"You'd need a Google Earth app for that," Missy commented as Light glared at her and pouted, rather childishly.
|
"I got it!" Mihael snapped. "Okay, now I'm looking up the phone history..."
"I'll get us some wheels." Lawliet offered before turning and running off. |
"Watch him come back with four bikes," Light scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Good thing Chester didn't come with us, then," Missy hummed. "Yeah, for once he didn't stalk someone," Light laughed, slightly. "That's because he was stalking Nate," Missy pressed. "He has no interest in this kid." |
"That guy is sick." Mihael replied. "I can't believe Nate led him on like that."
|
"I can't believe you didn't figure out that he was doing it to make you jealous," Light replied, lifting an eyebrow.
"Man's got a point," Missy said, as if amazed. |
"What are you talking about?" Mihael frowned.
|
"Uh... Hello?" Light groaned. "Nate's like... your oh-em-gee biggest fan, Mister Keehl. Apparently your CDs got him through his days as an abused foster kid. I dare say he's in complete puppy love with you."
|
"Huh?" Mihael blinked before there was honk and made everyone jump and turn to see Lawliet in the diver's seat of a limo.
|
"Lawli, sweetheart... wheels does not mean a limo- and why are you driving!?" Missy groaned as she approached.
|
"Get him outta the driver's seat, he doesn't even have a permit!" Mihael ran after his sister.
|
Giving an annoyed groan, Light trailed after the group and wondered again what the hell he was doing.
--Scene Change-- Near glanced up as Zero slipped back into the room and handed him the cell phone. "Its for you." Looking a bit confused, Near put the phone to his ear. "Hello?" There was a pause, before a voice on the other end said, "Hello, Near." The white-haired boy jumped in surprise, his eyes wide. |
"Who is it?" Mail asked- standing up after having been sitting on the bed this whole time.
|
Near slowly pulled the phone away and hit the speaker.
"Hello Mail," came Nate's voice - although a bit more tired and aged. |
"...Nate!" Mail moved over to stand by Near. "Nate, are you okay? Where are you?"
|
"In Winchester," Nate informed. "Not far from Wammy's. I was hoping you two would swing by there sometime soon... but I can't talk on the phone. I need to see you in person."
"I can get them out," Zero informed from his place by the door. "But I'll need a distraction." "You aren't enough of one by yourself, Z?" Nate laughed weakly and Near frowned - obviously pained with how well Nate knew people he used to know. "Alright, I'll see what I can cook up. Have them meet me at 2B-47 in two hours." "Got it," Zero informed, before Nate hung up. |
"...How long has he been here?" Mail asked Zero.
