I'm watching Detective Conan

I never got to see it all since they only showed like up to ep 50 on tv.. and Funimation has only dubbed 130 episodes before quitting. The fanbase wasn't big enough in america (probably because of the amount of content change they did) so they refuse to dub the rest.

There is up to 678 Fansubbed Episodes, 16 Movies, 12 Side Story (Kid the Phantom Thief), and about 10 OVA! I'm starting over via Episode 1.

x3

Amount of content change? Funi was putting out uncut subs on DVD.

Demonskid 01-11-2013 08:43 AM

The uncut DVDs were released a few years later. Detective Conan started in 1996 America started Releasing it in 2004 but the uncuts weren't released till 2009.

The Content changes are: Names, Theme songs, texts on books and signs, and then eventually they started cutting some of the prologs and the "Next Conan's Hint". Not to mention they made the 1-2 hour episodes into 30 minute episodes which threw fans off a bit, and ended up changing the episode count.

Fans weren't watching the english version, they were watching the japanese fan subs. So funimation stopped dubbing at Episode 130 (Japanese episode 123).

A certain magial Index. It's pretty good and pretty pwetty animation :D I like the characters too, even though some looks kind of pretty generic lol (that samourai girl look like the vampire girl from Is this a Zombie and the main character looks like Gray from Fairy Tail <.<)

Index is a pretty fun character too, I like the design of her Walking Church outfit (sadly, not literaly a church). She's walking cuteness overload lol

Lestrade 01-18-2013 03:22 PM

Oh yeah, I started Gosick recently. Liking it so far but it started focusing on this quasi-romance between the main characters which is kind of not that interesting IMO... I like the mystery aspect better.

I'm on the...fourth episode, I think? of "Koreha Zombie Desu ka?" (Or, in English, "Is This a Zombie?") It's funny as hell.

By using Crunchy Roll, I am able to learn and watch new anime series.
The one I'm watching currently is Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. So far, I'm really enjoying it! Spooky, romantic, funny, all of the good stuff!

I'm watching an anime called Sayuki right now, I like the plot but some of the panels in it are just simply so... melodramatic in a bad way, in the sense that they ruin the scene (at least to me)... I'm thinking about starting on the manga as well :3.

Lestrade 03-13-2013 12:05 AM

The Saiyuki manga is WAY better than the anime if only because it has amazing art XD the anime is just so cheaply animated, it's a shame because the voice cast is good (I love Akira Ishida as Hakkai especially)

I watched a bit of Magi and was kind of "eh" on it, not sure why people love it so much but I'll probably watch more. It's so overly simplistic with its morals so far though, and it feels like it's aimed at a pretty young audience. (I mean, it's a shounen series so it's probably aimed at 12-year-olds, but they don't always FEEL that way, lol)

I've recently started watching Fruits Basket. I read a good bit of the manga, and figured since they've got it on Netflix, I'd watch some of the episodes.

Arikana 03-19-2013 11:18 PM

Old Pokemon episodes since I miss them.

Alpha 05-16-2013 11:41 PM

Honestly? Soul Eater. Heard a lot about it and finally decided to watch it. I need to catch up on Bleach and seriously re-watch Naruto and then onto Shippuden.
