They Will Drown [[Morgan's Poetry]]
So you guys get the idea, I'm going to post here my random forays into the world of poetry, I certainly hope you enjoy. |
Beyond the Blacktop The sun's so vengeful now, Stuck here in this town, Like you and me. Pinned so quietly To this. Follow the lines decode the signs. Pinpoint our location South of twisted motivation and North of all we knew. Here's where we are, Where we've been, And where we're running to. |
I always love that poem... You know why. x] |
Wanderlust Upping and downing Upon the darkest sea The Bravest Sailor Is looking out for me I'm all mixed up And so messed down There the stars above Hold me to the ground And I don't want to leave 'Cause I know not where to go With blackened eyes I grieve and nothing left to show The ripples here distort The beauty of it all And here am I ignoring The handsome sailor's call |
Thank you White <3, I like it too. I finally named the second one after much thought |
Oooooo. Yes. That's a good title. <3 |
Hey now, I really enjoyed both of those pieces. Thank you for sharing them with us.
|
Thank ya m'am, =] and thank you very much for reading them, you have made my day! |
Your poems will definitely be read here. xD |
Inches From. "Seventy-fold times seven," says he whose heart is filled With raging violent passion For those of us strong-willed There is easy pain in breathing and sorrow on our lips we tempt the taunting blade with calloused fingertips A broken record lulls its quiet broken tune floating out the door of the silent Dying Room He is floating in a sea Of medical machine He draws another breath Here the closing scene A vacant crowd is standing about the silver bed they glance into his pockets ignoring what he said They are waiting, only waiting For the ceasing of his breath They are fighting, always fighting For the moment of his death |
I love that. It makes me sad... But lately anything that has to do with death makes me sad... You know? |
I'm envious of the rhyming. I'm not very good at getting poetry to rhyme.
|
She has an obsession with couplets. |
Well, she's very good at it. I encourage the obsession.
|
As do I. ;P I've been reading her stuff lately... When I'm not lazy. I have this thing where I only read my own amateur writing. XD |
Well the two of you have spurred me to write. Let's see if I can pen something before the day is out
|
I should write something before the day is out myself... I haven't in a while. I should post my other poem that I like a lot in there as well... |
*dusts off hands* Okay I spit some words out, thanks to the two of you getting my thoughts turning :)

The One That Talked. There is a path for him to take, The leaves will crumble as they break, He walks by himself, but not alone Their saccharine voices are calling him home. He looks upon the rugged rock, Barely breathing, too scared to talk The waves crash upon the wasting cliffs No one could, could ever stop this. He runs his fingers through his hair, Pondering his last affair One with the rocks and with the sea One to take him away from thee A single step, Rocky debris, His own words torment you You only did what you could do His breath shortens in his chest He'll find a way to final rest The voices call him quietly Offering him his sanity He takes another ragged breath To plunge into the icy depths He never wanted to go like this But peace is an offer he cannot resist He reached out to you Flailing for your hand But you dismissed him He couldn't meet your demands. He told you of their pretty words And how it was all he ever heard You said he was fine, it was all his head. Remember these rocks... That are covered in red. Remember when you said... There's nothing wrong with him? And how he should be a man, to earn your love again. Remember those pretty blades? That you forced into his chest Don't worry dear Mother does know best. So he did what he thought he had to Let gravity take control You should have seen how lovely he was Playing his final role The medics will be there a moment too late With purple lips he sealed his fate His mind no longer feels the pain, This was all that he could gain. They'll pull his remains From the relentless stone His secret pain Can now be known His body is no longer one piece But thanks to you he found his peace Lying shattered upon the rocks. This is the end of the one that talked. |
A Note On All Things Lovely It's in the tears Of those that cry The ones who shun The mirror's eyes It's in the boy On her step Begging for her to take his breath It's in her blade's kiss And sweet subtle bliss It's in her lungs and upon the tongue It's in love Secretly there It's in the mouth Of those unaware It's in the meeting Of soul one and soul two Out of this Beauty grew |
Hrmmm. I like these. o: |
Confetti Breakdown Glitter and sparkle baby They're littering your eyes Come on now love Try and take me by surprise And there's the sunrise darling The color of a flame No matter how much I try to heal I'll never be the same Can you see the tundra sweetie? Does it remind you of my heart? Don't let me fool you kid I've loved you from the start The plains are over there my heart. You can see every piece of me So take my hand in yours dear one And Oh! Look for the sea The water sparkles from the sun Isn't it beautiful Love? It seems I jumped the gun. Your sparkles and glitter Were not prepared for me Can you take me all in baby? Tell me what you see? |
The Difference Between The walls are tinged with the color smoke But there was no fire here It all brings back a lesson learned Things are not as they appear. Geysers in the ceilings Trace patterns on the beds One can here them whisper But never hear what's said. Tearful eyes erase the stains That have always lined the walls After come the haunting screams That leak into the halls Bloodied lips tell tales Of stories once told here The cobwebs show life But there is nothing but their fear |
I really like that second one. |
Me too, even if it is pointless |
Yeah. xD I still like it. |
The Monster For we were once The Beloved ones, Now look upon What we've become The sky is clouded With the Smoke of our oldest Not to be alleviated By even our boldest The Forest, wizened with age Is bound here by this decaying cage, Like a murderer we come With bloodied knife We seem determined to prolong their strife We destroy What shields us from The vengeful rays Of Morning Sun We take and take But know not to give To this dying planet On which we live. |
Disillusionment His heart pounds inside his chest Aphrodite leaves him succorless He is captured by maiden eye In her hands, his life does lie He gives it all saving none, Until it seems her heart is won He puts her up among the stars Ignoring pain and possible scars He loves with white hot intensity Supplementing her vanity She demands his full attention This sickening greed creates dissension. So his eyes begin to wander Others he begins to ponder He finds another and betrays the trust All men are slaves to incomparable lust |

Price Lights shine down Blurring out your eyes, You never thought you'd make it here But no one is surprised. Pressure's on and you don't know what to do, You'd do anything, to make them proud of you. Keep up the smile boy, they're expecting it you see? If only you had listened, but you're just too naive. It's becoming hard, just to face a day. All this is on you, and you just want to play. Run your fingers through your hair, and wipe away the tears, Call up that old friend, she warned you of her fears. |
Poised A painted sky in autumn, lasting all the way to June, With broken implications darling, you're sadly out of tune. Masochistic criticism, spilling slowly from your mind. No one blames you sweetheart, 'cause peace is hard to find. So stumble, stumble through the world. Don't speak out, look pretty, do as you're instructed, You twisted little girl. |
