Warm Bodies

I've just seen an ad for Warm Bodies. From what I can gather, a male zombie falls for a female who is still living... And he learns to be human again.

It actually sounds kind of interesting. Anyone else think this could be a good movie to go see?

Arikana 12-04-2012 11:01 PM

It does sound interesting. But we'll see. I'm curious to see who the actors are and if they're any good or not. >.>

I don't like watching crappy actors. >.>

Alpha 12-04-2012 11:52 PM

I'm interested in it to say the least. It should be quite different for sure.

Echo-chan713 12-05-2012 10:54 AM

I would find it cute though. It's like those guy-falls-for-girl-but-she's-out-of-his-league things then learns how to be someone that he not thing.....right?

Lioshika 12-06-2012 02:32 AM

It almost looked like a spoof, but a cute spoof!

I am putting it on my list to watch.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 12:58 PM

I thought it looked like a spoof, too. But really do want to see it. I like Hoult (main dude in it, too). So it should be REALLY entertaining.

Xurxo 12-12-2012 03:35 PM

Okay, I know this is double posting, but I just wanted to post in this thread again because I went to a screening of this movie last night -- and I REALLY ENJOYED it. It was cute, fun, funny, and enjoyable all together. It was acted really well, and it wasn't all about the ~love story~ for me and more about human connections.

Tiva 12-12-2012 05:12 PM

*wants to see this movie on V day* it comes out right around then...

Gallagher 12-12-2012 07:29 PM

The ad I saw got me so interested, I went same day to get the book, and already finished reading it.

Excited doesn't even cover how I feel about the movie. I adore this take on zombies.

Siphonei 12-12-2012 09:01 PM

It's a great and interesting take on Zombies, I gotta say.

Epic Rave Monster 12-25-2012 02:30 AM

...That sounds like a terrible movie. It's just as bad as vampires falling for humans. THEY ARE EVIL. LEAVE THEM BE! They ruin the whole idea.. -Sigh.-

Gallagher 12-25-2012 03:10 AM

... Evil? Zombies?

No no no no, not at all. They're not evil. Sure, by our standards what they do is bad, but so are many of the things that animals do. It's survival, not evil. Their killing us is no more evil than us killing them. People only view it as evil because they're in survival situations.

The story of it makes that point even more clear, which is especially good because a lot of the casual zombie fans will only be familiar with the idea of eradicating all zombies for human survival. They need the view really shoved in their face to understand the theme can be so much more than mindless gore.

Arikana 12-25-2012 12:24 PM

How did all the zombie prejudice even begin? :|
I want to punt whoever started it all... >.>

Asami 12-26-2012 09:16 PM

Oh my god. I read the sample of the book on my kindle and....I: I really want this book!!!

Arikana 12-27-2012 07:52 PM

Is the book really that good? :o
I may need to get it soon as well.... >.>

Lauv Keiko 01-02-2013 12:29 PM

It's actually a story of a zombie that ate the brain of the leading lady's boyfriend and apparently the love was so strong that the zombie kind of turned into what seemed to be "human" and fell in love all over again with the girl.
I say it's twilight. Only for zombies.

I may watch that (or even read the book), for two reasons, a) for the lulz and b) to criticize it properly.

sorry guys .A. just putting my opinion.

Kit Katy 01-28-2013 05:01 PM

No reason to appologise for stating how you feel about the subject. :)

The movie peeked my interest to the point of wanting to see it on V-day with my BF. Not because of the lovey-dovey romance stuff, but because of the comedy. I love romantic comedies way more than dramatic crud that you usually see around this time of year.

Greed 02-01-2013 07:44 AM

Looks interesting.

I think i'm going to watch it.

Arikana 02-02-2013 12:35 AM

And it's out today! :D
I need to go watch this soon. Then read the book.

Illusion 02-02-2013 09:34 PM

Just got back from seeing it, it's VERY GOOD. I want to see it again!

Tiva 02-03-2013 01:16 AM

Yay! I can't wait we are either seeing it V day weekend or next weekend.

Belial 02-03-2013 01:21 PM

Am I the only one who thinks this movie is funny?
The guy who plays the zombie, stares hard at just about everything.

I used to know a guy like that in high school, I always wondered what his problem was or if he just needed glasses.

Lauv Keiko 02-04-2013 12:39 PM

I'd like to watch it, just because I've received so many feedback that it's a funny movie.
Might just watch it for the lulz. xD

Arikana 02-04-2013 08:39 PM

I feel like these movies you gotta watch with a grain of salt. I heard, from Gall, that the book is good, so I'm already thinking the movie won't be as good as the book since, most of the time, movies are never as good as their book counterparts. >_>

NikkoGallarado 02-13-2013 01:32 PM

I saw it a while back it was rather a good movie and I enjoyed it. I would watch it again for the laughs and story in away.

Maro 02-13-2013 02:00 PM

I want to go see it but it seems I may have to wait for it to come out on dvd/blueray..bluray..whatever it is to watch it unless i can convince my bf to take me to it tomorrow. TT^TT

Alpha 02-13-2013 04:00 PM

Definitely a good movie and worth the watch. Kind of a "Romeo and Juliet" without them dying......

Maro 02-13-2013 04:01 PM

Minus the fact he already died once.

Alpha 02-13-2013 04:11 PM

True, true.....it also helps that his name is "R"

Maro 02-13-2013 04:15 PM

I really want to see it even if I have to wait until it comes out on dvd.

Gallagher 02-13-2013 06:00 PM

So, I literally just found out that there was a prequel story released for the movie. If anyone has read that, oh my god don't ruin it, I want it so bad, why don't I have money fff.

And yes, it's supposed to allude to Romeo and Juliet. It's more than just R and Julie. M, Nora, and some other guy I think, all named for characters.

Lauv Keiko 02-13-2013 08:37 PM

dude, gall. Can you like, tell me what the titles are? I'll go check if I can download (pirate) any pdf files online. O_O

Gallagher 02-13-2013 09:28 PM

It's called The New Hunger, and it seriously just came out. There will be a sequel at some point, too. I am most def following this author and looking out for any other movie adaptations.

Arikana 02-14-2013 09:33 PM

I still need to watch the movie. >_> So many new movies to watch for me still. @_@

Mizeria 02-15-2013 11:46 AM

I finally saw this movie yesterday and i love it! --I've been avoiding this thread until I saw the movie. Did I read what Gall wrote right? Boooks? Where? -searches for them-

Lauv Keiko 02-16-2013 12:47 AM

I just watched the movie too.
I really want to know if this type of zombie apocalypse is due to some virus or some sort.

Knight 02-17-2013 08:37 AM

Still liked twilight better

IronMaiden 02-19-2013 11:34 PM

The movie doesn't explain how they became zombies in the first place...
v.v
I still wanna see it, though hearing that fact makes me sad.

yep, exactly my question. As what gallagher mentioned, there's a prequel to the book, so I'd like to read that first o3o

Tiva 02-20-2013 06:51 PM

In a way the movie does. but not the full reason
