I have it!!

Already made 6 custom characters. Each one takes about an hour to an hour and half to do all the details. The stickers and patterns are simply an awesome addition. And even better, you can take screenshots to save on the PS3's harddrive, so I can upload a few of the one's I made onto here for you to see.

The gameplay is a lot different. The new meter mechanic takes getting used to, but it's cool and adds a lot of depth to the game. I just wish I was better at doing the input on the joystick for the Critical Edges (236236 A+B+K).

So far, I've only tested out my old mainstays, Siegfried, Mitsurugi, Cervantes, and Raphael (*cries over the loss of Amy). Oh, and Nightmare. Nightmare who is now sickeningly fast and has a Critical Edge that can do up to 80% health in one hit. O_O

I'm going to try out the new characters in story mode once I have some solid time to sit down and dig into it.

Played a little online this morning, the lag is much better than it was in 4, which is a relief.

OMG those look so smooth...I want to make all the characters now! The patterning is very nice and I like some of the options that are obviously new to this version!

Legendary Souls mode is hellish torture.

I don't know how familiar you are with Setsuka's moveset, but one of the rounds is Edgemaster mimicking Alpha Patroklos (who has her moveset) and...

Well, Setsuka's signature 2143 [a]B is an incredibly difficult move to pull off for most human beings... and the Just Frame version of it is nearly impossible to do reliably without dozens of hours of practice...

have fun getting juggled by that move over. and over. and over. ANDOVERANDOVERANDOVERANDOVERANDOVER!!!!!!!

Oh, and Cervantes' has a similar Just Frame version of his flying Geo da Ray attack... likes to use it about 4 times in a row to juggle you for 70% health. Comes out of absolutely nowhere and hits instantaneously...

And, finally, as a Siegfriend player, fighting Ice Armor Siegfried with his dizzying stance-dancing into near-instant ring outs sure wasn't fun...

Don't really recommend this mode. X__X

See, I would like that... if the combos they were doing were humanly possible. It just annoys me to watch the computer cheat. >_>

LOL the computer always cheats, but I accept this and watch the pretties.

I did Legendary Souls last night and after a lot of continues I finished it myself. I used my character with Sieg's moveset and did well against four of them, and sucked on three of them but eventually squeaked out wins on them. I was incredibly amused by the fact the last one I only had to continue on twice. I managed to get around 80 minutes for it, which I guess was pretty good since I haven't played since SC2.

I find it kind of disheartening that you haven't played since 2, while I played 3 and 4 to death, and you're apparently better at the game, and with Sieg, my main, than I am. :p

I don't know what to say Suzerain, I'm just persistent and good at figuring out the CPU strategies. In just about any fighting games, not just this.

You need to get on PSN so we can put that to the test. :p

I foresee a battle royale coming to be....

sooooooo, went out and rented the game.... I'm glad I didn't spend 60(let alone 80) on it since there's NO character stories outside of the 'story mode' for sophita's brats. If they ever fix that I will buy it, if not, well this might be the first Soul Calibur game I won't own. Weird.

I admit that rather disappointed me as well, battling is fun and all but I like at least a semblance of story behind it. While the storyline WAS rather good, I wanted to see more for others too.
