My foot gave out on me and went under me
it made weird crunching/ripping noises

THIS THIS THIS! What the hell?! Just because it happens to happen to your mom and it's okay - does not mean the same for you. At least but an Ace bandage on it or SOMETHING!

@asami: Apply ice on it. Make sure that if it stops hurting, pop it back in the right place.
It happened to me twice.

I still say you need to get that checked out - and no dancing until it's healed.

The weird noises could've been the tiny phalanges that popped. And it could be that some tissues inside got crushed so that's why it hurts like hell. Doctors can really help.
