Golden eagles, which are the species the Kazakhs hunt with, are somewhere between 9 to 14 lbs. Which...doesn't seem like a lot, until you realize you have this weight on the outermost limb of your body.

Ah. Well I think I've seen some people wrap their arm inward, as if hugging the air when they call birds too? Maybe that'll help? :3

Nice new avatar btw. X3

There's also an amazing 8(?)-year-old girl who's a falconer and hunts with her golden eagle. I lost the article somewhere, but she's really talented. Usually they're reluctant to teach children falconry, because they're afraid their arms aren't strong enough.

And thanks.

Germanic Languages? *Piques interest - my German teacher was a Ph.D. in studying the origins for the Germanic Language...
And yes, English is a Germanic Language. I feel like I need to find the language tree, now...

Horror?! YIPPEEEEE!!!!! *Starts bringing in the skeletons, mad scientists, inquisition, medieval torture, abandoned places, deadly animals, Aliens, and the Wishmaker.*

@ Espy ;
Really? o.0 and where is this? XD sounds pretty awesome.
Well they could teach them as kids and let them actually do stuff when they're older instead? Idk. x:

@ Lawman ;
Ah. It is? XD that's interesting...
Would've never thought that. x3

And. uh. o-o' scary... -hides-

Horror Babe 04-29-2014 11:40 AM

One season down.
Seven more to go

Lawtan 04-29-2014 01:43 PM

Actually, that is one plus to my current situation; as soon as I am mentally capable enough, I'll be pursuing learning to train/work with animals as companions...

And yeah, I like scary things. You could say that horror monsters were like friends to me in my childhood - creative creatures protecting me from nightmares.

Vincent 04-29-2014 09:13 PM

@ Titanic ;
What'cha watching now, Titanic? X3

@ Lawman ;
That sounds rather awesome o-o
I don't really care for scary things. XD
And uh. I guess... it's more reassuring to have the scary things on your side when it comes to that, then? XD

Lawtan 04-30-2014 07:54 AM

In comparison to real life fears and horrors, yes they are.

Horror/the undead/other things like that...were originally intended to help people face their own fears - of death and the like.

(Other purposes later on were: Scare children into obedience, creativity, give adults an adrenaline rush of fear, or fear for fear's sake...I like the original purpose and the creative purpose)

Horror Babe 04-30-2014 01:24 PM

Vincent.
It was Dexter.
xD

Vincent 04-30-2014 03:48 PM

@ Lawman ;
Ah. o.o that sounds interesting. I mean I can understand the whole help people with death and stuff but I'm not seeing how it helps me personally. XD Unless I'm affected and I just don't know it. x:

Yeah i like the origional purpose better too. :c
I guess that's why I don't feel that effect, it's not trying to give it off with today's movies and such. XD

@ Titanic ;
Ohh your watchin it? xD you like it so far?

Horror Babe 05-04-2014 12:41 AM
