Pet pics! Most of mine are not readily available as I had this thing known as a film camera at the time. I snagged this one from my sister's website. May not count, but I like it.

Sadly, neither of these boys are with us anymore. The little guy in the front is my Monty, a cavalier King Charles spaniel, about 9-10 years old at this point. The baby behind hims is Auggie, English Mastiff puppy. Because he was very young, he couldn't go out with the big grown up mastiffs or he might get accidentally hurt, so he was in the house much of the time and adopted Monty as "grandpa" of sorts.

Auggie was afraid of the dark, apparently. He wouldn't go outside after dark without Monty with him, even several years later when when Monty was maybe knee height to him.

Monty passed from old dog troubles a few years ago at 13, Auggie we lost earlier this year to an infection. Miss them both.

Wow. Talk about cute.

I've never seen a Mastiff puppy. Look at those paws!

Quiet Man Cometh 04-30-2016 11:55 PM

His feet actually seemed a little small compared to what he grew into. 36 inches at the shoulder and 200+pounds. Monty was 12.5 and about 17 pounds.

My vet had a Mastiff and it was HUGE.

Those are beautiful dogs!

Eeeee, Mastiff puppy! *thinks Mastiffs are flipping adorable*

Everyone's pets are just adorable. So many cute and fuzzy faces to skritch and pet. :D

I finally found a picture of the hairy baby that I miss the most...

This was Cody. He was a purebred Border Collie, and when this picture was taken, he was about eight or nine years old. I still regret that I didn't put my foot down and have one of the pictures of him and me as my senior picture for the yearbook.

He looks so adorable, Den. And I LOVE your beautiful red hair. :D

Awwww. To Auggie, Monty was always the big dog. English Mastiffs are so sweet.

I like your avatar's hairdo.

Presto loves happy sounds - to hear them and to create them. ;-)

That picture was taken about seven years before Cody passed away unexpectedly. I was going to be a Senior in high school, and that is what happened when Mom and I tried dyeing my hair light auburn. My hair turned orange... So we let it grow out... And then, the day after pictures got taken, I got my hair cut short...

Cody was my baby, and I wish I could've gotten that picture, or one with him looking at the camera, in the yearbook as my senior picture.

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 11:04 PM

That would have been a lovely senior picture, Den.

To me, your hair looks like a lovely ginger color. :)

Athilea Majiri 05-01-2016 11:34 PM

I don't think you hair looks orange. It is a little lighter then my oldest sons natural hair color.
