Yeah it makes no sense food is expensive. And it keeps on rising. I bet one day - when the 'babyboomers' of world war 2 are gone, there's so much left over houses, they'll become tons cheaper - and you'll end up with more expensive food every month than the rent you'll pay for a huge house O_o;

I've just been trying to save money for a vacation... If I'm not careful I'll spend $200 in food in a single weekend.

Well you have to be at least 18 to work on 3rd shift, which I do, but during days you can be 16. Pay depends on your state, how well the particular store does, and other things.
I currently make minimal wage for my state, plus the 50 cent for working nights.

wwwoooowww!! we spend like $200, that's for two people, a week and it lasts two weeks with what we buy. Well the meat doesn't but we only spend about $30-40 in meats. We go to a Spanish butcher grocery thing. It's so much cheaper for meats! :D

Two people in a home here. If we'd count for a while family (aka my parents, me and sister) we'll pass the 600 euro in a week. Especially vegetables are expensive. I'm lucky my parents can buy these for tons, or else I'd not even eat them - but we all need them badly.

We have 5 in my house, but the fridge and cabinets are constantly full with only junk food. I've been trying to pay for my own food, to make it easier on my parents.

oh wow. i have 4 people in my household but we all usually buy food in pairs. it's me and my girlfriend and her cousin and his wife.

I'd get nuts if we had only junkfood xD For some reason I just don't like it if I eat too much of it. Like, tweice a week french fries... ugh!

At one point when I was about 11, I swear I had mcdonalds almost everyday for about 5 months. It was the cheapest thing and easiest to get.

i can't eat fast food that often anymore. the greasiness makes me so sick. bleck. i do love chocolate though. :D my idea of junk food is like a candy bar or granola bars with chocolate in them and some other random things.. :D

I would never be able to do that. I'd probably get sick because my body would ask for the other vitamins and things my body needs.

What really makes me sad is how it's proven that certain fat you need is taken out of products ... aka now the 'Light' products. This fat you need reduces depressions. When I read that, I realized there's another reason not to buy light products. It's just poison D<

Oh that sucks. I may not have food with MSG in it, tho. And it's in some spicy stuff (especially those you can buy in the supermarket)

The only spicy food I like is the generals chicken from Chongs.... o3o I used to hate it until I ended up stealing half of it from my dads plate.... XD
