Nah, it's too much fun to excel at stuff! XD

pollik20 12-28-2016 04:38 PM

Lol mdom
Well that's a new for you then :D
Thanks for the compliment xoxo

Another (already closed down) avatar site I used to be at had quite a lot of men actually, so I didn't find it as big a surprise. But I liked your submission too. Do you sing in a choir normally?

Kaderin Triste 12-28-2016 06:38 PM

Welp..I officially am chickening out on singing.
Maybe next year.
I keep getting to anxiety-ridden when I try to record me singing and I start feeling like my throat is getting all scratchy. XP

But I'm glad to see that there were a few submissions.

Death by Mirrors 12-28-2016 06:58 PM

Aww, but you can do it! There's nothing to be afraid of, we only bite when asked very nicely. I'm sure your voice won't sound anywhere as bad as you fear it might.

Kaderin Triste 12-28-2016 07:02 PM

If I can find the time and a decent song, I might still try it, but my anxiety has been kind of bad lately.
And I really do sound awful, especially when recorded.

Death by Mirrors 12-28-2016 07:11 PM

You know what? I do too. Or at least I did for a long time, I don't know whether my voice has changed in the last years as I avoid recording myself. Funny is, it only concerns records of my actual talking voice. My singing sounds much better, and for some weird reason, if I record myself talking in an extremely grandiloquent flamboyant fake voice I'm too chicken to ever employ in everyday conversation, it sounds decent.

Trust me, I understand anxiety. But I still believe it'd be nice to hear you sing.

Kaderin Triste 12-28-2016 07:27 PM

Yeah...I did a brief sample to test my recording app and my singing voice is pretty much just as bad as my talking voice...but we'll see.
My major problem is coming up with a not too difficult song that I own. Because I can't do acapella and I don't have internet at home.

mdom 12-28-2016 08:23 PM

As long as you have fun, you'll get compliments from me, Kaderin <333

pollik20 12-29-2016 08:53 AM

Naww I'm too shy to do choir singing, but I usually sing when I'm taking a shower.

No Kaderin! You must join! You can't just waste that talent of yours. xoxo

Kaderin Triste 12-29-2016 03:26 PM

Lol...I certainly wouldn't call it talent, Pollik. XD

If I remember to, I might try tonight to record.

Death by Mirrors 12-29-2016 03:56 PM

You have a very good sense of rhythm though, that's why I asked. No need to be shy. If I tried clapping while singing it would sound like a total mess, because I can't do two things simultaneously at once for the life of me.

*sneaks into Kaderin's house and leaves a very visible post-it note as a reminder (and a soft cookie as a bribe)*

Kaderin Triste 12-29-2016 04:09 PM

Lol. I think I know what song I wanna do. Unfortunately, it's got some humorous background speech/lyrics that will be missed because I don't have the capabilities to record separate tracks for them and then mash them together...but it should be fun anyway...

pollik20 12-30-2016 07:57 AM

Thanks for the compliment Death by Mirrors.

Still waiting for your entry Kaderin :)

Death by Mirrors 12-30-2016 03:13 PM

Yep, girl. We're still waiting. Come on, you even got a cookie - who else can say that? ^.~
I'm sure your song will be fun even without the background speech.

Kaderin Triste 12-30-2016 08:42 PM

Well...IF I can get my song recorded and uploaded before I leave work tonight you'll have it to listen to. But one of my co-workers is still in the building, which makes me hesitant and also my phone is getting close to dead...
But I have the song ready to go on YouTube on my computer in the little office area I have so the sound won't be as overwhelming as it would be if I had to play the song from my phone...
