I'm not sure, but I feel kind of bad trading them in for items. xD What will happen to the poor lost souls?

Yes, we're collecting the souls so that they can go back on their journey. Right now they're lost because the Fati Luxphera was broken; we're collecting the shards so that it can be fixed and be a beacon to guide them. The items in the shop are simply rewards in thanks for your help.

I saved the soul of a radiant maiden who, if she had lived a little longer, would have united all worlds through her poetry and lead everyone into a state of peace everlasting. Then I sold her to some shop to buy myself a shiny, brand new moon, because that's just how I roll. 8D
