Oh, I know those feels wholeheartedly. I had issues waking up myself, and I've only been up for three hours!

Yo, should have saved me some of that latte, though! -giggles-

Pizza rolls and apples are life. They count as groceries. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! xD

Kaderin Triste 10-24-2017 09:12 PM

Oh! I also bought yogurt and a couple bananas. I figured I can grab the fruit on the days I have early shifts because it's portable, so I can eat it on my break, when enough time has passed after waking up, that I won't get nauseous from eating.

mdom 10-24-2017 09:43 PM

I'm glad it was nothing serious and you had a half day off ^^

Kaderin Triste 10-24-2017 09:58 PM

Lol. I don't know that 3 hours in the evening really counts as having half a day off...
But I do have at least 3 hours from now to accomplish things before bed instead of only having about one hour.

mdom 10-24-2017 10:17 PM

you didn't have to work your second job, I thought it was half a day xDDD

Kaderin Triste 10-24-2017 11:02 PM

Haha. Not quite. Although technically it kind of was. XD

mdom 10-24-2017 11:20 PM

Always good to have time to buy bananas ^^

SparX 10-24-2017 11:23 PM

D:
-runs away from bananas-
bananas are bad. They give me heartburn. D:

mdom 10-24-2017 11:40 PM

but hooow D: they're so errr sweet and not acid.
I think. Don't really know about fruit xD

Kaderin Triste 10-24-2017 11:47 PM

Awww....I've heard of people having heartburn from bananas before. I don't remember why it happens though.
I'm not a huge fan of bananas, but they're okay for a quick snack once every few months or so...

SparX 10-25-2017 12:01 AM

I have no idea. I just know I eat one once or twice a year, and about once a year indulge in banana bread XD

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 12:09 AM

Yum...banana bread!

Claire Bear 10-25-2017 12:12 AM

ohhhmy god banana bread ;-;

mdom 10-25-2017 12:19 AM

hmmm banana cake o3o
I love it.

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 12:21 AM

Banana cake?
Is that like banana bread?
I made watermelon cake before. And not the fake kind, which is a watermelon covered with whipped cream.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2017 04:17 AM

Do you still have the recipe for that watermelon cake?

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 04:43 AM

Oh gosh...um...I don't think I saved it, as it was a request from a "friend", who was always "too busy to pick it up". But I'll see if I can find it.

...I'm wanting to say that I replaced the vanilla and maybe half of the milk in a regular white cake recipe with very pureed watermelon because I couldn't find a recipe that didn't use jello or koolaid.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2017 05:24 AM

Alright, that sounds like a starting point. I'm sure I can experiment a little on my own the next time I find a watermelon. Thank you!

KittyBeary 10-25-2017 05:27 AM

Fruits. *u*

I need to get more apples. ;n;

Quiet Man Cometh 10-25-2017 05:30 AM

Bananas are bad for me, unless they are cooked or super ripe. My gut has issues with them otherwise. There is a detail about less ripe bananas but I can't recall what it is.

Doctor stuff today. Just an ultrasound, but I was not allowed to have fat, dairy, or bananas (seriously) before hand. I did not realize how sour I could get when I haven't had a proper cup of tea in the morning.

I certainly need more screams. I have purchase one small bag that I haven't even opened yet! Maybe later.

KittyBeary 10-25-2017 05:44 AM

I have 4 screams right now. XD And three event items so far.

Quiet Man Cometh 10-25-2017 05:50 AM

I purchase a big gift just now! and have 1 scream left. I guess fuzzy slippers and a child's sleep device aren't conducive to screams of horror, even if they are hanging off a battleaxe and wreathed in red smoke.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2017 01:27 PM

Yeah, that's why you need to get the child instead of its sleep device :p-cool:

Scythe 10-25-2017 01:29 PM

Remember theres a trading thread for the event items set up if you guys have duplicates or really want something.

Kitty - Great Merida cosplay! ^_^

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 03:36 PM

Guys, I need to learn to make doll shirts so I can make a cute shirt for Derpy using a dragon print we have at Joann. It would be so adorable!

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2017 03:38 PM

I second that.

Both, actually. The cosplay looks awesome, and sewing is a great hobby to take up.

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 03:41 PM

I mean, I kind of know how to sew a little bit, I just need to figure out how to make a pattern based on the shirt he already has and then manage to cut and sew it straight. And also how to make the collar on it...

dragoness129 10-25-2017 04:07 PM

Lots of luck with it all, Kad! -hugs-

Great looking avatar too!

mdom 10-25-2017 04:36 PM

That sounds pretty complex xD
BUT YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 05:18 PM

Okay, so the dragon print was a little large for a tiny shirt, so I bought a sky blue fabric with foxes on it instead...

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2017 05:28 PM

Derpy will certainly look great in that (and we expect pictures once it's done! xD)

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 05:36 PM

Derpy struts in. "Imma be most hansome dwagon ever!"

This is the fabric I bought. The print might still be a little large, but it's so cute!

Quiet Man Cometh 10-25-2017 05:43 PM

I made shirts for my peg dolls but they were itty bitty since they were adorning old fashioned clothes pegs and pipecleaners. I imagine all you'd need to do is have a good look at one of your shirts and see where the seams fall. That should give you and idea for what sort of pieces you need and where to sew them.

But they're messy.

Kaderin Triste 10-25-2017 05:58 PM

I'm thinking I'll just pin the original shirt down, lightly trace around the edges, cut two, and sew up the sides. And then just do a tiny hem along the neck for the collar.

mdom 10-25-2017 06:23 PM

awwwww!! That's soo adorable! Derpy will look so cute in that!

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2017 06:49 PM

Sounds like a plan. At least it saves the hassle of properly inserting sleeves.

mdom 10-25-2017 06:53 PM

Imagine Derpy in a wife beater

Quiet Man Cometh 10-25-2017 06:56 PM

The patter I used for my dolls was to fold a bit of fabric in half, cut a T shape with the fold at the top of the T. Cut a head hole in the fold, pop it over the head, and wrap the arms of the T around for sleeves, and the stem of the T around the waist and sew the sides together. Might have to cut and trim as needed but it did work. At least, it worked when your shirt was maybe a couple inches long.

Derpy does not deserve wife-beaters! He's a classy dragon.
