I've been in an avi slump :(

Stabbsworth 01-29-2019 05:05 PM

oh, mood.

Linkle 01-29-2019 05:14 PM

Avis are hard ;w;

MonBon 01-29-2019 08:24 PM

Like I want to like this avi, but idk, it's just off

Den 01-29-2019 09:38 PM

*working on stuff*

KittyBeary 01-29-2019 10:55 PM

Damies your kitten is so cute! :3

I've been working on an Aerith cosplay(IRL) so that's what I've been sewing lately. xD

Linkle 01-30-2019 03:15 AM

I should be in the middle character designing and working on a basic outline for something...

but instead i'm crying in the club club rn over how good KH3 is so far.

Kaderin Triste 01-30-2019 07:58 PM

Ugh. I hate the tediousness of sewing up stuffed animal parts, but I also feel really accomplished when I start assembling one.

I mean...just look at this precious (currently) legless baby! I made that!
XD

Legs to be added after work. And hopefully will also get the spine and wings made and on tonight also. (Ahaha, I just realized how crooked/cross-eyed the one eye looks. I'll have to try to twist it more evenly as well.)

MonBon 01-30-2019 08:58 PM

Who's a cute derpy?
That's a cute derpy!

Derpy McBlueEyes 01-30-2019 09:01 PM

"Hey! Das not me!"

Linkle 01-31-2019 06:55 AM

Is derpy has sibling?

KittyBeary 01-31-2019 07:50 AM

Aww the new dragon is so cute!! x3

I've also been in somewhat of an avi slump.

Linkle 01-31-2019 11:49 AM

It's a very inspiring dragon <3

Death by Mirrors 01-31-2019 02:20 PM

What's the new one's name? Do they also like donuts?

Kaderin Triste 01-31-2019 02:38 PM

Zil: No. Probably not. Although I would love an army of dragons, I also need money and these guys sell really well.

Death: While their new parent(s) will be the ones to give them their real name, I am inclined to call them Dylan. And while tastes may change from dragon to dragon, I'm pretty sure they all love donuts.
XD

Stabbsworth 01-31-2019 04:10 PM

it might be you, derpy. it depends on whether you shed your scales like a lizard.

Derpy McBlueEyes 01-31-2019 08:12 PM

"NUH-UH! My eyes are blue, not gold!"

KittyBeary 01-31-2019 10:35 PM

One of my good friends is named Dylan. xD

Derpy McBlueEyes 01-31-2019 10:43 PM

Derpy holds the blue dragon out to Kitty.
"...yes he is..."

Damies 02-01-2019 11:03 AM

Well I paid off our car tires... probably just in time to get new ones... Also paid some bills and now I have 200 until the 15th when I get paid again.

Which means I don't get to buy crafty stuff for at least the first half of the month. I really want more lumber. ; 0; I was really hoping I would be able to work on the new chicken coop this month. But it looks financially impossible as I will be in much the same position on the 15th as I am now. That is most of my paycheck will be gone to bills and I will need the rest for food and gas money.

In other news my kitten is super smelly, she's got awful kitten toots. But she is so damned cute and snuggly. Also I need to stuff her in my room for a night so I can do a painting in the living room. I haven't done any painting since the 21st and I am craving some artistic shenanigans.

Linkle 02-01-2019 11:38 AM

Kaderin Triste: I'd buy a dragon from you. ;w;

Damies that beginning of the month feel man. it's when rent happens and we usually wind up with only abt 200...

Though our roommate started a job that pays p nice so we might just have it a bit better...

Kaderin Triste 02-01-2019 06:17 PM

If that's just a general comment, cool, thanks (they really are super cute and huggable!). If you're serious and actually interested in buying one, feel free to pm me. I don't have an online shop at the moment, but can accept payments via paypal.

Hopefully that doesn't come across as bitchy. XD

(And Derpy, stop trying to give away your brother! We need to sell him so we can buy coffee and donuts! Lol)

Kaderin Triste 02-01-2019 06:53 PM

Started on a step it up boomerang shawl. Personally, I think it should be called a dragon boomerang shawl though, because the edge looks like a dragon spine to me. But maybe that's just because of all the actual dragon spines I've made. Lol

Linkle 02-01-2019 08:47 PM

Kaderin Triste I'll PM you. I collect dragons and i'm def curious abt prices and would love one like Derpster.

Kaderin Triste 02-01-2019 09:28 PM

I kind of collect dragons too. And cats.
XD
The 2 best animals.

Linkle 02-01-2019 10:18 PM

i love Dergs and Furts (Ferrets)

Stabbsworth 02-03-2019 11:07 AM

ferrets are super cute.

also, whisky's been getting bite-y for some reason? he's never been like this before, and i'm pretty sure it's probably because some parts of his body are sensitive. thing is, if he was doing it because of sensory overload, or whatever the term is, i'm pretty sure it would hurt?

like, his bites don't hurt too much, they don't break the skin either. might just be a habit he's picked up.

Kaderin Triste 02-03-2019 01:21 PM

Ugh, part of me wants to get up amd iron my fabric and make my space kitties skirt today, but part of me also wants to spend another 3-5 hours sleeping and do nothing. XP

Linkle 02-03-2019 03:11 PM

I woke up at like 5, and then went back to bed. It's a Lazy sunday.

I'm gonna make some bead lizards on my big check because i wanna try something new.

Kaderin Triste 02-03-2019 04:49 PM

Ugh. Was just starting to mark my fabric when I realized it's not wide enough for me to do the "easy circle skirt" method. Because I'm not stick thin and am modest and don't want a skirt so short you can practically see my crotch. XP
Back to the drawing board on that...

Linkle 02-03-2019 05:07 PM

easy circle skirt method? I wanna know this!

Kaderin Triste 02-03-2019 05:17 PM

I followed this video (for Derpy's skirt at least).
https://youtu.be/oqNU0-ORkbA
There's a little math involved, but she walks you through it pretty well.

Have given up on my skirt for now and am working on a shawl. Even though I have other projects that should take precedence...
>.>

Linkle 02-03-2019 06:49 PM

I might try to make a skirt using that. i'm not the skinniest girl but i bet i cna manage.

Maybe i'll get a headstart on learning to make cosplay.

Kaderin Triste 02-03-2019 09:08 PM

Just make sure you take into account fabric width. If you want your skirt longer than about 18 inches (may vary depending on your actual waist size), you'll need to buy a fabric wider than 43". (60" or 108" depending on exactly how long you want it.)

Damies 02-03-2019 09:59 PM

I need to get my photo storage more organized. Like my random higgldypiggldy folders of images and stuff in weird places.

Aaand as I was typing this my kitten came over an sat on my hand... Shiva is a boy kitten not a girl. lolol (we went by what the person at the feed store said and apparently they were wrong)

KittyBeary 02-03-2019 11:22 PM

Oof, I need to practice making circle skirts myself. :x

Linkle 02-03-2019 11:32 PM

I"ll keep that in mind, I wanna make a poodle skirt maybe!

Death by Mirrors 02-04-2019 04:25 AM

If only width is the problem and you got enough length, you can probably get away with drawing your circle in two pieces instead. (see here, scroll down to 6b)
It's a bit more sewing, but those are straight lines. So maybe annoying yet still doable.

Kaderin Triste 02-04-2019 02:06 PM

Or I can do a rectangle skirt as well. In the video I have downloaded, it shows to do a waistband and a zipper and eyehook on it, but I see no reason why just fully sewing the side seam and then doing the elastic waistband wouldn't work.
Tbh I probably have enough cat fabric for at least 2 skirts. XD
But I am lazy and easily discouraged. And need to clear more floor space now for measuring fabric, so...not working on the skirt for a while now.

MonBon 02-04-2019 06:41 PM

I really wanna learn how to make clothes, but I psyche myself out so I haven't yet
