Greetings guileful guests. Welcome to my mini-event contest.

Here you will be tested to your limits as track your target through every last nook and cranny of Trisphee, using all means necessary.

Can you handle the pressure of having your every step shadowed by a ruthless killer?

Or will you collapse under pressure and go crying home to your mommy?

Only the strongest survive as we seek to crown the Master Assassin.

Will you fulfill the role? Or fail miserably?

So in real life, the objective of a game of Assassins is to tag your assigned victim with a certain object to “kill” them. Eventually the end of the game would result in the last man standing, the winner of the game. However, Tris is a forum, so we shall be playing a modified version of Assassins to better suit a forum setting. ;)

Like with any assassins game, there will be an initial sign up period during the first three to five days, depending on how many people sign up. I will then start handing out assignments to all participants. However, this time around, sign ups will continue until the end of the event in case if there are last minute participants. ;)

So in this version, rather than tagging users with an object to “kill” them, you use words to do so. Meaning: You will be given a word (Your “weapon”) and a target (Your “assignment”) via PM. Then, you must find a way to steer your target to type said word in a POST. Not pm, profile message or anywhere else. Forum posts only.

Once you have succeeded in “killing” your target by getting them to post the word you were given, fill out the completion form and PM it to me. Make sure you PM the completion forms to me.

There will be no time limit, so take as long as you’d like to make your kill. However, if you wish to give up on your current target due to difficulty, then you forfeit your potential “kill point” and your target will receive an “evasion point”. To be fair, I will enforce a rule that Roleplayers’ Realm forum and Private Roleplay subforum are off limits from hunting your targets, so any posts there will not account for making kills since posts there are required to be in character for specific roleplays. However, please try to be on and make a few posts at least once ever couple days so as to be fair for the assassin hunting you.

Even after you have been killed, you will remain in the game so as to continue being able to cycle users around since Tris does not have a very large userbase at the moment. This may change if I ever hold this contest again in the future.

At event end, your total “kill points”, “evasion points” and “bonus points” (if any are given out) will be added up and a grand total determined. The user with the largest grand total of points will walk away with the grand prize. :)

Every contest has prizes and mine is no different, so here are the rewards you may be able to reap.

Master Assassin Grand Prize for earning the most points: Fifty (50) runes, five thousand (5 000) arum
Prize for making the most kills: Ten (10) runes, one thousand (1 000) aurum
Prize for most evasions: Twenty (20) runes, two thousand (2 000) aurum
For every kill made: Twenty-five (25) aurum
For every evasion made: Fifty (50) aurum
All participants: Twenty-five (25) Anka Tokens

If enough people participate, more prizes may be added. :D

This is where I will keep track of how many points each participant has! :)

Bonus points can be earned by succeeding to kill your opponent within the first twenty-four hours of receiving your assignment. One (1) bonus point is available per assignment.

When totalling points at the mini-event end, “kill points” will be worth one point and “evasion points” will be worth two points. The worth of bonus points will be decided at the event end based on a numerous amount of calculations.

What forum do I need to get my target to post my word in?
Only the Roleplayers’ Realm and Private Roleplay are closed off to kills. All other forums, including OOC subforum are part of the open playing field.

What happens if my target hasn’t gotten on or posted in a few days?
Let me know. I will deal with each scenario accordingly.

If I see my target chatting with someone else and they happen to use my word, can I submit that?
No. You must steer your target into posting it yourself.

My screenshot’s so big it will stretch the page. Can’t I just cut it off a bit?
No. Just keep it unedited. Only I will see them anyways and I’ll be fine with seeing large images.

Does my "killing word" have to be posted letter for letter by my target?
No; slight variations are fine, such as with plurality, past tense, adding a "-y" suffix at the end.
However, major variations are not allowed. If unsure, just ask me in a pm on whether something is a major variation or not.
