I hate that tumblr has become so hated/shunned. I want a way to post old projects in a queue, and have them accessible via tag searches, but I don't know where else I can set up a queue of some 40+ posts at a time. I also want to post current stuff as I make it between queued stuff. -flailing sadly-

I agree that how they've handled pretty much every thing has been awful but it's was a damn good platform and now everyone hates it. And I just wanna share pictures. :C

I would try posting on imgur or reddit (or both) but I don't like the "community" on imgur for the most part and reddit is hard to find a place to dump craft photos that don't have a billion rules. And I really don't wanna make my own subreddit cuz that seems like over kill. Twitter is not ideal because I can't queue stuff and end up spamming anyone who follow's feed at 2am when I upload a ton of crap at once. GODDAMNIT TUMBLR WHY DID YOU SELL YOUR SOUL TO THE DEVIL?!

I personally stopped using it bc it was getting a little toxic for me, but I thought it was an okay site still. Other than the whole, pornography thing or whatever

I still like tumblr as a site in general, its the staff behind the scenes making rules and changes that are making most people angry at the site right now and a lot of people are boycotting the site and migrating away.

Like I really like the set up and the format of tumblr, it does exactly what I want a photo-blog to do, and looks clean and pretty doing it.

But now the staff made some really crap decisions and people are jumping ship.

One thing that article fails to mention is that so many posts are being marked as explicit when they're... not.

For example, this thing that I drew a while back was marked as explicit. ...It's... not, really.



And many blogs have been outright deleted, even if they're not NSFW, and trying to get staff to restore those blogs has had very mixed success. It's been very draining for people who've been fucked over.

I only really use tumblr for rp stuff nowadays, my personal isn't active at all.

Still, I don't think there's any sites that are even remotely like Tumblr. There's pillowfort, but I'm not particularly sure about that due to personal reasons. Writscrib failed to get enough funds to get the site properly going.

Plus there's the whole copyright stuff w/ the EU.

I check Tumblr once every 4 weeks or so? Sometimes more if I feel like it.

Oh, believe me, you'd absolutely hate it nowadays.

Nowadays, instead of marginally decently visible icons, we have 40x40 px icons with text in the middle of them!

A few people do, I think? Honestly, I don't bother with formatting because it takes so much time to make it look good, so I might as well just go with small text and call it good.

@ESPY -- People have high-constrast 40x40 px icons. With text in the middle. I'm not sure how that trend started, but whatever started it is going to meet a fiery demise due to shenanigans. I can't tell what emotion someone's character is showing if it's just one of their chin and if it's too high contrast.
