Well is was sunny for a while and I went into a working craze.

I built a chicken coop in about 6 days, figured out how to finish the backs of my paintings so they look nice, have had several new pendant trays arrive in the mail, and have been sealing a bunch of paintings I did over winter.

But now it is rainy and dreary and I wanna sleep all the time.

Yay for making stuff and figuring out how to make stuff look better!
And boo for weather making your all tired and all that...

I kind of wish it would rain here, but all we've gotten since the snow melted off is wind.

Also, someone please yell at me tomorrow evening to take a pic of my cat skirt. Because I don't have a good way of doing so in my apartment (without having to tear apart my mannequin) but I want to share it too.
But there is a mirror in the women's bathroom at work that works pretty well for full-body mirror selfies, soo...I can use it to get a cute pic of the space kitties skirt!

Speaking of figuring out how to make stuff look better, I found a simple no-sew minnie ear tutorial so I made a pair using the tutorial and I'm proud of myself. ;u;

Have decided to work on doing book binding again to make another little sketch/drawing book since I keep misplacing my first one.
Initially was going to give this second one to a friend as a present when I got it done, but...well, I guess that kind of isn't an option anymore, so...I get to keep it.

These ones are pretty simplistic. I just took the unused pages of an old sketchbook and folded them in half to use for the pages in my new books. You just put those together (one inside the other) in groups of usually 4-6 to make "signatures", which you then punch holes in along the fold of the papers. Usually people do 3 or 4 holes each at the top and bottom, but I tend to do evenly spaced ones along the entire spine and....well, there are actually a lot of tutorials that make a lot more sense than I'm making.

Basically my current one is just gonna habe the sketchbook pages in a boring brown chipboard cover with purple thread along the binding. I'm doing the coptic stitch, which seems to be the most common and allows the book to open fully flat, but there are other stitches as well.

That sounds kinda fun! I have a lot of old sketchbooks laying around that I could probably do this with...

Really the hardest part is just pulling the thread tight without pulling too hard and tearing the paper (or breaking the thrwad depending on what thread you use) and keeping the thread from tangling.

*wanders around, getting stuff together for FCBD (yes, it's two weeks away, but this way, she won't be running around like a chicken with its head cut off), and getting a bag together for tomorrow (Artist's Jam, because I refuse to spend three whole days around my parents, and because it's been awhile since I went to that event)*

Have been super uninspired lately. Should be working on finishing projects and making an art, but instead have been accomplishing nothing.

Just realized I haven't shared my paint poured shelves off in here yet (for the few who aren't on Insta), but I don't have anything new other than those yet. But I have some ideas of projects I want to make eventually. Mostly just trying out new shawl patterns...
