Kaderin Triste 01-10-2019 01:01 AM

Awwww so cute!

Damies 01-10-2019 01:29 AM

Kaderin Triste 01-10-2019 02:40 AM

Why are you so productive?!?
XD

I have....painted my nails 4 times in that same general span of time. And that's literally it. Lol

(But also, it's really awesome that you've fone all those.)

Damies 01-10-2019 02:49 AM

Well not having an out of the house job helps... XD

I want the weather to dry so I can build stuff with my tools though. I feel very.... Not productive because I am not doing stuff I feel like I need to do. Like bilding a chicken coop to replace the rickety store bought one.

Kaderin Triste 01-10-2019 02:56 AM

I will gladly trade with you. We've had an insane amount of wind, but the weather has been extremely mild and I think I've only had to wear my winter coat for a cumulative 14 days total this winter.

Damies 01-10-2019 03:08 AM

Its been pretty mild here too but still wet. And occasionally windy so I dont want to set up the pop up thing for rain protection when it'll just blow away.

Linkle 01-10-2019 06:03 AM

I found that a lot of the home made stuff tastes better when i take the time to make it.

KittyBeary 01-10-2019 06:29 AM

Woah Damies!! :0 Those look amazing!

Death by Mirrors 01-10-2019 06:57 AM

Awesome productivity!
I especially like the notebook, then again I've always been a huge book nerd.

Damies 01-10-2019 07:03 AM

I definitely like cookies and most cakes I make better than store bought ones usually. I just hate having to deal with the hot oven/stove for more than a few moments at a time because I over heat pretty fast.

Ahh thanks Kitty! My painting rack is pretty janky because I made it from scraps and leftover bits of wood. So that was an adventure.

Death, the notebook I did was messed up the first time I did it and I had to cut the binding to remake it. And I was gonna use it for a crafting/creative journal but now I have a journal app I just found that I like a lot that I will be using since I can do a photo journal instead of a plain written one. So I labeled it as a creation book but I may not use it as such now. xP

trystan830 01-10-2019 12:08 PM

wow, cool stuff, Damies!!

Damies 01-10-2019 02:27 PM

Thanks Trystan.

Looks like the weather today is rainy and foggy. May not get to use my new saw yet. :(

trystan830 01-10-2019 03:26 PM

welcome.

it's sunny here.... but cold. and windy. and by cold, i mean 36F. brr.

Death by Mirrors 01-10-2019 04:35 PM

Haha, well I'm sure you'll find some use for it.

Linkle 01-10-2019 06:18 PM

It's almost time to make a group of nerds mad at me.

MonBon 01-10-2019 07:14 PM

Wow you were busy! I made a cool gel glitter sequin thingy I bought from hobby lobby, but that's about it

Damies 01-11-2019 02:02 AM

So my saw arrived today and I did set it up and cut two small panels with it and in general I love it. It's a little fiddly in some ways but for a "cheapo" saw it's pretty dandy.

The fog and rain cleared up just enough for the test cuts but it was a miserably 35F and soggy outside which is why I didn't cut more. xP

Last night I amused players with robots named amazingly.

They weren't a big fan of Cream, but they loved Coeslaw and Peaches. They absolutely hated Heal me Pls and the Gorgon they were healing.

Damies 01-11-2019 10:20 PM

Sounds like a robot party.

KittyBeary 01-12-2019 08:29 AM

I want to get back to making Paopu fruit plushes. Cause of KH3 hype and all that. :V Once I recover from being sick-ish I shall. ;u;

Linkle 01-12-2019 10:58 AM

I'd love to see a Paopu plus! I'm so amped for KH3 btw.

Also one of the bots, Coleslaw, is going to literally be a bot that takes the place of party members when they're gone. They love Coleslaw.

Kaderin Triste 01-13-2019 04:35 PM

Omg I was so tempted to buy nail art stuff at Walmart because they actually had some stamping stuff and some liquid latex for doing messy nail arts AND 2 linear holo polishes. But I was good didn't get any of those.
Although...I did cave and pick up a $1.98 bag of shredded iridescent mylar (aka: unicorn skin) confetti that can be used for nail art...
>.>

Linkle 01-13-2019 09:04 PM

I wish i know how to use makeup. I can do...lipstick.

Kaderin Triste 01-14-2019 01:39 AM

Lol. That's more than I can do.
I don't count nail polish as "makeup", so I can't do any makeup.

Stabbsworth 01-14-2019 08:14 PM

coding is the worst hobby i've ever had. it's stressful, and it's so fucking annoying.

and yet, i continue doing this because if i don't, nobody else is going to make a don't starve ukagaka. also because i want to.

Linkle 01-15-2019 09:13 PM

I want to make a dating sim one day, if noit a Pokemon fan game (Don't tell Nintendo)

I also want to know if i can use old Tshirts for quilts?

Kaderin Triste 01-15-2019 10:50 PM

You can, yes. In fact, t-shirt quilts are a fairly common (well, not necessarily common, but something that a lot of people have made or have asked about in the last couple years) and can actually look really cool. But you'll want to get a stabilizer as t-shirts are a thinner, softer, more flexible cotton than what would normally be used for a quilt.

Linkle 01-16-2019 12:27 AM

stabilizer? How much is that/how do i use it/what is it exactly?

Assume i'm a total NOOB AT ANYTHING INVOLVING QUILTING.

Kaderin Triste 01-16-2019 12:40 AM

Tbh, I don't know anything about sewing and quilting either except the little snippets I pick up at work. I'll ask tomorrow what one is used for t-shirt quilts and will check out the pricing.

trystan830 01-16-2019 11:41 AM

a friend of mine loves books (like i do) i haven’t seen her in a few years (easily 15!), and we’re getting together for lunch on saturday. so i made her some books.

This may help you a lot.
Although I would recommend learning some basic sewing before jumping right into a quilt.
Will still ask at work tonight as well though.

Kaderin Triste 01-17-2019 11:30 AM

Okay, so I know I said no more buying yarn/craft supplies this year. But does that rule count if I technically don't spend any money on it?
Because our Premier brand yarn cakes are on sale 3/$10 and I have a $10 of a $10 or more purchase....so it would be free yarn...

Edit: NEVERMIND. It's a Doorbuster price, so the coupon won't work on it... XP

Damies 01-18-2019 08:01 PM

I have not done much in the last week or so. Bad weather and SAD kicking my booty. x nx

Den 01-19-2019 08:02 PM

my current project. I'mma name him Frumpkinpus after he's done. waiting on eyes to arrive, but I'll make what I can without the eyes.

KittyBeary 01-19-2019 11:38 PM

Oooh an octopus!! :3

Damies 01-20-2019 07:33 AM

Holy shit Den that looks like it's gonna be awesome o Ao

Stabbsworth 01-20-2019 02:34 PM

trying to get twitch skins for dst.

Kaderin Triste 01-20-2019 05:10 PM

Agree that octopus looks awesome!
Also, where did you get that yarn and needles item you have on?!! O.o

Kaderin Triste 01-20-2019 09:37 PM

I feel semi-accomplished today! I made Derpy a new skirt! (Which I can't upload a pic of until tomorrow.) And also cut a couple pieces for either the lining or outside of a little pencil pouch, but I need to buy a zipper (or two) to finish that. Although I could cut some more fabric for pouch insides and outsides...
