He wasn't really concerned for anyone else being in the house, never crossed his mind till she spoke that it was her father. That would be rather cute.. her brother was killed by dark elves and he didn't know about her mother being as well. That would hardly end well and if Brishen was like her father then it wouldn't end peacefully either.
"I'm not suppose to even be here, damn dragon" he glanced over to it an it seemed to act like it didn't know what he was talking about. "I do need to get back though.. your going to end up getting me in trouble" He laughed slightly, when was he worried about getting into trouble.. it'd be more that Madaes wouldn't leave him alone till he spilled where he ran off to. Wrapping his arms around her he frowned a little when she brought the outfit up once more. "don't get use to it, im not of the royal guard so like hell it's getting worn again" He wasn't against dressing up if it was required.. he just disliked flaunting that these were the guards colors when he wasn't one. Though he could probably easily enough get into the royal guard if he wanted to. But that'd require him following orders. "Suppose to yes.. I had stepped out for air anyway when the dragon came along" He sighed a little, he would rather just stay here instead of dealing with whatever formalities there were. Also the fact he'd be stuck in this outfit longer then he really liked to be. Though he didn't get to say anything further as Judith went on to speak again. "If I can manage I'll come back." Though currently he didn't know that Madaes had no intention of letting him get out of going to the celebration the King was going to hold, then again it was going to be open to all so he could probably cross paths with Judith there. He smirked a little seeing her ears drop after asking. "stop worrying I'll be back, even if I have to sneak away from Madaes I'll manage to get back" He was just joking, really Madaes might just let him go if it wasn't anything too important. He was about to tell her he should get going now but she seemed to have something else to say that she paused in saying before finishing it. He looked at her as she spoke, had he heard her right? "Judith..." He didn't seem to say anything else, she couldn't just say that could she, hell she didn't mean it. "You can't mean that, you'd never get a moments peace that can't be what life you want. Hell I could be killed any day from the line of work I do." He laughed slightly before going on to try and convince her otherwise, sure he had asked her to stay with him someday.. but he didn't think about what if she accepted that offer. He started to go on to say something else but looking into her eyes.. she was serious about what she said. He wasn't sure really what to say to her. He probably should have been happier that she said something like that but he wasn't really sure if she was fucking with him or not till he looked at her eyes trying to read her. His ears went back a little before dropping, this was a little awkward for him, it was almost too easy to tell that he was flustered to say the least with her response. "I... " He sighed a little before trying to speak again, he needed to get a hold of himself it wasn't that damn big of a deal. "I have to leave, we should talk again later.. about this" He finally managed to say after breaking eye contact with her and stepping back a little, no one had ever said such a thing to him before he wasn't sure how to even act towards her now. He bowed his head a little before leaving her, he wasn't meaning to run away but he couldn't answer her. Not properly anyway, he needed some time to think about what she just said. She was being serious he could tell.. but maybe he should deter her from her current thoughts. She'd never be happy if she did stay with him. The dragon titled it's head after Rhyldrin left, the dragon seemed confused seeing the sudden change in emotion from Rhyldrin who was normally rather blunt and straight forward about everything, it was odd seeing him worked up over something. Let alone the fact that he seemed down right stumped on what to do or what to say. ~~~~~~~~~~ She nodded a little at the idea of joining him, she was glad he liked her idea of rotating the celebration every other year. It would be good to assist everyone in the change. Not that it was really needed most were long tired of this war. She allowed him to take her hand again as she nodded once more "yes, my apologies I was just seeing to a certain matter" She was sure the man noticed one of her escorts were missing, though she didn't know it was one that he knew from past events. "lead the way lord Bryon" She smiled ever so sweetly at him before glancing at Madaes who nodded before walking off to see if he could go find Rhydrlin. ~~~~~ It didn't take long before Madaes did run into Rhyldrin he was on his way back anyway. Though Madaes didn't say anything at first noticing that something seemed to be on Rhyldrin's mind. "geese you look like you were just shot" He laughed before grabbing Rhyldrin and making him walk faster towards the palace. "your lucky they didn't finish this little meeting just yet. Though I think the Queen has some words for you" He smirked a little knowing Rhyldrin wasn't really in that much trouble. Though he stopped before rejoining the one royal guard still left seeing as they sent the other off to pass the word on about peace and about the celebration as well. "you've not said a word are you ok?" Madaes was really asking it wasn't like Rhyldrin to have no come back or to just silently take anything Madaes said he knew that even when they were children. "huh?" He snapped back to the world around him instead of being caught up in his thoughts. "tsk I'm fine, I just went for a walk you know damn well a cramped building isn't where I like being" He said before walking past Madaes and joining the other knight that was left. Though he did notice the look he got from the Queen. Madaes smirked a little before lazily putting a hand on Rhyldrin's shoulder "I don't think she's that mad, but today's a good day so you might be lucky. Besides.. she better not do anything to you" Rhyldrin looked at Madaes with a odd look as to why he'd say such a odd thing. "I made a few bets with the light elf guards around here.. they were bragging about who could handle the most drinks.. and well we'll just say your my ticket to winning." Rhyldrin looked unimpressed by this sudden offer "ever think I might not stay for the festivities? " Madaes smiled all the more "oh all i have to do is tell the Queen.. I'm sure she wants you to stay" He grinned still but it was a evil looking one, Rhyldrin knew this was a lost battle. |
Judith brought her hands away from him and breathed out a sigh. "Why would I say anything unless I meant it?" she suddenly felt frustrated perhaps she should have forgotten his question, maybe Rhyldrin had not really thought before he asked her such a thing. Judith's ears dropped and she watched him trying to figure out what he was thinking. When he let go of her she crossed her arms over her chest, keeping herself from reaching out for him. He seemed to be avoiding looking at her. What the hell had just happened? The mood in the room had changed so abruptly, she felt confused. "We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, if that isn't what you want then we can forget about it." she breathed out heavily, her voice was a bit more higher and she spoke quickly. "I-" she paused and watched him as he went to her window. "I don't know what to say to you," she was rather upset now with the situation. "I'm sorry for saying that." though really she wasn't. She didn't say anything wrong, why did she feel the overwhelming urge to apologize? She became silent as Rhyldrin bowed then left. She stood for a moment, her mind was all over the place. She wanted to be with him, she didn't care what other's thought of it. Judith knew that what he did was dangerous, she would worry of course but she wouldn't hold him back or try to change him. She knew that he wanted her to live a happy life, she knew that he knew that they would face difficulties if they chose to be together. She brought herself to her window and slammed it close then she went to her bed. When she sat down the little dragon climbed into her lap and began to paw at her for attention. Judith looked down at him, she smiled weakly. She brought her hand back and forth against him gently petting him. ------ "That is fine," he said to her, he smiled warmly. "There is no need for you to apologize, mi'lady." he bowed his head, when he lifted himself he began to walk slowly, her hand still in his. "May I have your name?" he asked, Bryon had not asked for her name yet, he felt like a fool. "My apologies, I was so distracted by our conversation that I forgot to ask for your name. I did not mean to be rude." he smiled weakly hoping that she would not think poorly of him for such a small mistake. "My name is Bryon, you may call me that instead of Lord or Sire." Bryon never allowed anyone else to call him by his name, but she wasn't just anyone. He waved two guards to come to them and ordered them to open the doors to the castle. When they did Bryon stepped outside, his eyes grew wide at the crowd that had gathered outside of the castle. He called over one of the guards and spoke to him briefly. "Don't let anyone be a fool, I trust my people but I do not wish for any violence. I will not tolerate it, if you must strike a villager then do so." he hissed, the guard shook a little in his boots and nodded. He went off, when he returned with more guards Bryon felt better. Though he was still concerned for his own safety and for the safety of the queen. The crowd whispered, what was happening? "My people," his voice was loud, they fell silent and looked up at him listening. Bryon smiled at them, though it was certainly a nervous one. He was still not use to having all eyes on him but he would push his phobia of public speaking to the side. He had to be confident and calm or at least seem that way. "I have good news," he looked over the crowd. They did not stir, they watched him waiting for him to speak again. "It is true, the talks of peace had been revived and today peace has been created. The war had ended and from now on Dark Elves and Light Elves shall live together in harmony!" the crowd erupted with cheers, the overwhelming sound of clapping filled the air. Bryon turned to the Dark Elf queen and smiled. When he looked back at the crowd he spoke once more. "A celebration shall be held tonight! This day shall be remembered forever!" he was pleased with the other's reaction, though he knew that not all Light Elves would accept the peace. Their hatred would not be tolerated. ------ The festival had began only a hour later, most villagers were thrilled when the king announced that peace was not between the Dark and Light Elves. Those who did not agree remained in their homes, the king had warned those who tried anything would be firmly punished by himself. He would not allow the hatred for other's to continue anymore. The festival was held in a square-shaped area in the capital. It was large, everyone fit comfortably, there was plenty of room. There was decorations, music and of course alcohol and food was being served. A fountain rested in the center, a massive one and children played by it. Torches had been lit to light up the surrounding area. Bryon sat peacefully in a chair, beside him the queen in her home. He was speaking to her, getting to know her a bit. They looked forward to the future. Judith had left her home, she bathed and changed for the festival. The set up amazed her, it was absolutely beautiful. Unlike anything she had ever seen before. Her father had stayed home, he seemed rather nervous about the peace happening. She didn't try to convince him to come out, she knew how he felt about Dark Elves and there would be plenty of them at the festival. She was surrounded by familiar faces and of course some that she had not seen before. She pushed passed a few people as she watched some villagers dancing near the fountain. Judith was rather drunk, it was a festival after all. She was not one to drink but considering what they were celebrating she had not hesitated to down more than a few drinks. She didn't know where Rhyldrin was, though maybe it was better that they did not speak. She was still mixed up about what had happened earlier. |
He didn't mean to really upset her, he really wasn't expecting her to have a answer let alone remember he asked such a thing. He felt like a idiot as it was for not saying anything to her aside from he had to go. 'stupid.. ' he sighed under his breath a little knowing he should have said something anything. He was going over her last few words to him why was she saying sorry or why say they didn't have to talk about it .. he wanted to but.. it was more that he wanted to make sure it's what she wanted.
To be dragged into a life where she'd be forcing herself into a position to worry on a almost daily basis? Why was he thinking this damn much about it. He needed to keep his head, he's fix things after this speech thing was good and done and then he's explain himself, well if she'd talk to him then. ~~~~~~~~~ She laughs softly before telling him her name "it's Vyndria" She listened to him state his name though she knew it already from reading into the current king before she came to the capital. She smiled again before speaking "it's not rude, we were both a bit caught in the moment weren't we?" She had never thought a second about it really it was just over whelming news to have the thought of peace between the elves. She watched as he gave his orders to the guards but about the same time she noticed that Madaes was walking back towards the other Royal guard and apparently he had tracked down Rhyldrin, though he seemed a little worse for wear for whatever reason. She stood a few steps back from Bryon to allow him speaking room. The three that were still with her stood a few steps behind her, though that was to prevent anyone from thinking of doing anything stupid, there were some light elf guards on the other side as well so both King and Queen were well enough protected. She smiled at him before speaking once he was done with pleasing the crowd "your quite the speaker aren't you? It's good to see that your people are pleased with your words" She had her worries but this lifted most of them. ~~~~~~ After the festival was started Madaes wasted no time to drag Rhyldrin off towards where the small group of them planned to have the drinking competition. "remind me why im doing this again?" Rhyldrin said flatly as he watched Madaes and a few others. Madaes grinned a bit before speaking and draping a arm around Rhyldrin's neck. "because I don't think a dwarf could drink you under so your going to win me some money." Hardly pleased by the answer he removed Madaes' arm from his person. "tsk.. thats a poor reason.." "who cares! just drink you don't have to do anything else, heck the Queens not even mad at you so why complain eh?" Madaes laughed a bit though Rhyldrin didn't find this funny, truth be told he didn't drink all that much aside from once in a while or if things were on his mind.. though on a second thought maybe this was a good idea. Other dark elves did show up, at first things seemed a little tense between the two groups though as the night went on it seemed things evened out or at least settled enough to where some were merging the groups together instead of drawing a imaginary line. Lady Vyndria happily chatted with lord Bryon, she hardly minded his company. She did have a few words with Rhyldrin but she didn't get any reasoning out of him as to where he went and why he seemed to have something on his mind suddenly. She was trying to help him but he was being stubborn as usual. |
"Why do you look so down?" Judith turned and looked at the man who had spoken to her. She smiled weakly though before she could speak he took her hand and began to walk towards the already dancing villagers. "Don't tell me that you're fine when you clearly aren't. Come and dance with me a little bit?" he stuttered, he smiled weakly at her hoping that she would say yes. Judith looked at him a bit confused by his sudden behaviour before she could speak she felt herself being pulled close to him. When she breathed in she smelled a familiar scent, alcohol. It was almost amazing how much it could change someone. "Fine," she mumbled under her breath she allowed him to place his hands around her waist and she placed her own on his shoulders. "What has gotten into you?" she asked him, Judith laughed nervously. "I don't know," he replied he still stuttered his words as he always did. "Though I have never noticed how pretty you are until now." Judith looked at him alarmed by his response. "Don't say such things, Kane!" she hissed then looked away from him. "I'm sorry," his ears dropped and he laughed nervously. Bryon lifted himself from his chair and brought himself to stand in front of Vyndria. He reached out his hand and smiled warmly at her. "Will you dance with me?" he asked, he laughed nervously wondering if she thought he was behaving oddly. Though he wasn't trying to be romantic, he was being only friendly. When he felt her hand in his he helped her stand from her seat and brought her over to the villagers who were dancing. Bryon placed his hand on her waist and held her other above. "I have not danced for a while, forgive me if I am reckless." he laughed. He twirled with her though he kept his distance not wanting to upset her. When it came time to switch partners Judith tried to escape the dancing villagers though she was quickly brought into the arms of another man. She sighed a little, though as she went to tell him that she no longer wished to dance she bit her tongue. Bryon smiled as her, with her he brought her close, he held her gently. Kane had taken the queen, he seemed much more nervous dancing with her. Judith accepted Bryon's embrace, she wouldn't reject him on such a night. Though for some odd reason she felt as if she should have. The way she held him was odd, it felt different. |
Rhyldrin was hardly paying attention to anything really he wasn't even thinking, aside from how pointless this was. Madaes frowned a bit before slamming a different bottle on the table with a grin. "Ok just because I'm determined to see you at least stutter a little your drinking this anyone who still can drink can drink whatever they like."
Rhyldrin looked at the bottle before asking the question though he knew pretty much what it was "your trying to kill me aren't you.. " Madaes questioned his asking "huh? it's just 98 proof.. thats not 100 yet I think you'll be ok." "it's what? They don't make a 98 proof idiot!" He said before glaring at Madaes who was still grinning. "they do now hehe... whats it matter just drink it, you'll be fine hell it probably won't even have a affect on you anyway" He laughed again though he stopped as he was looking out across the area seeing the queen was dancing with someone, it looked like that light elf from before.. though he did after a few moments find what he thought was the girl from before as well? Dancing with the King. thats it wasn't it, when Rhyldrin vanished he went to see her, whatever happened seemed to bother the poor guy. Though Madaes didn't get to say anything to Rhyldrin before Neimi came from no where and started dragging him out to where people were dancing. "start acting like your married to me damn it and not like a 16 year old who just got permission to hang out with the guys!" The other royal guard who was still there with Rhyldrin just looked at him and they both laughed slightly finding it funny. The guard saying he was reminded why he's not married yet. Though the comment seemed to remind Rhyldrin he needed to talk to Judith. "well if he's gone I'm going to stop killing my liver then.. heh" The few still left agreed though they were pretty wasted, not that anyone had a chance in hell at winning this little game Madaes had set up. All of the noise and the clutter of people was starting to get to him as he stood from where he was and started walking, it wasn't really away from the area where the festivities were being held but it was at least away from the crowd a little. Though glancing over the crowds of people together it was rather funny this was something he wouldn't have guessed could happen in a 100 years.. yet here it was. At the same time he felt sorry for Madaes seeing as Neimi loved to dance and enjoy herself.. she'd wear the poor guy out long before the night was over. Seeing as Judith had changed her outfit he never even noticed that it was her dancing with the King of the light elves, then again he was still overly distracted by his thoughts that he had fucked up majorly this time. The Queen smiled at Kane the poor man seemed nervous to no end. "you can stop shaking, I don't bite" She said it in such a soft comforting tone she was trying to make him relax, he needed to enjoy himself instead of being nervous. |
"Are you having fun?" Judith was torn from her thoughts as Bryon spoke to her. She looked up at him and smiled weakly. "As much fun as I possibly can have," she replied then laughed nervously. Why did he show so much interest in her? Ever since her return he spoke to her, it always seemed as if he used any excuse to have her come to the castle. She had overheard his guards gossiping once, apparently Bryon was rather smitten with her. Why though? She was not poor of course, though she was not royalty either. It was uncommon for a king to show real interest in a commoner. She caught a few other Light Elves, even Dark Elves, looking over at them as they danced. It made her feel nervous. She wanted to pull away from him though he held her close and tightly. Judith waited for the next change of partners, she would turn down the next man and flee away from Bryon. Bryon let go of her finally, it felt as if ages had gone by. He bowed then took her hand to her face and kissed it gently. Judith felt uneasy, she watched him keeping her eyes on him. When he released her hand she brought it back and kept to herself not wanting him to take her back for another dance. "I enjoyed that," he said then smiled warmly at her. Judith managed a smile though she didn't stay too long for him to drag her back for more. "Thank you for dancing with me my lord," she bowed quickly then fled from him, though she suddenly felt someone else's arms around her before she got too far. Kane almost forgot to bow as he finished dancing with the queen. He stumbled a bit as he bowed quickly then lifted himself. "T-thank you mi'lady!" he said nervously, he managed a smile. Then he let her go off to whatever she pleased, he turned being met by another woman who wished to dance with him. What had he gotten himself into? |
Neimi noticed was that Rhyldrin was seemingly planning a retreat, though he hadn't gotten too far either. She smirked a little before telling Madaes she was going to get Rhyldrin to dance so he could have a break. He didn't believe she would get him to move more then two steps but he would gladly accept the rest idea.
She briskly walked over to Rhyldron before grabbing his hand and dragging him with her "come on, this is suppose to be a joyous event and your just standing there?" she laughed a bit she was a bit shocked he didn't realize what she was doing right away. Though by the time he did notice she was dragging him to dance he couldn't stop her. Though to admit he did try a few times but she forced him into it anyway. "You know very well I dislike such events let alone this" He hissed a little at her though it wasn't really that threatening knowing very well that she could hold her own against him if it was needed. She smiled all the more before speaking "you dance fine I dunno what your worried about" He frowned a bit at her knowing she was up to something she never cut Madaes a break. "i don't like dancing.. has nothing to do with if I'm good at it or not" he complained under his breath knowing she wasn't listening. "oh stop being a baby, I'm helping you here. I'm surprised your letting other men dance with your little girlfriend over there." his ears dropped a little before he glared at Neimi "she's not my --" She laughed a little seeing how defensive he was to say that "calm down I was teasing, but you know I do want to dance with the King, so I figured you could take her good deal hrm?" She was still smiling from ear to ear, though Rhyldrin wasn't as excited about this. Neimi didn't know of the odd conversation a few hours before this. Neimi had timed this all too well as the switch came and she had half forced him to be paired with Judith. He really didn't want to do this knowing that she was probably still upset or lord knows what at him for earlier. He wouldn't blame her if she slapped him. Though before he could protest Judith was already looking at him and Neimi had moved off to steal her dance with the King as she wanted. Probably to see how long he could last. Was this really Judith? She looked.. yeah he needed to get his thoughts off of her looks and say something before she got even more pissed at him. His ears dropped a little before speaking knowing Neimi knew something was up and she did this on purpose. "I'm sorry.. for earlier." He paused a moment trying to think of what else to say though his focus was a bit torn for the time being. "i shouldn't have run off like that even if I needed to be somewhere.. " He couldn't think of anything else to say he'd have to wait to see how angry she was with him, for the time being he kept his distance or at least as much as he could from her just in case. |
Judith looked up at him, she was quiet at first though after he spoke she brought herself to speak as well. "Please don't apologize," she mumbled quietly, Judith brought her hands to his shoulders and brought her body close to his. "I should not have gotten so upset and you had to be at the castle. I'm in the wrong, I'm sorry." her ears dropped, she smiled weakly at him. "I let my emotions get the better of me, I should have more self control." she couldn't be mad at him. She had suddenly told him that she wanted to stay with him and then expected something more than Rhyldrin to be surprised. She should have known better, she was being cruel. "I don't care what happens to us after this night," she whispered softly to him. Judith rested her head against his chest. "I want to spend the night with you, in your arms. Is that alright?" She closed her eyes and listened to the music playing, she would not worry about what would happen with them. As long as she got to spend the night with him she would be satisfied. She would be hurt if he left her but that was his choice and she wouldn't try to convince him otherwise. Judith opened her eyes and they wandered over the other Elves dancing, the Dark and Light Elves were mixing together for the first time. It made her feel happy. She lifted her head from his chest and looked up at him. "If you're tired then we can go back to my house," she purred, she smiled warmly at him. "I can sneak you in my window. You said earlier that you didn't like your clothes," her body was now as close as it could get to him. "I can help you be free of them, even if it's for a little bit." |
He shook his head a little "No, I do have to say sorry. I asked you the question and wasn't prepared for the answer. I should have been I guess.. but I wasn't I figured you had forgotten it really." It was still a bit of a shock to him, she said it and she was admitting to saying it so what was he suppose to say? "stop saying sorry, your fine. Really I'm just glad that your not irked at me for not saying anything before.. I should have still said something. But I'm not quite sure what that something is still." Least he was being honest, he had no idea how to handle this situation at all.
Not that he really had to think about what to say to her, of course he wasn't going to say no to her request why even ask if it's already she could have said something like if its not alright deal with it and he wouldn't have cared. "Silly.. of course it's alright, you don't even have to ask that question." He paused a moment before speaking again he wanted to make sure he was thinking clear enough to say what he needed to. "you said that you wanted to stay with me no matter what happened.. you don't have to ask to do such things then." He smiled at her, he had a point she did say that she wanted to be with him no matter what others thought or what happened, so asking to spend the night together wasn't that out of the question. He laughed slightly at the idea of being forced through the window again, though it would at least give them alone time. He'd take that any day over all of the clutter and noise here. It made it hard to think. "We can go, I've had my fill of this for one year I think.. " really he had his fill for the next 50 years if he had a say in it. He was just thinking of resting, that alone would be nice though he next little comment as she pressed her body even closer to his made him withdraw that this was going to to just be a simple embrace. Had she really just said that so openly? she had to be drunk.. or at least a little. Though either way he knew that one had caught him off guard, he also knew it had caused his face to turn hot. "heh.. maybe you should sleep off some of what you drank before you say such things?" he laughed slightly though it oddly sounded a bit nervous, not that he really had a reason to be so. Either way it gave him a excuse to leave and he'd gladly take that before they pulled the partner switching. |
"I didn't drink that much," she said then laughed quietly. She kept herself close to him, her ears dropped she was disappointed by his response to what she had said. "Even if I had not drank I would have said that because that's really what I want." she whispered softly to him. Judith brought her hands to his and took them in her own. "I'm tired of dancing, we can go now." she purred then took her body away from his. She smiled at him and kept a hold of his hands, making him walk with her. "You seem nervous, you don't have to be around me and I don't care if the other Elves see us leave together." she turned from him and let go of one of his hands, though she still held the other in her own. "They can think whatever they want, it's none of their business what we do." she added, she felt a little thrill go through her. When they came to her home she made Rhyldrin walk silently and slower with her not wanting her father to hear her speaking to him. She left him by the wall, above was her window. Judith noticed that her father and his friend were no longer in the home, though she wasn't worried about that. It was good that he was out of the house finally, he had become a hermit like she had. She raced up the stairs and when she entered her bedroom she closed the door behind her then slid the bar across it to stop anyone else from entering. Judith went to her window, she ignored the chirp from the little dragon who woke up when she opened the front door. Judith opened the window and poked her head out. "Come up," she said to Rhyldrin. She brought herself away from her window then began to light a few candles to bring light to the room. |
"you say that.. don't you go getting mad at me in the morning then saying you can't remember anything" he was just teasing her, really he sort of envied that fact she could get tipsy. He smirked a little seeing as she pretty much said what she was thinking so openly once more. "I'm not stopping you this time" Ok to really get down to it, he'd be lying to himself if he said he didn't want what she did...
Leaving couldn't have come soon enough, he was glad to leave the fuss behind, that could have happened over two or three hours ago really. "hrm?" He questioned her saying he seemed nervous, sure he was but it wasn't about what she thought. "I'm... it's not that" He sighed a little, what was he nervous about aside from the fact this was really happening and he had long put it in his mind it couldn't. Though she was wrong about why he was nervous it wasn't about people seeing them together, rather the latter that she mentioned is what was getting to him. Probably just the stress of today was all, being dragged out here and then trying to get over what Judith said. Though her outfit current;y was hardly helping any of this, it certainly wasn't helping with the way she was talking about wanting to relive him of his current attire for a little while. He waited for her to get to her room once they got to the house, though he had to admit that he wasn't fond of going climbing through a window so much as to make it a habit. Really it was a rather odd request no matter how you looked at it. At the same time his thoughts did drift to what was Madaes going to tell the queen as far as where he ran off to this time... he was pretty sure he had to accompany her back to their home capital. Though on the same note he hardly cared, it wasn't like he had to do such tasks he wasn't one of the royal guard after all. After she said come up finally he sighed a little, good thing he didn't have any wounds currently or this would be a fun task to pull off. Once he managed to get back into her room he shook his head a little. Really he was tired though it was more mentally then anything, but at the same time he had t admit he was looking forward tot this. Forget what she brought up at the end he was happy with settling for the lesser of the two. (yay fail post!) |
Judith brought herself to stand in front of Rhyldrin, she smiled warmly at him then ran her hands from his waist to his shoulders slowly. She rested her hands on his shoulders, then took hold of his coat to bring him closer to her. It seemed that the little dragon knew that it wasn't the time to bother them, he climbed down from the bed and went to a smaller bed that was meant for a dog. Judith had been given it when she was a small child, at one point they had a puppy though not for long. The little dragon snorted and curled up in the little bed. It took a lot for him to resist running to Judith or Rhyldrin. With him being an attention whore and all it was surprising that he wasn't pawing at their legs right now, cooing and purring for them to tickle and scratch him. Though he would behave for now. He wasn't stupid, he saw the way that they were acting or well at least what Judith had just done anyways. Judith pressed her body as close as it possibly could get against his. She laughed quietly then looked up at Rhyldrin still smiling. "You know that I still love your skin?" she tilted her head to the side, some of her hair fell into her face. "I still think that it's beautiful and I love your eyes." she breathed out heavily, she knew that she was blushing. She brought one hand to the side of his face and ran her thumb gently over his cheek. "Rhyldrin..." her ears dropped a little, she kept her eyes on him not wanting to look away. "I love you." she whispered. |
He laughed once listening to her as she was blushing, he might be dense but he wasn't that dense. "I know.. I love you too.. probably have for a while" He spoke with as much confidence as if he had recited these lines, he didn't. But if he was nervous in the least it wasn't showing anymore. All the times he had spent avoiding her to prevent this very conversation, he wasn't sure why he had bothered now. He had always put it aside as to what he felt towards her because he figured she was just tormenting him and things would never get this far.
He gently placed a hand under her chin to tilt her head a little as he brought his lips close to hers. "I'm glad.. that you said yes, I'll do my best to protect you." He kissed her after he was finished speaking, he did want to protect her. It seemed to be his role in life. To make sure she was happy and to ensure she was safe somewhere even if times were about to throw a mountain of troubles in their path. Pulling away for a moment he was still looking into he eyes, she still looked so innocent like the war never affected her at all. He knew it did but her eyes told her soul's true state. "god your beautiful.. whatever you see in me, I'm glad you see it because I don't think I could ask for anything else to be honest" Sure he thought she was beautiful before or at least good looking, but it was really sinking in that he could just say such things to her now it didn't matter anymore. |
"I think that we have just been avoiding this the whole time," she laughed quietly though she knew that Rhyldrin had been resisting it a lot more than herself. Judith had tried to had more control over her own emotions. She closed her eyes as his lips touched her own when he pulled away she opened her eyes and watched him. "You don't always have to protect me, I can protect myself and you know that." Judith leaned up, if she wasn't wearing her shoes then it would even be more difficult to reach him. She pressed her lips against his, she kept him close for a moment then she pulled away from the kiss. "Beautiful?" she looked away from him for a moment, her smile grew wider and she laughed nervously. "You know... I still have no clue what you said to me the first time I realised it was you." she looked back up at Rhyldrin, Judith took one of his hands in her own. She placed it on her thigh, with her hand on of his she slid it up to her hip under her dress. "That's not fair, speaking to me in a language that you know I can't understand." she purred. |
"I think I'd agree to that.. the month that I avoided seeing you, seems that was a waste of time heh" It was a little funny to him really they could have done this sooner.. but now felt right. Maybe it wouldn't be as hard with the talk of peace and everything. "I know you can protect yourself.. trust me I know." He smiled weakly at her remembering the fact she nearly killed him with the first arrow she fired let alone the 2nd one that was a miss on purpose. "I want to though... even as kids I felt like I had to or I needed to watch out for you. Is that wrong?" If it bothered her he wouldn't or at least he'd try to pull away from trying to protect her as much.
"hrm.. I guess it's not fair is it." He never planned to tell her but at the same time he never saw this happening either. He left his hand where she placed it for the moment trying to think on what he said to her. Though he did remember as he moved his other hand to her ear and gently down along her neck with a slight smirk on his face. "ussta ssin'urn 'anon" He repeated what he had said back then before he spoke again. "It means my beautiful flower." Flower might sound a little weak, but there were plenty of flowers that could do damage throughout the forest, more the just roses or a few of the eating ones. "I didn't plan to see you after I said it." |
"No that isn't wrong at all," she said answering his question. Though she wasn't sure if he wanted an answer or not. "I like that you care about me so much, I like that you worry about me but don't worry too much, alright?" she smiled warmly at him. When they were young she worried a lot about Rhyldrin getting into children. She also always wanted to protect him. "I will try not to worry so much about you as well. I know that you can take care of yourself." she fell silent as he moved closer to her. Judith skin felt hot as he spoke in a foreign language, her cheeks burned and her ears perked up as she listened to him speak carefully. She took both of his hands in her own and walked to her bed with him. "No one has ever said the things that you have to me," she stopped beside her bed. Judith sat down, she still held his hands in hers as he still stood in front of her. "I have never felt this way with any other man before." she looked up at him as she spoke, her voice became a whisper. Judith kicked off her shoes, she released his hands from her own then brought her hands to rest on his hips. Judith opened her legs and brought Rhyldrin to stand between them. "I don't think that I could ever love another man as much as I love you, Rhyldrin." she ran her hands up his shirt and caressed his skin. "My Goddess..." she mumbled softly, she was rather surprised with herself. "All I want is you, that's all that I want tonight and every day from now on." |
"I won't.. I don't think I worry as much as you do anyway" He smiled a bit knowing she did always worry, though she had a right to he guessed. It was the possibility that he wouldn't come back one day and she may never know what happened. Thinking on that, he didn't want that to happen not when he had a reason to live now. Maybe he'd call in a favor someone owed him. He'd tell her later if he switched what line of work he took up during his free time.
"well you can't say that anymore can you.. " So he might have a soft side, but it was only to her. Whatever had caused it he didn't care. She seemed more then happy at the moment hell he knew he was. The one person he had cared about all these years.. He didn't have to force his mind away from such thoughts that he couldn't have her, not anymore. He listened to her say she had never felt this way before with another, to be honest he had never looked at another. He never wasted his time, he thought that such things were a waste of time. Until now. "You won't have to" Was his reply to her saying she didn't think she could love another as she did him. "I'm not going anywhere.. so you won't have to." Really his heart was pounding in his head or it sounded like it anyway, he didn't have to hold back anymore.. yet he still seemed to hesitate a little. He had dropped the jack off of his arms a moment before she moved her hands into his shirt. Her touch alone was sending his mind into a trance of sorts, her hands were soft and gentle as they moved. "I'm yours then, as long as you want me. Forever even, if that's the case so be it." He soft softly to her before moving a little and leaning over her to kiss her lightly as he moved his hands to her shoulders and then down along her bare arms. It was a odd feeling to him, he almost felt a little dizzy from all of it. The exchange of words the simple touching, why had he run away from this before. |
"Sorry," she laughed nervously and watched Rhyldrin for a moment. "I can't help but worry about those who I truly care about. You will just have to get use to it." his body felt warm against her hands, she craved his warmth more than before now. Judith lifted his shirt and leaned forward placing small kisses along his stomach. She pulled away then looked up at him smiling. "Rhyldrin, I want to be yours forever." she purred, she brought her hands away from his skin to let her hair down. She shook her head a bit allowing her hair to fall wherever it chose to. Judith brought her hands back to Rhyldrin, she took hold of his shirt bringing on top of her as she fell back on to the bed. Judith squirmed a little bit making herself more comfortable. The bed was a queen-sized bed, it was soft and Judith sank into it's comfort. She ran her hands down his chest and to his stomach, she curled them under his shirt and began to pull it over his head. "I have wanted you for so long, Rhyldrin." she whispered softly, Judith threw his shirt to the side then ran her hands slowly up his body. She felt his scars, it alarmed her a little bit though she said nothing. Her eyes wandered over his body out of curiosity then she looked back up at him. There were so many. "I couldn't be with another man, I don't want anyone else. I want you." she breathed out heavily, she felt as if this was a dream. Judith never knew that this would happen between them. She felt a little light headed herself from all of this. It was overwhelming really, everything that Rhyldrin was saying and being so close to him. Judith brought her lips to his right shoulder, she kissed along it gently then up the side of his neck. She stopped at his ear and let out a quiet laugh. Though it was kinda of like a giggle. "I just want to kiss you all over," she whispered. She brought her lips to his cheek, then the corner of his mouth. Judith closed her eyes, she lingered by his lips for a moment then press her own against his firmly. She brought of of his hands and slid it up her thigh, under her dress. She never wanted this embrace to end. |
"I think there's quite a few things I'll have to get use to" Not that he really seemed to mind as he spoke. He didn't but all of this was something he'd have to get use to. The odd thought dawned on him that he couldn't stay here and she couldn't very well just live in the basically one room quarters he called a home either. That could be dealt with later though instead of getting distracted now.
He moved a hand to gentle brush a few stray strands of her hair out of her face after she pulled him on top of her. "whatever you want my love" He spoke softly to her, he'd gladly accept having her forever. A purpose even to live from day to day. He had that as a child and lost it as they grew apart. Maybe this was suppose to be all this time. He never thought twice about the fact that he had scars, it never bothered him. Though most were due to close calls, they were almost a record of how many times he had cheated death. Though he simply smiled at her as she spoke again. "I've wanted you when I first laid eyes on you.. for the second time" Sure even if they were kids back then, he still wanted to be with her. He never recalled any real bad memories of spending time with her, but back then he didn't care about the differences .. and it was before the war erupted. "shh, I already said I'll protect you.. you don't have to fret over being with another. I promise I'm not going anywhere. I'd never leave you." He was trying to reassure her, he'd be fine no matter what happened and he'd stay with her even if he had to fight a army .. he'd return to her. "so please, don't worry about that." He said before kissing her neck lightly and moving a little to kiss her lips just as lightly, it was odd for him to be the same person that was out on the battle field mere weeks ago. Yet he was so loving and gentle with her. He gently moved his hand from her thigh that she had placed it on to her side and then lightly across her stomach before returning it to where it had started from. He wanted to imprint this feeling in his mind. Even though she said she wanted to be with him forever, he still didn't want to forget her during the times they would be apart. But he didn't think that was possible, everything about her... it made her, well her. Each kiss she placed sent a small shiver through him from each spot she had placed her lips. Even if this never went further.. he could live with just this. The simplicity of it all was amazing none the less. "whatever you want, as I said I'm yours.. and your mine. Nothing and no ones going to change that or steal that from us." He spoke to her again before stealing her lips for another kiss and moving her dress a little. Sure he was taking this slow, but why rush it when both of them were enjoying the embrace on it's own. |
Judith giggled softly as he kissed her neck, the feeling of his lips against her skin made her feel excited. It felt as if her entire body was numb from his embrace, her need for him was almost unbearable. "Don't worry," she whispered softly before his lips pressed against her own once again. "I know that you're not going to leave me, Rhyldrin." Judith pressed her hands against his chest. "Wait, let's get more comfortable." she laughed quietly then lifted herself, her legs were hanging off of the side of her best. Judith brought herself to lay properly on her bed, she rested her head on her pillows then pulled Rhyldrin back on top of her. "That's better." she pressed her lips against Rhyldrin's. When she pulled away she spoke for the last time. "Now, enough with this talking." she whispered then went back for another kiss. This time it was rough, her hands found their way to his pants. His pants slid off with ease, Judith ran her hands up his stomach and to his shoulders. She wondered if he was happy to finally be out of his attire. She helped him pull her dress over her head and she let it slide to the ground beside the bed. Judith breathed heavily, she closed her eyes and arched her back. His warm skin against hers was unlike anything she had ever felt before. She couldn't even begin to describe how much she loved it. She could hear her heart pounding in her chest, her eyes fluttered close. ------ She lifted herself from the bed for half a hour they lay with each other in silence. Judith went to her dresser and pulled open one of the drawers. She pulled out a night gown and pulled it over her nude body. She went back to the bed, she crawled into it and brought herself on top of Rhyldrin. Her lips pressed against his shoulder and then she rested her hand on his chest. "Can you stay with me until morning?" she finally broke the silence in the room. Judith lifted her head from his chest and looked up at him. She wouldn't be frustrated or upset if he had to leave her soon. She understood that he had escorted the queen here and was expected to bring her back. "I'm not going to be upset if you say no, alright?" she whispered, she moved a little then kissed his neck softly. "If you have to go then go but come back soon." she brought one of her hands to his face and brushed a few strands of hair from it. |
He seemed to think on his answer before speaking, she wasn't going to be upset if he said he had to go. Though at the same time he didn't want to leave. He didn't really have to leave, Madaes and the other tow could handle the Queen. At the most he'd get a bit of a lecture for running off again. Though he didn't answer her right away, she seemed to think he was going to run off anyway so he'd let her go on for a moment.
"Mmn.. I think I'll stay, though I will leave in the morning." Not like he could stay here, that'd be a little odd, or at least he thought so. "They'll make out fine without me assisting in taking the Queen back.. besides I'm not really one of her guards." He smiled at her, though really he had a point he had no real duty to listen to the Queen's word.. he just did out of respect and he had already done as she asked. she never said he had to go back with them as well. "Besides.. didn't I tell you that I was staying with you tonight and every night?" He wrapped both of his arms around her keeping her close before kissing her lightly. He'd deal with a few things tomorrow, one being if she was staying here or .. if he had to figure out something else as far as living was concerned. It was a little odd for him really, to be thinking about such things like living with someone. The very thing he thought he'd never have to worry about. Not that he was bad off funds wise.. he wasn't really sure how much he had stashed away by now, but he'd have to go back to his own capital to find that out. (lame post >w<) |
Judith smiled as he brought his arms around her and kissed her once again. Rhyldrin seemed so different now, she didn't say anything or tease him for his behaviour knowing that he probably only acted this way around her. He was gentle, kind and the way he touched her was as if he was handling a fragile object. She felt unbelievably safe with him like this, she never thought that she could feel this way with another. It really was odd, how when the right person came along everything changed so dramatically. "Really?" she asked when he pulled his lips away from hers. Judith closed her eyes and kept her face very close to his, her nose brushed against his and she breathed out a happy sigh. "You really want that?" she felt as if she should repeat her question, make it more clear. "You would have to sneak in every night," she laughed quietly then placed a small kiss on his nose playfully. "I don't mind though, I can leave my window open for you and my father wouldn't bother me." Judith paused for a moment she wondered how her father would feel about this. Her being in love with a Dark Elf. Judith pulled away from his arms and climbed off of him. She brought herself beside him and laid on her side facing him. "It would be like a little adventure every night, sneaking you in at night and out in the morning." she laughed though it was a rather nervous laugh. What would happen if he got caught entering her home or leaving? What if her father mistook him for an intruder? That wouldn't be too good. She brought a hand to his stomach and ran her fingers up to his chest then rested it there. |
It was a bit odd the way he acted with her, he even treated her differently then most when they were children. Though back then it was more that he thought he might hurt her. He still didn't know what it was about her that he had been so drawn to. But at the same time he wasn't going to complain about it either, maybe it was better not knowing and being happy with it.
He looked into her eyes though he gave her a bit of a look when she was repeating herself. He understood what she had said before she didn't have to repeat it. "Yes really, when have I once gone back on my word to you?" He couldn't think of a case so it was a solid enough argument to her asking him again. Though he wasn't as thrilled about the window idea as she seemed to be. Thinking on it, he couldn't really ask her to live with him. It was probably a common practice over here as well, but it was really looked down upon for couples to be together without being bonded in some form or another. Though that was something he really didn't think was the time to ask, let alone how do you even go about asking that.. plus it was probably too soon anyway. He seemed to be thinking about what she was saying and his own thoughts on top of it. "heh.. sounds like it.. " He was just agreeing with her for the time being, his other thoughts were what if he was caught that'd hardly look good no matter how you tried to explain it. It'd have to do for now if he was to keep his word to her, he had already said it and he wasn't going to upset her by going back on it just because it would be a challenge. Besides it wouldn't be for forever.. well it could still be for a while with how he was with this sort of topic. Timing was everything right. His other thought seeing as she mentioned him was her father, he doubted that he'd take this news once it got to him well ... He was still laying on his back for the moment but he turned to face her as he pulled her close to him. He liked having plans for most things, but all of this was hardly planned, it was getting to him a little. The unknowing of how this would all turn out, in the end this could still end him in bad terms with one side or the other. But it was a bit late now to think of such things. |
"Hey," she mumbled quietly as he pulled her close again. She brought her arms up and wrapped them around his neck. "You look so worried, you seem deep in thought." she whispered to him, it had suddenly hit Judith that they were in her home. Well, of course they were. Where else would they be? Though that wasn't what she was worried of, she had not heard her father come home and if he was could he hear them speaking if he was home now. "Don't worry about seeing me everyday, I would love to but you have your own life." she smiled warmly at him then placed a kiss on the corner of his mouth. "It may be a bad idea for you to sneak in every night and then out every morning." she laughed nervously then pressed her lips against his. She pulled away and breathed out heavily. "I don't know what I would do if my father caught you in here," she looked at Rhyldrin, she meant it. She couldn't even begin to imagine his reaction to his daughter being with a Dark Elf even with there being peace now between the Dark and Light Elves. "I don't want him to think that you're an intruder when really I'm inviting you into the house." her smile became weak, how would she even be able to introduce Rhyldrin to her father as a friend? It may be easier then just telling him that she was in love with him right away though it would still be very hard. Judith twirled some of Rhyldrin's around her fingers playing with it. "I'm too tired to get into this things any further," she pressed her forehead against his and her eyes fluttered close. "We can worry about all of this nonsense tomorrow or some other day." she pressed her hips against his and smiled. "You need your rest anyways, since you will need it to explain to the queen why you disappeared." she teased. |
"I wouldn't say worried, in thought yes" Least he admitted to something for once, probably a good hint as to his mind being distracted. It wasn't that they were in her house, it was everything else really. He had things he needed to do, let alone what was he suppose to do if he ended up with a contract that had him going off for days or weeks on end? He really needed to look into a new profession, normally he hardly cared and dying in battle didn't seem like a half bad idea. But that wasn't the case now.
"Shh.. I'll try to see you everyday, even if I don't stay the night each time." He smiled at her a little still holding her close. "Don't worry, if I think I won't be able to pull it off that night I won't stay. You forget I do this sort of thing as a living." It was true enough, sure he wasn't the best at it but he was well above average at sneaking around or getting to a certain target, if thats what you wanted to call it. Though she did have a point, he didnt need to be on worse terms with her father then he probably already was. Or at least he thought he was seeing as her brother hated Dark elves.. he was pretty sure the father would as well. He didn't really want to think about her father.. they'd have to tell him eventually.. and he had another task he'd have to deal with towards him as well. He smirked a little before kissing her lightly. "I need my rest to avoid doing just that." If he had a say in it he was going to avoid telling the Queen anything, though he was sure Madaes had blown his cover by now .. he had a rather large mouth after all, also enjoyed spreading rumors about him behind his back. "but your right.. we both need sleep." (feel free to do the time skip my brains er not with me @.@ sorry for the lame post!) |
( My posts are pretty lame as well, I'm sorry. D: ) Judith woke up before Rhyldrin, she was still in his arms. For a few minutes she remained still afraid that she would wake him, he looked so peaceful as he slept and happy. Though she finally pulled herself from his arms, slowly though to see if she could someone get up without waking him. She doubted it, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and looked down as she heard a happy chirp. The little dragon sat beside the bed, he stood on his back legs and stretched out his front legs, pawing at her legs as he did so. Judith smiled at him and reached down a hand to scratch under his chin. She then opened up her hand allowing him to climb into it. She lifted him on to the bed and he crawled into her lap without hesitation. "You always want attention," she whispered softly to the little dragon. He purred as she scratched under his chin and then behind his ears. It squeaked when she began to tickle it's sides suddenly, she laughed quietly. "You will have to be patient, I will have to feed you a bit later than usually." she looked over at Rhyldrin and smiled. "I hope that you're awake, I think that we slept a little later than we shoulder have." she lifted the little dragon from her lap and placed him beside Rhyldrin. Judith stood and leaned down as she walked away the bed gathering Rhyldrin's clothes. She held them in her arms then went to the side of the bed where he lay and let go of them, they fell on him and she laughed a little. "Get dressed silly, I would feed you but I don't think that that can happen." she wandered over to her window then opened the curtains, light poured into the room lighting it up. She pushed open the window then peered outside, her window was facing an alley way and she hoped that Rhyldrin would not be seen leaving her room. |
(aw but i liked the convos :D)
She didn't have to worry about him not being awake, he was a light sleeper anyways due to certain reasons. He really couldn't afford to be a heavy sleeper and live in the work he commonly was thrown into. Though he didn't move at first, he had to admit that he slept well though.. but he sort of missed it now not really wanting to get up. The dragon chirped at him as he moved a hand lazily and held it out as the dragon rubbed against it and purred before turning to bite him lightly and then went back to making the hand pet him. It really was a attention whore, you didn't even have to work at petting it, it was almost funny. He was about to get up on his own when she tossed his clothes on him. He groaned a little before drawing his hand back from the dragon. "That reminds me of something else I'm doing today... " He was referring to the fact he planed very much so to burn these things. Sitting up he stretched and popped his neck to one said before he bothered starting to get dressed. "Don't worry about it, I don't normally eat in the morning anyway.." Then again normally he wasn't up at this hour either but he never mentioned that to her. Now that he thought about, he'd have to get use to these times instead of what what normal for his kind. Not that it was really that hard to adjust, it'd just take getting use to. After he had finished redressing he sighed a little before walking over to her near the window. "stop worrying.. I won't be caught." He said softly to her before moving slightly and stealing a kiss from her. "But I do have to leave, before someone noticed your talking to yourself in your room." He smirked a little at her knowing he had a point. |
Judith laughed quietly then pressed her lips against his once more before he left her. "I suppose that you're right," he mumbled quietly as she pulled away from his touch. "I wouldn't want my father thinking that the war had driven me mad." though some how the war had not done that at all. It was surprising to see Judith come back as normal as one could possible be after seeing so many awful things. There were a few men in the Capital who Judith had known as a child or had met at her camp. They were not as lucky as she was to come back sane. "I worry all the time, I'm sure that you know that." she laughed nervously, she pulled herself away from him knowing that if she stayed close to him for any longer she would be pulling him back to her bed. "Be careful and behave." she teased, she smiled at him. When he left she closed the window behind them then began to clean up her room. ------ When Judith had not seen Rhyldrin for a few days she felt a little worried at first. Though when she had not seen him for a week she brushed away all of her worries. It was possible that he had been sent off to do something very important. If she spent all of her time worrying it would only make her sick, she wouldn't allow that to happen. This was normal, Rhyldrin being out and about for long periods of time. Though she wasn't sure what she would do if she didn't see him for a month. She had already began to miss him terribly. The little dragon had began to miss him as well, whenever Judith thought she heard someone outside of her window she went to it only to be disappointed. Eventually she began to ignore the noises, if it were Rhyldrin he could let himself in of course. Bryon had been busy after the peace was brought between the Dark and Light Elves. The poor man was flooded with problems after the events took place. It wasn't that the peace was not working out, it wasn't that. He was dealing with a few other kinds who had been at war with his kind for centuries. The peace between the Dark and Light Elves was only the beginning. It only take one person to change the world, he was determined to be that person or to at least influence other's to follow in his footsteps. Though it wasn't going to be easy to get there, Bryon was no fool. It would take time, he wondered if he could even be alive for when peace came between everyone. It had become clear that Dragon Folk did not like Bryon that much. Though it wasn't surprising considering all of the violence that had occurred between the Dragon Folk and the Light Elves. He was not aware of what they were up to, they had been watching him for quite some time now and had come up with a plan. It was clear that Bryon had fallen for Judith, ever since being back at the Capital he frequently met with her and came up with any excuse to have her at the castle. It wasn't only the big things that he did for her but also the little things. They planned to kidnap Judith as she slept, she was certainly a weakness of Bryon's and they wanted to use that as an advantage. They wanted something from him, something that his father had taken long ago. |
His plan was to be back long before the week, though what he had been sent off to do by the Queen was a bit more annoying then he first thought. The quick task turned into a very long drawn out process as he waited for his chance to get to where he needed to be. There was a small human settlement that was slowly pushing it's way into the edge of the forest. Though as far as he could tell it was only for supplies and they were respecting the boundaries aside from that, not over hunting. Why the hell was he sent out here again?
He sighed a little staying in the tree he was perched in as he waited and watched. She had told him to keep a eye on them and to report back but what was he suppose to report back? That it was maybe 20 head strong and was mainly just a few families living together and trying to survive in these lands. Yeah well aside from that .. thats all he had. After another few days he brew tired of watching and finding nothing out of place, he deiced it was time to return and report his findings, this also meant he could see Judith again. He never really knew he could find himself thinking or missing someone .. but he did her, he felt terrible that after one night after all the things that were said and he had ended up missing for over a week. With his mind made up he finally left his perch and started back towards the dark elf capital to report his findings and then he'd go to the light elf capital.. so he could see Judith and to ease whatever worries she had about him being missing for a week, he was sure she had them. |
Judith was tired from a long day of training, she had given herself some time to rest after returning from the battlefield though she knew that she couldn't allow herself to rest for too long. The last thing that she needed was to become rusty with her skills. They were something that she would always need even if peace was between everyone one day, if that even happened in her life time. There were still plenty of bad people out there, she knew that too well. She crawled into her bed, the little dragon climbed up to the bed using the sheets that hung over the side. She buried herself in the comfort of her sheets and pillows. The little dragon brought himself to one of the pillows, he chirped happily before curling up upon it. It didn't take long for Judith to fall asleep. Though she wouldn't be sleeping for very long. Two figures sat on the roof of Judith's home, they kept themselves low not wanting to be spotted by any guards. The last thing they needed to be was found. "Be careful," the woman hissed, she reached out quickly and took the back of the man's shirt in her hand preventing him from stumbling off of the edge of the building. "Idiot!" she spat at him, he smacked her hand away receiving a smack across the back of his head for it. "Pay attention!" she whispered to him bitterly. "Stop treating me like a child, Anna." he hissed showing his teeth though it didn't intimidate her at all. He was much bigger than her, one reason being that he was a male, though that didn't make her feel scared at all. They bickered for a bit though fell silent as a guard strolled by. She turned to the man and barked one last time at him. "Get the damn girl!" his ears went down a little bit, he didn't like being told what to do. Though he would listen, he wasn't going to mess up this mission. The man brought himself to the edge of the roof above Judith's window, he held onto it and flipped upside down then bringing his legs straight he dove into her room. He landed quietly on his feet, his wings neatly drawn back to avoid them knocking into things. He wasn't too sure of the layout of the room, he wasn't going to be clumsy and risk waking the sleeping Light Elf. His cold hands reached out towards Judith, he pulled her from her bed. She struggled, confused by the sudden cold touch, this was not Rhyldrin. Her took one of her hands in one hand then brought her close against him, he held her close. Then used the other to cover her mouth. "If you scream then I will cut off your tongue," he hissed into her ear, her weapons were too far and she could not fight off someone of such a size. She nodded slowly agreeing that she would not scream. He removed his hand from her mouth slowly, unsure of if he could really trust her. He lifted Judith up carrying her bridal style with one hand under her, he went to the window then climbed back to the roof using the other. It was not hard while holding her, she was tiny and her weight was nothing to him. The woman looked at Judith then up at the man. "You idiot!" she spat, she was quick to tie Judith's wrists then ankles together as she was still held by the man. "Don't let her be free like that." she hesitated smacking him, she could do plenty of that later. "We have to go now!" she hissed at him. He looked at her with a puzzled expression. "Why?" he asked, she crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head. "One of the guards saw me, he ran off towards the castle. Let's get going before half the Capital storms over here." "Go the the Dark Elf Capital!" Bryon barked at the guard, his face was twisted with anger. How could he have been so blind? It couldn't have taken the Dragon Folk a few days to do this, no they had planned this for weeks. They had watched him, trying to find any weakness that they could. He knew damn well what they wanted. "Get me the Dark Elf named Rhyldrin, tell him that I wish to hire him." the guard nodded then fled from the room. Bryon laughed nervously, he never thought that he would have to hire Rhyldrin again. |
By the time the messenger got to the capital Rhyldrin was just leaving the Queen's presence. Some of the royal guards stopped him and took him to where the poor messenger was resting for the moment. Though the news he got was hardly something he wanted to hear. The man never spoke a word of why the king wanted to hire him, just that he needed to speak to him as soon as possible.
He agreed to the terms and went about leaving the dark elf capital and making the trip to meet with the king. It took at least a day to travel that far and he was pushing himself really. He never took the time to see how Judith was, something in his gut told him that the king wouldn't send such a message if it wasn't important. Upon arriving to the capital he explained to the guards that he had been asked for, and the king had made a point that he did send for Rhyldrin. Though he was hardly going to like the news he was about to get from the king. He hardly liked being in the capital.. let alone the castle once more as he waited for the guard to come back and tell him the king was ready to see him. the waiting was what got to him, such a important sounding message.. why would he need to hire Rhyldrin personally.. there were plenty of his own kind that he could call upon. After a few moments the guard came back and walked Rhyldrin to the King. It only took a few mere moments to walk to the room he was in, but for some reason Rhyldrin felt like he was going to dread whatever news passed from the light elf's mouth. After the guard started walking away he dropped to one knee before reciting some formal blabber that he knew he was suppose to be saying in the presence of any royal, even if he had a feeling this was the same man that had hired him to kill the last king. Sure Rhyldrin had no taste in getting mixed up in royal or official affairs for that matter thus why he stayed out of the army and the royal guard. But he was still no fool as far as certain policies went, he was going to follow them unless told other wise. "My liege, you sent word for me?" He finally did question the man before him. Though he had a idea of why, he needed Rhyldrin's skills for some task, it was why he needed his skills to go as far as sending a urgent messenger out to track him down that bothered him. |
Bryon waited anxiously in his room for Rhyldrin's arrival. When he was told by a guard that he had arrived the guard was quickly told to bring Rhyldrin to the room immediately. He wasn't sure how long he had before something horrible was done to Judith. The thought of her being played with like a toy was sickening, though at the same time he didn't want to return what his father had taken from the Dragon Folk. There was a damn good reason for this. Bryon bit his tongue allowing Rhyldrin to speak first. He stood straight, shoulder back and his hands between his back. He didn't speak for a moment, how was he going to word this? Though he had to spit something out soon before Rhyldrin lost interest in him. "As you may have heard I wish to hire you," he said to Rhyldrin, it smiled nervously wondering if Rhyldrin would find this funny in a way. "If you reject the task then I don't know what I'm going to do." he laughed nervously then took a step towards Rhyldrin. A heavy sigh escaped from his lips, he looked at Rhyldrin with tired eyes. The past week had began to catch up to the poor man, being a king was not an easy thing at all. "I have been having a few problems with the Dragon Folk recently," he was quick to speak again not wanting Rhyldrin to think that he was being hired for another assassination. "I have something that they have wanted for a very long time, my father took it long ago when things had began to settle down between the Elves and them." he seemed a little bothered when speaking about his father. "He took advantage of them, they have been angry ever since." he brought one hand to his chest and rested it there, under his shirt he wore the very necklace that his father had stolen. "It seems that they had been planning to take something for a while," he took his hand away from his chest and looked away from Rhyldrin for a moment. "They had been trying to take something that meant to me as a way to get back the necklace." he seemed nervous, though he brought his eyes back to Rhyldrin. "I'm not quite sure how to say this," sudden anger grew in him. "They took her, they took Judith." he breathed in heavily, then out heavily in an attempt to calm himself. "I need your help to get her back safety, I don't even want to think about what they could be doing to her." |
He listened as the man went on, he didn't really need to give him all the details or life story he would have just needed that Judith was taken and that the dragonkin had her. He kept his thoughts on this to himself though in his mind he vowed that they'd pay, even having never faced a dragonkin before he vowed it. He didn't need to show the king of the light elves his feelings for Judith, not if the dragonkin used her as a barer chip for whatever object was taken from them.. it meant that they had noticed the king hanging around her as well.
He wasn't sure he liked the idea of competing against the king for her, but in truth he didn't see it as a bad thing either. She'd probably be happier for starters and then the fact that no one would look down upon such a relationship. Though he'd never voice his concerns on the matter as he finally spoke again though he dropped formalities altogether this time around. "My swords are yours then" He spoke as calmly as ever with his words, and it was over all him saying he was accepting the job. He seemed to wait to see if the king had anything further to say before he spoke once more "I'll take my leave now, the less time they have the better." He bowed towards Bryon before turning and starting to walk out, really he agreed with Bryon on that, who knew what they could be doing to her. The idea that someone was going to harm her hardly was settling well with Rhyldrin. If he had come back sooner this wouldn't have happened. He spared no time to prepare supplies for the trip, and it was a hell of a long one at that. The dragonkin lived in the mountain regions where lava flowed like rivers, or at least thats where most lived, there were a few clans spread out in the northern regions and as well in the south. Each group being slightly different in looks and in how they behaved. The trip alone to get to the region was going to take at least a few weeks if not more due to weather and lord knew what traveling conditions, not to mention if he was caught traveling in the dragonkin territories before he got to where they were probably holding Judith then it wouldn't be pretty either. The dragon hatchling had managed to sneak into Judith's clothes before she was taken, he wasn't going to let he be taken alone as he was following his promise to Rhyldrin to look out for her. Though his size made helping.. impossibly. |
( I hope that this post isn't lame! ) Judith hit the cell's floor with a loud thud as the man tossed her in with ease, she cringed at the pain that ran up her side from the impact. Judith opened her eyes and looked up at the man who had taken her from her room. She had kept quiet the entire way here though now the overwhelming urge to speak came over her. "Why have you taken me? What makes me so important?" she asked in a demanding voice. All she saw for a few moments was darkness until her eyes adjusted to the dark, though she was still having difficulties, she could barely make out any of his features or any of the woman's either. Before the man could answer her questions the woman roared with laughter. She pushed the man to the side then walked over to Judith. She stood in front of her, a wicked smile crept across her face. Judith flinched as she felt the woman's boot press against her chest, she cringed when she felt her hell against her ribs. The man watched silently at the doorway, he seemed a bit uncomfortable. He probably knew what was about to happen. "You have no right to speak, Light Elf!" the woman spat she kicked Judith in the ribs and laughed when she cried out in pain. "You may not speak unless spoken to, do you-" "I have a damn name!" Judith interrupted, she was rewarded with another kick for this. The woman's smile disappeared, she leaned down and brought Judith to her feet, her hand around her neck. "Anna!" the man hissed, he took a step into the cell though he hesitated to stop her. Judith squirmed in her grip, she opened her mouth to breath but couldn't. "I don't care what your damn name is!" Judith closed her eyes, she felt light headed. "Anna, let her go!" the man demanded though it seemed that he couldn't get her attention. Anna's eyes remained on Judith, there was an unsettling look in her eyes. For a moment Judith felt as if she was looking into her brother's eyes. How could one be full of so much anger and hate? She would never know. The man approached Anna, he placed a hand gently on her shoulder. She tore her eyes away from Judith and looked up at the man. "Let her go before I make you." if she didn't let go of the woman soon then he would have to pry her hand from her neck. Though Anna listened, she let go of Judith allowing her to fall to the ground below. Judith breathed in heavily though she began to cough violently. "I don't think that the king would be pleased if you killed the damn woman," he hissed at her. Anna smiled, she held in the laughter that wanted to spill out of her body. "You're too soft, Marcus." she whispered her words to him. She pushed herself pass him then left the cell. "Let's go!" she barked at him. Marcus hesitated for a moment to follow her. He looked down at Judith who looked back up at him. He felt trapped in her gaze, he felt sorry for her. Marcus finally tore his eyes away from her, he left the cell them slammed the door behind him. He wondered what her name was. |
It took at least a few weeks worth of traveling to even get close to the dragonkin's lands, let alone the what appeared to be main city or grounds. He frowned a bit, he had never seen dragonkin before really .. they were long banished after the talk of the races making peace fell through with the last king. Though he noticed the size disadvantage right away, he'd take a guess they could easily hold their own in a fight. Some had wings even how the hell was he suppose to do this again? Then again this was Rhyldrin.. he hardly ever thought any job was impossible.
He took a few days to scout the area trying to make escape routes in his head if he needed them and trying to figure out any form of weakness they may have. Hell he was still in the process of trying to figure out where they were even holding Judith. So far he had little luck and none of the buildings and caves were giving away where they held her. "tsk damn this place why is it so large..." not to mention the heat was almost unbearable in certain locations. Though he lucked out in the fact there were plenty of small nooks and caves that the dragonkin probably couldn't fit into, so escaping was a possibility if things were looking that bad. Though he was still left with the question of what or where was he suppose to start, he couldn't make his first move yet.. he couldn't afford to be noticed. He'd wait till nightfall once again then go back to his scouting. He needed to have at least a good idea of where they were holding her before he could make a plan, so far he had been very lucky and didn't run into any conflict. Though his luck was probably running thin at best. It seemed a few of them held or carried no weapons, this either meant the strength in these creatures alone would be enough for a fight or that they were magic users.. both did not settle well in his mind. The idea of fighting something that could go hand and hand with him with just fists was a little un-nerving even. Hell on that note what were the odds daggers worked? Some of these dragonkin wore armor let alone they did have scales to a extent.. maybe the softer looking areas daggers or swords might work. |
( this is going to be lame D: ) Judith had been interrogated countless times over the past week and was beaten when she wouldn't answer. Even if she didn't know the answer to a question they asked she was beaten. It didn't matter how much she explained to them that she didn't know a damn thing, they assumed that she was lying. Well, one of them believed her when she said that she didn't know anything. Though he kept that to himself. Judith really didn't know why she had been taken captive other than because she must be the key to something. She had heard some guards speaking about her though she could not make out what they were saying. Something about the Light Elves having what they wanted. Every time she asked why she was being held captive she received a beaten. Eventually she listened to them and kept her mouth shut, she gave up on every getting an answer from any of them. Bryon had been tense for the entire week, he was trying to figure out some way to bring back Judith safety. If Rhyldrin failed then he didn't know what he would do. Though he had faith in Rhyldrin and believed that he could successfully get Judith back. He could always return the necklace but something inside of him that that couldn't be a possibility. He wasn't too sure why his father had stolen it really. Why was it so important? Then again his father was a selfish, greedy bastard and would think of any excuse to take something that he didn't have. Though if the Dragon Folk were making such a fuss about it then it wasn't just a necklace. There was something to it that he wasn't quite aware of yet. A guard entered Bryon's room, he seemed nervous as he approached the king at his desk. Bryon looked up at him alarmed by his sudden presence. He had been so lost in thought that he had not even heard his doors open. "What is it?" he asked the guard, the man brought himself in front of Bryon's desk. He held something in his hand, it appeared to be a package. "Sir this came for you," he said then held the package out for Bryon to take it. "What is it?" Bryon shifted the package in his hands trying to figure out what was inside. "I don't know sir, but there was a letter attached to it and it's writing in some foreign language..." Bryon looked up from the package, was this from the Dragon Folk? Bryon looked back at the package that rested in his hands, he felt uneasy. What the hell could be in this? He reluctantly tore open one of the sides then tipped it allowing what was inside to fall on to his desk. "What the hell?" he said aloud. The guard looked out of simple curiously though looked up when the king brought his eyes to him. Though Bryon didn't speak he didn't know what to say. It was a red lock of hair. |
He had wasted enough time, he needed to find her and quickly. Most if they took a hostage only kept them for so long. Really he had no idea why they took Judith aside from the fact she did hang around the king or he seemed to do favors for her. Sure it crossed his mind, and he was a bit concerned about that fact but he wasn't one to be so bold as to question her or the king about the matter.
With the cover of nightfall he stayed to the shadows and tried to keep out of sight till he could locate Judith. This was looking to be impossible with how large this place was ground level, let alone the caves. Though his searching was cut short as he heard a sudden hiss behind him seconds before he avoided a spear that was thrusted forward. His ears went back as he drew both blades and stood here, it seemed to be a guard by the armor or he guessed it was. This was the real test. Though it was hardly a good thing he was caught.. this was almost in the fucking middle of the city. "tsk.. damn it" He hissed out avoiding another strike, it was almost all he could do to keep up with dodging let alone trying to strike back. This went on for a while till Rhyldrin found himself in a corner, ducking under the weapons next thrust he brought a blade up and struck at a opening in the armor and what he thought might be a weak spot. Though when the creature didn't flinch at all it caught him off guard as a tail suddenly whipped around and slammed him against a near-by wall. He dropped to the ground moments after the impact as he quickly forced himself to his feet and had his blades ready. This was hardly looking good. The one before him seemed to grin a bit before speaking. "that was a clever strike.. shame dragonkin don't have the same weaknesses as most mortals" he seemed to be mocking Rhyldrin, as if he knew for sure the dark elf would lose. Though dark elves being seen by dragonkin were rarer then light elves, the dark elves never wanted anything to do with the dragonkin or at least a few Queen's ago they didn't |
Judith flinched as she felt the man's hand take hold of the rope that held her wrists together. For the first time in days she had finally fallen asleep despite how uncomfortable she was. Her exhaustion had become unbearable and she could no longer keep her eyes open anymore. The sudden touch had waken her from her sleep, she opened her eyes and looked up at him. Something sparkled, her eyes tore away from him and she looked at what he held in his other hand. A dagger? She began to squirm though he pushed her against one of the walls and held her still, he was much stronger than her and much bigger. "Stop struggling," he whispered to her, what was he doing? Was he putting her out of her misery, had they had enough of her? She looked back up at him, she wanted to plead for him to not harm her. Though she doubted that she could change his mind and she doubted that she would be able to fight him off in her current state. Even if she did have energy she doubted that she could last long against one of his kind. She whimpered as he brought his dagger to her wrists, she closed her eyes as she felt him bring it back and forth. Though he wasn't cutting in her flesh, she felt the ropes around her wrists become loose. Then they fell from her wrists to the cell's floor. Then he leaned down and did the same to the ropes around her ankles. He stood silently for a moment then put his dagger back where it belonged. "There," he mumbled quietly to himself. Judith brought her right hand to her left wrist and began to massage it. "Why did you do that?" she asked him, she closed her eyes expecting to be hit. Though nothing happened, Judith opened her eyes slowly and kept them on him. "You have had those on for too long, I think it was about time we gave you a little bit of freedom." he smiled weakly at her then spoke again. "Though don't go getting any ideas, these cells are heavily guarded and if I even hear that you tried to escape," he took a step towards her, he was very close. "I'll take care of you myself." he hissed. "I doubt they will kill you, you're going to be kept alive for as long as you are useful." "Why am I being held here anyways?" she asked, the man laughed at her question. "We're using you to get to the Light Elf King, though that's all that I can really tell you." he took a step away from her afraid that he would spill any more information. He shouldn't have really told her anything, it could get him in trouble. Though before he left Judith spoke again. "I doubt that you would harm me, you don't have the same eyes as that woman or the others." he hesitated to leave, he lingered by the doorway. "What is your name?" he asked, a surprised expression washed over Judith's face. Why was he asking that now? "My name is Judith." she replied, she kept any comments to herself. "My name is Marcus." he mumbled quietly, Judith could barely make out what he had said though she believed she had heard him speak his name. Then he left her, he closed the door and locked it. "Keep an eye on her!" he barked at the guards. |
He had tried to escape from this fight but he didn't get far. The guard that was still fighting him slammed him against the wall again. Wincing a bit more as he fell back to the ground he coughed a little before raising his weapons again his ears back as he kept his breathing under control. 'damn it! I can't even kill one!?; He clenched his teeth as he charged forward avoiding the weapon again and trying another strike on the guard before him. The fight by it's self had lasted nearly thirty minutes. Among the longest fights he had been in in a while...
Though this wasn't a good thing when he was getting his ass handed to him for the first time in a long while. There has to be a weakness.. everything had one what was it. He tried a few more areas before getting a bit frustrated with this battle altogether, was the neck really the only weak spot? He ended up back into the corner again but this time he was going to try something. He used a few near by objects to get onto the roof of a building and quickly tackled the dragonkin following him from the building and slamming the daggers into his neck. This seemed to do the trip in killing him as he drew the blades back and let out a heavy breath. "damn it.. that took too long" |
Anna had heard the sudden commotion from outside. "What the hell was that?" she asked looking up at the two men who accompanied her. She lifted herself from her seat and went outside, her eyes wandered over the surrounding area. The two men followed her curious as to what was happening. "What the hell?" she asked aloud, her eyes landed on Rhyldrin and then they went to the dead Dragonkin. "How the hell did he get in here?" she nearly screamed the question, the two men behind her looked at her nervously they didn't have an answer for her. "Everyone in this damn place is useless!" she screamed. She released her sword from her side and approached Rhyldrin without hesitation. When she heard the two men behind her begin to follow her she looked back at them and barked at them to stay back. "I'll take care of this, I don't need your damn help!" she spat, they nodded though they really didn't want to listen to her. It was rare to come across a Dark Elf, what made one come here? It was also odd to see that a Dark Elf had killed a Dragonkin. "What brings you here?" she stopped a few feet from Rhyldrin and looked him over. He certainly was in no shape to fight her, he wouldn't last long. Though she didn't plan to kill him, she would capture him and keep him as a pet for some time. Anna couldn't remember the last time that she came across a Dark Elf. It had been centuries. "Poor baby, look at you!" she laughed, a smile crept against her face. "Now come here and be a good boy!" |
