In fantasy books dragons are wise beings that hold a lot of respect and sometimes help people on quests. No taming.

In mythology dragons a crazed beast that kill people and life stock... And the occasional princess... There is never any taming.

@Chloe~ Not spells persay. He summons demons which come out of the eyes on the skull belt. The only way to summon demons is to trap them in the book. So the book is just a prison I guess.
