ULTI IS JELLY 0n0

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 07:49 PM

my musical talent is limited to finger tapping X''D

Coda 11-01-2012 07:56 PM

I miss my ocarina. I lost it a long time ago. It was one of the small round pendant-style ocarinas. I wore it regularly until the string wore out, and now I don't know where it is.

Nexess 11-01-2012 07:58 PM

I can play the violin.... That's it really >w<

Coda 11-01-2012 08:00 PM

If you can play the violin you can probably pick up most other string instruments and play a melody. It might take some practice to get used to different tunings but it wouldn't take you long.

Ultima 11-01-2012 08:04 PM

Ulti can sing and play Guitar Hero on Expert. That's about it >A>;

I did learn the piano, the violin, and the flute at various points. But I never got really good at any of them.

Espy 11-01-2012 08:07 PM

Espy can sing. Not well, mind you.

Alpha 11-01-2012 08:08 PM

The most I ever did was learn the Recorder....was never musically inclined. Might try and learn the guitar at one point....

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 08:08 PM

i cant even do that ulti XD you must teach me the wisdom of your ways

Coda 11-01-2012 08:09 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about singing. That's something I AM good enough to go pro on if I really wanted to try, but unfortunately I don't have the voice for most of the popular styles of music -- far too classical.

Edit: If we're talking rhythm games, I can do Guitar Hero on Expert too, as well as Dance Dance Revolution on Double Heavy. Sadly I'm not good enough to be COMPETITIVE at either, but I'm good enough to pass all but the hardest songs.

Ultima 11-01-2012 08:09 PM

Ulti wanted to join a select choir at school, but it was all girls, all guys, or religious music.

(/゚Д゚)/︵ ┻━┻

Alpha 11-01-2012 08:11 PM

HOLY....Coda has visible hair again!

Arikana 11-01-2012 08:43 PM

It's kind of sad how classical singing isn't as popular. :( It's so pretty, and reminds me of the times I went on opera trips back in grade 7 and 8. <3
I wish I could go to more operas again, but they cost A LOT and the teacher that organized them back then got really good discounts for those of us that wanted to go. >w< And sometimes those discounts included set design visits prior to the show. :D

Ashy 11-01-2012 08:45 PM

im intimidated by coda's change of avi, and also how much personal info he gave out today ><

Alpha 11-01-2012 08:49 PM

I was definitely surprised by how much he gave out....

Arikana 11-01-2012 09:18 PM

Yeah, same. I totally didn't expect it either.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-02-2012 01:49 AM

Heh. I started a bunch of things but through various reasons, usually health, never finished them, or got far enough along to be good. I used to tap dance, then tried Irish. Health killed both. Was in choir, health killed that too when I had no stamina and was short of breath all the time. Wanted to get into sports...yeah. No help there.

I did learn the flute. It's evil, but it's also like one of those bicycle things. The first time it took me some two hours to make a recognizable sound out of the thing and play a small tune. Had to quit that too but recently picked it up again but haven't been practicing >.< Bad! But compared to last time it only took about 2 minutes to get the sound going again, and much better than the first time. Tried guitar but wasn't as fond of it as the flute so never really played it much. My musician friend is fond of it though, and nabs it to play whenever he's over.

I still have my tap shoes. One of these days...

Ari: I like being out west! We have BC rolls here! (they vary in what's in them, but it's always some manner of smoked salmon) Those common outside of the province? I've never really had sushi anywhere else besides the Hethrow airport, and their Miso gave me a splitting headache.

I can play the guitar pretty well, my hand are a tad small for a standard guitar though, it was recommended that I get a cosstume built one. >w> i am not about to spend 2+ grand on something I don't play often.

I am kinda scared of your DDR skillz Coda....

Ashy 11-02-2012 08:47 AM

just pick up a 3/4 yamaha acoustic, theyre not that expensive >.>

i have really small hands andi play guitar quite well, the tendons stretch with enough practice :P

Alpha 11-02-2012 10:38 AM

Nexy: I am scared of them as well....

Ashy: You play guitar then?

But you're soooo far away from the east! >w> Your closest Canadian would probably be Pinkie in Saskatchewan. :3

Sadly I don't eat as much restaurant sushi. >w> Most sushi I eat is homemade, so it's none of the fancy stuff. >w> But that's also a good thing cause it's SO much cheaper than going out to eat sushi. >w>

Alpha 11-02-2012 10:41 AM

Ari: Ah, another sushi fan? Mind if I ask what your preference is when it comes to the meat? Or do you prefer the veggie ones?

Arikana 11-02-2012 10:57 AM

I can eat everything. :D
Though I'm very picky with the way eggplant and olives are prepared. >w> Other than that, I'm open to trying new things. :3

Alpha 11-02-2012 11:07 AM

Nice. Plenty of variety in sushi, that's for sure then.

Coda is a real live human being?! :O

Alpha 11-02-2012 11:10 AM

It would seem so.....scary revelation.......perhaps he is more of a cyborg though?

Lucid: 11-02-2012 11:27 AM

I thought he was a computer program and lived in the cloud.

Alpha 11-02-2012 11:28 AM

Hmmm....then that would mean....oh my gosh! The robot revolution is near! They have achieved sentience and are plotting our demise! RUN!

Lucid: 11-02-2012 11:34 AM

I think Coda is a friendly robot, much like Casper was a friendly ghost.

Demonskid 11-02-2012 11:34 AM

*hides in Alpha's Pocket* dk be safe as long as alpha stays safe ouo

Alpha 11-02-2012 11:36 AM

Well, if it came down to a robot revolution....I'd head for the woods with what little tech I needed to survive.

*pets DK* Don't worry, my pocket is plenty safe.

Lucid: That would be ideal....but how can we be sure?

Demonskid 11-02-2012 11:40 AM

take no technology OnO

Lucid: 11-02-2012 11:40 AM

Hmmm. There must be some way to test him...but I don't know how, apart from reading his program.

Alpha 11-02-2012 11:42 AM

Well.....could Semi not do that? That is, assuming we could catch Coda un-awares and read his code.....maybe a moral scenario instead?

DK: But....there is simple technology that can be used......

Demonskid 11-02-2012 12:22 PM

Trust no tech in times like these oxo could call for help and we be surrounded

Coda 11-02-2012 01:24 PM

I haven't posted anything in the last day or two that I hadn't posted somewhere else on the site. :P So this being the "get to know the staff" thread, well, now it's all in one place so you can get to know me.

As for the avatar... eh, I decided it was time to simplify. XD I realized I'd strayed from my original theme of "digital corruption" so I decluttered it to preserve the new theme and keep some of the nifty layering tricks.

Alpha 11-02-2012 01:35 PM

*nods head* Makes sense. Still.....having it all posted in one place makes it easier to find.

DK: But...but....but.....this is REALLY simple tech. Like, weapons and such.

Lucid: 11-02-2012 01:37 PM

I still don't understand how the long cape fits the theme. The shoulder cape is perfect but the long one just reminds me of water.

Coda 11-02-2012 01:41 PM

It fits the theme! I just don't know what to LABEL the theme. XD It just looks good. (And layering these two capes is one of the tricks I liked and wanted to keep. Layering on the design on the shoulder was another.)
