I'm getting vol2 from amazon cause.. my book store is mean OnO

gotta see if theres a vol 3.. need to make my wishlist binder stuff

Espy 11-06-2012 08:07 PM

Er...hm. Not exactly. Here's the info page about spoon assassins.

...I'm getting quite paranoid for this, to be honest, and it's only two days in...Didn't help that there are people hunting people in their own dorm rooms (which are not considered safe zones)...

Tiva 11-06-2012 09:31 PM

It sounds fun....

Arikana 11-06-2012 09:32 PM

@Dk: Hm, now I want to see if my library/bookstore has it. >w> Though I doubt I'd buy it anytime soon. XP

@Espy: That sounds like a lot of fun. >w< The part of the info page I loved most was how they author of the page felt the need to link to pictures of a spoon and knife and ask people to not use knives. XD I take it the nerf assassin is similar but with nerf weapons instead of spoons? :o

Alpha 11-06-2012 09:35 PM

Hmmm.....sounds interesting. Kinda wish my campus would do something like that.....

I wishes you luck ouo *waits for xmas*

Arikana 11-06-2012 09:57 PM

Mm, thanks Dk. :D
Though I'll probably end up going to the library or read in the bookstore, but don't buy it. >w> I don't really see it worth it to pay for a manga only to finish it in five to ten minutes. >w>

Espy 11-06-2012 11:25 PM

The two assassins games are sort of similar, but I'm quickly becoming very, very paranoid for Spoon Assassins...mostly because once you die, you're basically out of the game. The GMs try to cushion it by suggesting that dead people go help out the other people still in the game, but...still.

I like the rules for Nerf Assassins much better, because KGB takes Rule 0 (Don't Be A Jackass) very seriously. In Nerf Assassins, you're not allowed to shoot/hit someone who's carrying food, eating, waiting in line to get food, in a study lounge, in their own dorm rooms, or in the library. Spoon Assassins has basically no safe zones minus the bathrooms. People also aren't safe in their own rooms, and I'm at a disadvantage: Assassins have already started asking RAs (the few who are playing and moderating) to let them into our dorm , and they've just been going down the hallway hunting people. From the hallway, they usually would be able to get into my room; long story there. It's not against the rules in Spoon Assassins to even tag someone while they're asleep.

Alpha 11-06-2012 11:27 PM

Wow.....that is just a bit unfair on the whole. It's certainly realistic, but not a true game at heart.

Espy 11-06-2012 11:27 PM

Yeah...-sigh- I want to ask a certain mod to change some game rules, but he hasn't been replying to my messages...

Alpha 11-06-2012 11:50 PM

Dang.....well, best of luck with that. I'm tempted to look into starting on my campus...at least asking interest and such.

Arikana 11-06-2012 11:55 PM

@Espy: ...........Damn, that's just a bit unfair altogether. >w> Especially how dorm rooms aren't even safe! D: What if people need to do some serious studying? Besides, it's not like someone's going to hide out in their dorm room for consecutive days. Such messed up rules.

I think I'd rather play the nerf assassins MUCH more. Your KGB group seems pretty damn awesome, but still making sure things are 100% fair for all. >w<

@Alpha: Just make sure the rules for yours won't be as ridiculous as the one for Espy's school's spoon assassins one. >w>

Alpha 11-07-2012 12:02 AM

Oh, for sure. I'm more for fairness.....especially having played HvZ. It's a lot more fair than that....not one sided, but fair for sure.

Arikana 11-07-2012 12:29 AM

That's good to hear, Alpha. >w< What's HvZ? :o

Alpha 11-07-2012 12:55 AM

Humans vs Zombies (essentially a giant game of tag)

Tohopekaliga 11-07-2012 01:06 AM

To answer the gaming question, I have played a fair bit of Crusader Kings II of late. It's a "grand strategy" game from Paradox with a focus on dynasties instead of nations (like their other strategy games). Quite interesting.

OOH. Yeah, I think I can figure out the concept of that one. I think. >w>

Alpha 11-07-2012 01:10 AM

Here's the rules for HvZ

That gives the general description.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-07-2012 01:15 AM

I've done no gaming recently beyond facebook. Alas, been distracted by school, I haven't yet put Skyrim and Morrowind back on my computer, and I haven't thought about my consoles in a while. I'm scared of picking up Okami again because I still have this manual to finish.

Arikana 11-07-2012 12:14 PM

owo

How many mangas do you follow, Dk? :o

Demonskid 11-07-2012 12:45 PM

Right now I'm working on Host Club, Sailor Moon, Yami no Matsuei, and Ayashi no Ceres. ouo

After i finish those I'ma start on xxxHolic and Uraboku

Arikana 11-07-2012 01:20 PM

Damn, that's a lot. My list is currently at zero. XD

Demonskid 11-07-2012 01:36 PM

I'm making a Binder Wishlist/Checkoff List which will also act as a Inventory List :3

Tohopekaliga 11-07-2012 03:32 PM

You should see my webcomic reading list. It's crazy-long.

Coda 11-07-2012 03:41 PM

My webcomic list used to be crazy long too, but I've narrowed it down.

Tohopekaliga 11-07-2012 03:56 PM

If I were to suggest two web comics to get into, I would suggest Girl Genius and Gunnerkrigg Court. But my list as yoinked off of my RSS feed (plus a few that update without RSS) is this:

PvPonline
The Trenches
Penny Arcade
Trying Human
Girl Genius
Two Guys and Guy
Gunnerkrigg court
xkcd.com
MercWorks
The Adventures of Dr. McNinja
El Goonish Shive
TwoKinds
Kiwi Blitz
Errant Story
Three Panel Soul
Awkward Zombie
Dresden Codak
SugarStars
Crankrats
Derelict
Romantically Apocalyptic
iMew
Starslip
Maggot Boy
CharCole
Slightly Damned

Lucid: 11-07-2012 03:57 PM

My webcomic reading list consists of xkcd and Taiki. I would probably read more if I sought them out, but I'd rather not have a long list to follow.

Demonskid 11-07-2012 04:00 PM

I prefer my manga ouo

my webcomic reading list is

MoonSticks
Cyanide & Happiness
and Taiki

xD

Coda 11-07-2012 04:01 PM

Girl Genius, Penny Arcade, and xkcd are on my list too, as well as Order of the Stick, Erfworld, and Homestuck, plus MS Paint Masterpieces (a Mega Man comic that's surprisingly still running). (I'm surprised OOTS isn't on your list, Toho.) El Goonish Shive USED to be on my list but I lost track of it when I graduated from college and I've never had the time to archive binge to catch up on so many years of missed comic. (Sluggy Freelance likewise.)

Tohopekaliga 11-07-2012 04:16 PM

Yeah, I dunno. I just never went through Order of the Stick. No particular reason.

And MS Paint Adventures makes my brain bleed, so I never gave Homestuck the time of day. I glean enough of it out of weird fanart on dA & cosplayers, I think. XD

Tiva 11-07-2012 04:24 PM

I read ctrl alt del and girls with sling shots and a lot of ones that my friends introduced me to like vampire cheerleaders which ends up to be a good laugh for me..

Arikana 11-07-2012 05:04 PM

I don't read many webcomics either. >w> I prefer books, both fiction and non-fiction. <3

Demonskid 11-07-2012 06:00 PM

I need to start collecting the "Cat Who" series.. ono I got one of the books need the rest >x<

Nexess 11-07-2012 06:56 PM

I read one webcomic now, I used to have a massive list that I would read but it got very time consuming... And I got lazy. So I just read Wasted Talent now.

Ultima 11-07-2012 07:29 PM

Webcomics? Ulti read(s) a few.

Currently reading:
Dream*scar
Erstwhile
Fungus Grotto
Khaos
Red String
Strays
Taiki

Finished:
Dreamless
Inverloch
Phoenix Requiem
Yu+Me

Doesn't update anymore (but still like):
Guests in Purgatory
Myralice
Undertow

Don't read anymore (lost interest, may read again):
Devil's Cake
Fey Winds
Flipside
I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space
Misfile
Sugar Stars
The Way to Your Heart
(And a crapload more, mostly lgbt)

Hopefully I got most of them...

Ashy 11-07-2012 07:36 PM

Ashy's Webcomic list

Taiki
Khaos
Looking for Group
Least I Could Do
Flipside
Mystic Revolution
Corpse Run
Awkward Zombie
Endless Origami
J-Hall
Doctor Cat
Paranatural
Strays

It used to be much bigger but a lot ended >.>

Espy 11-07-2012 07:55 PM

I can't remember the names of the ones I read.

List includes:

Strays
TJ and Amal
The Pirate Balthasar (completed)
Paradox
Kaito Shuno
Behind the Obsidian Mirror
Grace
The Blackblood Alliance

Coda 11-07-2012 09:09 PM

I can't forget to name Bob and George. I wouldn't be "Coda" if it weren't for Bob and George. Even though it ended years ago, I'm still tracking the fansite (there's one comic there still updating, MS Paint Masterpieces, as I said, and the forums aren't COMPLETELY dead) .

Quiet Man Cometh 11-07-2012 11:30 PM

I don't read webcomics. I have a surplus of books instead. I recently made a list of books that's I own but haven't read and stopped at 45. Was starting to scare myself.
