derpy's more a yellow toned green and not blue. (At least irl anyway.)
The polish is more of a pastel sky blue.

Sooooo in other news... I spent about 150 dollars on a new toy for wood working that will arrive thursday. I'm super excited tbh cuz it is a track saw which will help me a lot with breaking down sheets of plywood or other long cuts. My table saw is too small and I cant cut a straight line freehand for the life of me. And tgis is literaly the cheapest track saw on amazon so while I dont expect it to be amazing its better than getting a 200-400 dollar track saw like most of this type of saw cost.

hopefully that track saw works, else i'm kicking the seller's ass.

I just cooked breakfast it was tasty. I have this homemade jam that's REALLY GOOD and now i want to get back into making jams.

@Voidbarker: its got decent reviews from people who know what to expect from a cheap tool, most of the negatives were people expecting it to be on par with the 400 dollar tools. I'm optimistic about it xP
