Elvara grumbled at Zek as he spoke "So what if he says something" She said turning to him with the scowl still on her face "Think I care as to what hey may think?" She asked him as he seemed to take some steps forward. Elvara was about to make another comment but it was silenced as the warmth of Zeks hand touched her cheek. It was soothing the feeling though the words he chose to say were less then wanted.
"So your saying you dont like my face now" She asked still annoyied from the crew member. Elvara knew that Zek was implying no such thing but she was still pissed off. She then huffed "Sorry..." She said slightly before moving her head into that hand and kissing it lightly. |
He shook his head a little. "I know you don't, i never really said I did anymore." He never voiced his thoughts on what could happen when he father found out. She'd say he was worrying too much or something. She might be the princess but her father was still the one who ruled her lands and not her. So he could do as he saw fit, and thats what was really starting to worry him. It wasn't like he was immortal, he was very much killable.
He shook his head a little when she spoke. "I never said that.." Maybe he was trying too hard now or something. Though he didn't really enjoy seeing her upset or annoyed. It was a game when they first met but that game died rather quickly. "Silly.. you don't have to say sorry. I rather asked for what I got." He knew he did, she had a temper as did most drows and he had willingly walked into it's crossfire. |
Elvara gave a little smile to that. He was right he did walk right into her temper and she couldnt help but give a little giggle at his statement 'Yes you did" She said simply before leaning over and up kissing him with a smile "Either way we will be there within the day" She said moving away a little "I say a bite to eat up on deck" With that she gave a little tilt of her head before moving to the door.
Giving a little wiggle of her hips she looked behind her to Zek "Well...you comming?" She asked before she gave a smile and headed out of the door. Elvara knew the stakes at hand. If her father found out it would be sure banishment if not worse. Though if it came down to that Elvara would choose to leave of her own will and her father would loose his only heir to the throne. Elvara had back up plans for everything. |
He shrugged a little as she said they'd be there within the day. "Fantastic to our deaths then within a days time, so thats our last supper request right?" He wasn't being serious in the least. Though he did have a fear int he back of his mind that this was hardly going to end well for a number of reasons. Truth of it was he didn't want to go into the demon's realm at all.. but he wasn't going to willingly let her go alone either.
He looked at her before smirking a little. "Getting there." Well she was a little minx wasn't she, where was this side of her during half of this trip? Not that he'd complain about the change he rather liked this side of her better. He followed her to the deck and right away he felt a slight change in the energy there. Probably from the crew, he could see this causing trouble before landfall. |
Elvara laughed a little as she walked away hearing Zek speak behind her. As soon as she took step into the sun she sighed as the crisp breeze fell upon her skin ruffeling through her hair. Walking over to some stairs she began to climb them until she reached the upper deck where a table was already laid out with fruits and meats and breads of all kinds. "You" She said point to a crew member "fetch another plate and chair" With that She sat down at the spot already made out for her.
Just then something was said behind her that she could not quite hear. With out turning her head Elvara spoke "If there is something you wish to speak say it so I can hear it" With that one of the males took a step forward. A daring move. He then spoke "M'lady this man-" But Elvara cut him off 'Is of no concern to you" She said. Though when he spoke again "Hes a meer halfling what dose my princess want-" Thats it Elvara was pissed "Continue speaking and the mines is where you will be as soon as I set foot on land" Assuming that the conversation was over Elvara reached before her and began to grabb some of the fruit that lay before her when she paused in her motion as yet again the male began to speak "My princess but-" |
He saw this coming from last night, he never had to think twice on it. The halfling comment he was going to let go. But the male seemed to go a bit longer. With his second protest even after Elvara's warning he proceeded to call Zek a demon and accusing any of his other blood to be corrupted. Normally just the halfling comment or half blood would have sent him over the edge. Though today he had been in a rather good mood till that last part.
His ears went back a little as he quickly grabbed the male and slammed him against railing, seeing as that was the closest solid object aside from the floor. The man struggled to free himself but that was a wasted effort. "You want to say one more comment about what blood i have? you forget one thing I went willingly the other day into that cell. If I had felt like killing you and the rest of your sorry lot I could have done so." His eyes were a mix of the deep blue they normally were and red now as he spoke holding the male there half threatening to force him overboard. "What she does or choose to do in her spare time is her business.. it is not your duty to question what your own princess does in that time or who she chooses to spend it with." With that he still held the male there though it was easy to tell that Zek could back up the first part of what he said about taking the crew on if he had so wanted it. After a few moments he pulled the male back up to his feet before releasing him. "I'd advise you keep your mouth shut before I get angry" He had noticed that a few other members of the crew had made their way to the deck by now as he glared at him the same coloration in his eyes. Elvara only saw part of his ability to fight when she caught him training that one day, aside from that he had managed to keep it rather well hidden from her. |
Elvara was about to stand and cut the throat out of the male that not only questioned her but pushed his luck three times. After Zek pulled away she noticed the other crew members begining to serface on the deck. Looking over to the male Zek just forced to his feet she gave an evil smile "Be thankfull to him" She said in a snarl "He just saved your life" With that she waved her hand towards him 'Take him to the celler and chain him...the mines wait for him" She said in a snarl and smiled as the men walked over to them. Grabbing the male and dragging him off.
This is when Elvara huffed "Now...dose anyone else wish to say anything?" She said "I am more then happy to silence each and everyone of you" With that she looked about and noticed that all hung their heads in submision. 'Thats what I thought now leave us to out meal" |
He never said a word further, really he didn't feel like eating after that little bout. He needed to calm down again he had almost let himself go too far with just scolding the other male. He shook his head a little before leaning against the railing with a bit of a heavy sigh. It was almost funny, Elvara probably thought it was half a bluff with him killing anyone. She had seen him fight but it was hardly anything impressive.
He knew things would get worse once they hit landfall. Or rather as soon as one of the crew opened their mouths to the king. He had dug his own grave this time didn't he. Not even meaning to. Well least it was enjoyable while it lasted, for whatever short period that was. Maybe it was the fact they were getting closer to where the portal was opened at and thats why he nearly managed to lash out without thinking twice about it. If that were the true case he needed to watch himself. |
Elvara sat there as they were left alone she sighed "Dont let something like that get to you" She said before standing and walking over to where Zek was she gave him a smile 'Everything will come into play in do time" She said. Elvara knew of the thoughts Zek had for they were her own as well. "Lets...just enjoy the here and now" She said with a little tilt of her head.
|
He shook his head a little. "It's not that... I normally don't just go off like that thats whats worrying me." Even if the bracelets she had did work there was a chance he could break them. Though he didn't voice that to her. He sighed a little having calmed himself again. "I know.. we'll just say I don't look forward to going back in there." He had his reasons and none of them were pleasant ones. "Go back to your food. I don't always have to eat remember?" No point in him ruining her meal just because she was trying to help, though she did help even if he didn't act like it.
|
Elvara sighed before she went back and sat down at the table. "At least sit and keep me company...you dont have to eat" With that she began to eat her self. Having some fruits she smiled to herslef as she ate slowly. She was happy though when Zek came and sat down at the table "See was that so hard?" She asked with a little tilt of her head. Elvara didnt like seeing Zek upset or angry so when he lost it...it scared her a little.
|
He looked at her after sitting and hearing her comment before folding his arms. "Hardest thing I've ever done in my life, how dare you put me through this." Of course this wasn't being serious but it was keeping his mind from other thoughts. Maybe he should get up with Vaden somehow in the case something did go wrong while they were in the other realm. Though she had that blade still.. she could handle herself if it was needed.
|
"I knew it" She said in mock anger. Elvara then gave a little growl "You are just going to have to deal with it now arentcha" Elvara said with a little tilt of head. She was about to make another comment when a crew member came up "M'lady land hoe" Was all she said causing Elvara to smile "We are there!" With that she stood and headed down the stairs to stand at the tip looking at the land mass coming to view.
White sand beaches and lush forest was the first sight before the boat turned and began to go around the side of Iland until it turned into a cove. This is where the kingdome revealed itself. Fishermen fishing, sales people selling...and up on the hill in the middle of everything was the royal palace watching over all. |
He was smirking a little that she was bothering to play this little game with him about what he had said. But that quickly died at the mentioning of land. Thats the last thing he wanted to hear. It meant two things, one they were soon to go into the other realm and two her father was probably going to personally kill him as soon as one of the crew blabbed his mouth.
He didn't bother to follow her this time. He was caught in his own thoughts for the time being. He really disliked going into the other realm and she'd find out soon enough why. Sure demons whatever, he had more personal reasons to not wish to return there after the first time years ago. |
"Isent it great?" Elvara asked as she looked at the harbour. But when she got no response she turned "Zek..." And saw that she was alone. Going back up to where the table sat she saw him still sitting there "Look...you dont have to come..." She said to him "I could arange the boat to take you back if you wish" She said with a little dip of her head.
Elvara couldnt do this alone and she knew that but the way that Zek held back and just from the way he looked she knew that he didnt want to be here...so why force him? |
He flinched a little when she spoke causing him to lose whatever he was thinking so hard on. "No it's not that.. " She'll find out once they got there he was sure.. "Besides I already said I'd rather if something happened you could get away." He was determined to at least do that much for her. He just feared going in there, he couldn't hold back in there it could mean the death of both of them.
Standing he shrugged a little. "Don't worry about it, your not getting rid of me that easily. I gave you plenty of chances before and you turned them down." He smirked at her a little before recrossing his arms. He needed to stop thinking so much, it was going to cause her to think something was wrong. Well it was but not.. |
Elvara then huffed before she walked over and leaning up she kissed him quickly before standing back and looking at him "I know there is more then one thing preventing a happy nature from you" She said and before he spoke she spoke again "For one we will cross my father when it comes to it" She said and almost laughed at the shocked look on Zeks face. Yes she was not stupid Elvara knew exactly what was wrong with Zek.
"And for two...you will know what to do...even when all seems hopeless." She said. It was a little riddle that she knew would occupie the males mind for a while "Either way we need to go port is comming into view" With that she turned and headed down the stairs again. |
"I'd rather not if I can help it." He said when she mentioned her father. He didn't look forward to that one bit. He knew how most royals or nobles were... "No I second that I really don't want to have that conversation if it's safe to call it one." He knew where that 'talk' would go for sure. And it would hardly be a talk.
Though what she next caused him to pause a moment. He'd like to think they wouldn't cross into feeling hopeless while down there. That was hardly what he wanted to happen. He sighed a little following her. "Yeah yeah, might as well get one of the two evils over with." Whatever one came first anyway. |
Elvara smiled at that "Oh come now its not going to be that bad my father is a nice man" She said "Besides I have to report home before anything" She knew that Zek was not looking forward to even being near the place but she needed him to do this with her. Elvaras father was stern and cold most days but he held special placement in his heart for Elvara and she knew that.
Once they hit port Elvara got off the boat and smiled at the carrage that awaited her "So I see papa knows im home" She said before walking over to it and getting in. She sat there a moment alone before she stuck her head out the door "Would you stop day dreaming allready and get your ass in this cart!" |
"Yeah nice... I'll believe that when I see it." He knew this wasn't going well now. He'd go with her but it wasn't like he had a damn choice in the matter. It was true though she did have to report home, at least maybe say they have two of the three items needed. Not that it'd make a difference if they couldn't get the third item but still.
He glared at her before following her lead. "I was hardly day dreaming, thinking of the number of things that could go wrong today .. yeah probably." He wasn't thinking of anything really, just a few things Vaden had told him about the gates. He was going over it in his head for a brief moment. At this point he thought he might rather go brave the demon realm then deal with a Lord drow in his own kingdom. Let alone being seen with his daughter and lord knew how fast word traveled for anything else. |
Once Zek was inside the cart and it began its way Elvara sighed "I know there is alot that could happen" She said "I have thought of everything to you know" It was true though Elvara was more concealing of her thoughts then Zek was. Truth be told it was always on her mind. Elvara gave a little sigh as she closed her eyes "Everything will work out...just wait and see" She said in hope.
The rest of the trip was in silence both of them thinking on what could happen from here. Though her thoughts stopped as the cart did. When the servent opened the door she looked to Zek "It will be okay..." She said before exiting the carriage and walking up the large steps to where a man stood in wait. He was tall and lean with short silver grey hair spiked to the touch. He was wearing royal armour and bowed before Elvara "M'lady Elvara welcome home" Elvara smiled "Good day dear Reznic" She said. Reznic was her fathers personal gaurd "I have come to take you and your guest to your father" |
He listened to her but didn't really respond. Yeah everything would work out but that didn't stop his thoughts in the least. He knew she had crossed over everything that could happen but still. He was only worked up over all of this because of the demonic realm. As soon as they got there she'd figure out why he had been bothered by going there.
Though when they seemed to get to their destination he wanted to cringe a little. He gave her a look saying he was hardly convinced of her words. But he followed her anyway. He'd have to or she'd yell at him, though for the time being keeping his mouth shut was the best idea. It wasn't till now he even realized that he disliked being away from home, at least he somewhat felt safe there. After the guard was done speaking he bowed slightly to the man. No he didn't have to but he knew better then to step out of line at the present moment. The portal just being on the island caused his skin to crawl, he hardly wanted to deal with anything else. Be over quickly be over quickly. He kept thinking to himself wanting to get this over with already. Not to really get away from her but the sooner they did something about that portal the better he'd feel. Of course he did leave out a few details Elvara would kill him for holding onto. Vaden never told her them either so it wasn't completely his fault. When the guard moved to start walking he followed Elvara, though to be honest he hardly wanted to. If it weren't for the damned portal he probably wouldn't second think on any of this. |
Elvara fallowed Reznik in silence her mind going over what she was going to say to her father when she saw him. Elvara would go over everything that took place intime that she left till now...keeping out some minor details. They kept walking down long halls until they reached a room with large double doors. This is where Reznik turned to Elvara "His lord is in a good mood today..please do not anger him" He said and Elvara smiled 'Why on earth would I?' She asked with a little tile of her head before Reznik smiled and knocked on the door once before opening it.
Entering she smiled at the room. It was the throne room of the kingdom. The walls were covered in pictures of former kings and queens. All of them leading up to a chair where a man sat. He was lean and tall with shoulder langth red hair with a small beard to match. Walking up Elvara bowed to her knees infront of him though she didnt speak till Zek was the same way beside her. 'My lord and father" She said before raising her head "I have returned from my mission with two of the three relics" With that she took the pack off of her back and placed the items on the ground before her. This is when the king choose to speak "My lovelie daughter returned before the quest is finished...thats odd" He said with a tilt of his head before Elvara continuted. "Yes well you see father...the last relic seems to be within the gate itself" She said and this earned her a look of detest from the male "So...you need to go to the deamon realm and get it...By your self" Elvara smiled "No my lord...let me intraduce Prince Zekrak from the kingdom of Caleas" With that the king gave a smile and a nod his head "So...your the young lad that seems to have captured the sight of my daughter" He said "And a prince to boot...not bad' He said before he changed his placement and sat up straighter peering down at Zek |
Zek followed her just as silent as she was. Though he had his reasons to be so, this was too far away from his own grounds to be causing any trouble. Then again that could have already been done if word had traveled that fast. He was sure it would have. Most royals kept good tabs on their offspring... they were the next due to rule after them after all. Though he questioned if Ryza bothered keeping tabs on him or not, probably in her own way.
Entering the room didn't help his thoughts. Really if anything it fueled his thoughts of ever encountering the King alone as being the last thing he ever wanted to do. Followed Elvara's lead he didn't do anything but listen at the present time. Least they seemed to have a relationship. Hell each time he saw his mother she tried to kill him. Aside from that it wasn't like he didn't know what to do in the presence of another lord. He had payed attention at least to that much. Though he wasn't expecting the King to say something like that. The fact he mentioned anything half made him feel like he was dead as soon as he found a way to do it. In truth he had no idea what to even say as a reply to that so he tried to refrain from saying anything at all aside from maybe a weak nod followed with some reply to show he was still respecting the king. |
Elvara almost wanted to smack Zek for not even addressing her father with words. She sighed a little before the kings words broke into her mind "Well then. It seems the trip has been long but eventfull" He said slightly "So now Elvara if you please excuse us and head to your chambers for rest. I would like to speak with this young lad" He said motioning down to the still bowed Zek.
"As you wish father" She said before standing and bowing once more leaving the room. Elvara knew that she was going to hear about this from Zek later with something along the lines of 'How could you leave me in there alone!' Elvara smiled at that thought as she made her way to her chambers. Still inside the room the kings gaze still locked on Zek before he stood and walked down the short steps to where Zek knelt. "Stand and come with me son I want to show you something" With that the king turned and began to walk down the room till he came to a painting. The king knew that Zek would not go against his command so when he reached the painting he spoke. "This my son is a painting of the former king and my father" He said motioning to the picture. It was a standard painting. The king standing behind the queen who sat in the chair with the prince perched at her feet. Though the painting was ordenary there was something different about it. The queen was not a pure drow queen. Lighter skin and bright blue eyes greated him "My mother..." The king said 'Was a halfling but a queen non the less" He said before turning his head 'A mans blood dose not tarnish his worth" The king knew exactly what had taken place between Elvara and Zekrak it was something he saw comming the moment his spy came and gave information on Elvaras mission. "I have waited a long while for someone brave enough to put up with her" He said before turning to look at him "Dont disapoint me" Was all he said before dismissing Zek and watching him leave out the door with orders of a gaurd to take him to Elvaras chambers. |
Through all of that he didn't expect it to go over so.. smoothly. Even if he felt a little faint at the present time, though he wasn't sure if that was because of the energy this area had at the present time or because he swore he was a dead man. Though really he wasn't expecting this turn of events. He could hardly say anything from feeling like he needed air just from being in here almost alone with the King. Minus the guard of course.
He had to admit he could relax a little when he seemed to speak again about someone to put up with her and to not disappoint him. If she doesn't kill me first. Was his first thought though he didn't say that, maybe if things went well enough he might feel that brave to speak on that level but at the moment he was rather tame to say the least. His only words to the King was he'd do his best, though along the more formal lines. When he ordered a guard to take him to Elvara he bowed before taking his leave and following the guard. After a bit of a walk the guard knocked on the door and waited for Elvara to say something before he opened it and quickly shut it after Zek had walked in. It's a good thing he did though seeing as Zek quickly leaned against the door with a heavy sigh. That was beyond stressful, he knew for sure that was going to go worse. Though from Elvara's expression he wasn't sure he was out of the water yet. |
Elvara when she reached her room sighed heavily "Dear lord I hope daddy dosent kill him" She siad to herself before going about unpacking and repacking. By the time she was down there was a knock at the door "Enter" She said and was a little shocked to se Zek walk in...and he wasnt dead "So I see it went okay" She said looking at him "I am shocked your mouth didnt cause a problem"
That is when she walked over to him after he looked at her and gavea distastefull look. "Im glad because I know that mouth of yours can be an issue" With that she leaned up and kissed him. After pulling away she smiled "I like it though" She said before taking a step back. |
He glared at her a little. "Like I could think of something to say... I knew by the first comment that I was a goner." He was still in shock he wasn't, hell he didn't even get yelled at. Quite the opposite, he got a brief family history lesson instead. Though he'd take that over a lecture any day.
He did give her a look, he couldn't help it. She just pretty much said he had a mouth problem. Just because he was open about what he thought at times didn't mean it was a problem... ok it did land him in some hot water from time to time. Though when she seemed to kiss him it disrupted any thoughts of being mad at her for saying such a thing. "Is that so? I'm not sure I'm convinced of that." He said smirking a little. He needed to avoid taking this any further though, he was still a little sick feeling that the King even knew. He still wouldn't put it past him if something else happened or he went missing. He hated dealing with other royal and nobles. |
Elvara smiled a little "Oh and what should I do to convince you?" She asked with a little tilt of her head. Elvara was just teasing Zek knowing full well that now was not the time for realations of more then just that. Elvara then smirked and stepped towards him again "Do I have to do this?" She asked kissing the underside of his chin "Or this..." She said kissing his chin "Or what of this..." She said kissing his lips.
Backing away afte a moment she gave Zek a smile "Does that help?" She asked with a little tilt of her head before giving him and smile and turning towards the chairs that laid infront of an already roaring fire. |
This at the least helped take his mind of of what his other worry was. Going into that portal.. probably tomorrow. "I guess that will do for now. but only for now." He warned her, though it was hardly a real threat. After she seemed to smile and walk toward the fire he followed her to sit near her. He had to tell her before it just happened.
"You remember when I said my father was banished?" He seemed to pause a moment. "We'll just say thats not true. He was banished, but not." He sighed a little. "I've been against going into the portal because now he's not even the same person he use to be. More or less he's a lapdog to his brothers." He didn't want to go because of his own blood, the fact that he knew for sure they were part of the reason that the relic was even there. |
Elvara was a little shocked to say the least when Zek spoke to her telling her something about himself. Though when he was done she frowned a little "In the end he is still your father though" She said slightly 'I think that in itself holds more power then you even know of" It was true that they both had concerns about the portal but Zeks concerns were more worriesum then hers.
|
He shook his head a little. "It doesn't the rules change there. He couldn't tell you my name, who I am. He wouldn't even remember Ryza." He sighed heavily before looking at the fire. "I've already tried before, me and Vaden opened a portal... he nearly killed Vaden back then. And.. well I'm rather useless in a fight." He smirked a little, his father was a king of this world, but a mere prince of the other realm. How were they suppose to deal with all three of them if it came to it.
"Maybe we'll be lucky and just find the relic and be done with this whole mess. No more demons." That probably had a hidden meaning behind what he just said. "Either way you need some rest. We have a bit of work to do tomorrow if you were planning to go in there." |
Elvara listend to everything that Zek said. It was true that it didnt mean anything but when Zek continued speaking she dipped her head a little "I see...so the power that binds them is more powerfull then what I thought it to be" With that she rubbed at her forhead the heat of the fire was making her sleepy and it was true that she needed her rest but she didnt want to go bed...not yet.
Getting up Elvara mooved to infront of Zek before sitting down at his feet and resting her head on his bent knees. There she peered up at him with half lidded green eyes "I know this will sound silly but...I trust you to make the right choice when it comes to it" Elvara didnt need to say anything more at that point. |
Looking down at her he shook his head a little. "It's not silly, I volunteered to stay behind to ensure you finished your mission remember?" He looked back to the fire a moment though his expression seemed a little drained at best. "Besides.. what could go wrong, we've had such a smooth trip all this way." Now he was just being a smart ass about it, they had their ups and downs by far.
He didn't want her to find out till she had the items and everything was over what Vaden had told him. With these items it would seal the portal forever, and banish any demons in their realm back to the demonic realm. This included halfbloods. Though there was a chance instead of banishing if they were in this world the ritual would kill them. She didn't need to know that, she might refuse to go through with her mission. All the times he had pushed her away was for her own good, she could call him selfish and he could have told her another story to make her think that was why he pushed her away. But truth of it was Vaden had told him once they started this quest that there was a chance if not a guarantee these events would take place. |
Elvara turned her head and bit his knee as he spoke of the smooth trip "Oh yeah right. You and I both know how that smooth was" She said with a little laughter in her voice "But...its almost over" She said resting her head back upon his knee. Elvara knew of the danger she faced tomorrow but she didnt want to think of that. Elvara did not want the thought that she maybe forced to leave even kill this man tomorrow. At that thought she shuddered.
Sighing Elvara leaned back before she stood "Well...either way tomorrows going to be a fun day...we should get some sleep" With that she walked over to the large four poster bed that laid on the other side of the room. Plush pillows and silk sheets awaited the warm bodies. Changing and sitting down she looked over to Zek who still stared into the fire with some far off expression "Seriously I never knew you could think that hard let alone at all" She knew the harsh quip would get the males attention and she was hoping for it. There was no reason to dwell on it...it was going to happen one way or another. |
He shrugged a little with a bit of a cocky smirk. "Eh normally I'd say I try when I can but I wasn't trying." It was rather funny he said that just .. because he felt like it was the right thing to say. Normally he would have said such a thing to get a rise out of her or to get whatever he wanted. But that time was different. At least he got to say something of meaning before everything tomorrow?
"Yeah.. almost.." He repeated after her, it was true though. Everything would be better after tomorrow no matter what happened the world would be better at the least. He watched her walk off for a few moments before going back to his thoughts. Everything he had been told said this would be over tomorrow, no matter what he wanted. At least he found something worth remembering before it was taken away, that was something or at least one way to look at it. His thoughts were disrupted as he heard Elvara speak and he shot a glare over at her. Standing before he walked over to where she was he shook his head a little at her. "Shows what you know now doesn't it? Hell for all you know I could be just as powerful as Vaden." He laughed slightly at the thought of it, that was pure bull right there. He couldn't control what powers he had now let alone think of being that strong. |
Elvara could not help but to laugh when he said that. Leaning back up after while she whiped a tear from her eye "Oh man...thank you that was a good laugh" Elvara said crawling into bed "You and I both know that you cant fight worth a damn" She said laying back into the pillows. "Or you can but your scared of your true power" She said slightly looking to him with a smile.
|
"Eh your right, I'm rather useless in a fight." He shrugged a little, oddly going along with this. "I might as well put on a damn skirt and cheer for you in the background." She had it right though, he didn't like using his powers at all, all of the failed tests that Vaden had done.. they were failed on purpose. But tomorrow he might not have a choice in what powers he had to use. She needed to get out of that realm alive and thats all there was to it.
Sitting on the edge of the bed he laughed a moment thinking about it. "Still trying to figure out why you've let me tag along this far. Your suppose to find the strongest male you can, not the more useless." He was just teasing her though, she probably knew damn well he was hiding what he could do. "Eh guess i'll let you get some sleep then, and I'll go figure out where I'm suppose to be staying." Ok staying here was a option, but he was still getting over the shock that the talk with her father went over well at all. He'd be damned if he was pushing his luck. |
Elvara smiled "I doubt that you are completely useless....last time I checked you could throw rocks" At that she laughed again but her laughter stopped when he spoke of finding a place to stay. "Um...news flash" She said banging on his head "I have a big enough bed" With that she pulled him down back onto the bed with a smile "Besides..." She said as he voice got a little serious 'It maybe the last time..."

He made a slight face at her, though it was true. "Fine i'll throw rocks at the arch demons and see where it gets us." Aside from a early grave that was certain. He was about to move when she grabbed him and pulled him onto the bed. She had a point, he was just trying to be ... what the hell did it matter she was right this could be their last night. Even she knew that much.
He smirked a little deciding it was better to not leave that thought linger in her mind too long. "You wish it was. We'll get the relic and do whatever you need to do with them and the world will be better off." He shrugged a little before moving to lean toward her kissing her lips. "Besides if something happened to me you'd be bored, admit it." He was probably pushing his luck there, but maybe he wasn't. At least maybe shed sop acting like it was the end of the world when they were doing this to prevent that. |
