TRON: Legacy

I am sooo excited for this movie and have been since I saw the preview months ago on Youtube. I'm not sure if it's a remake of the original or if it's a sequel. I'm kinda disappointed that Disney made it, but the visual aspects of the film look like they would be amazing on the big screen.

However, I would not recommend a person with epilepsy to watch this movie. There seems to be a lot of flashing lights and fast-paced action.

So, are you excited for Tron? Would you see it in the theater? Do YOU have epilepsy?

I AM SO EXCITED FOR TRON!!! It is going to be a sequel, not a remake. And Disney made the first TRON, so I'm thinking it will be good. C:
I am also excited that Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack.

I want to go see the midnight showing! (if there will even be one) but I don't have a car. =( I'll have to find someone with a car who wants to see it.

Sorry to if this counts as necro'ing a dead thread. o_o;

Disney actually made the first Tron. It's why it's also a level in Kingdom Hearts. =)

I really enjoyed the original movie, and it reminded me of Reboot which I thought was an awesome show. =D

I recently bought a prequel comic (only two issues) of Tron Legacy and it's kind of interesting. I know they won't really explain that in the movie hehe, so I like having a bit of backstory.

I think it'll be a really awesome movie. I would love to even cosplay their suits/fashion if possible.

I had never even heard of TRON before I watched this and I fell in love!
It looks freaking amazing 8D
Something I'd definitely love to see ;o
Gah so far away though xD
Anyways, yeah I'm excited for it :D

Fizzyology 11-16-2010 03:29 PM

I have mixed feelings on it lol. Since it's a remake and remakes tend to suck eggs regardless of how cool the trailer is I'll probably wait to watch it till it makes it to a dollar theater or TV

It looks cool, but trailers can be deceiving :O

AcidDrop 11-27-2010 01:17 PM

my sister is going mad over this.. she wants to see it so bad mainly because Daft Punk are doing all the songs!

Alyssia 11-29-2010 04:57 PM

Yea, I'd seen this too, I'm a little excited...it makes me want to go and watch the old one though~ I think that I'll wait till it comes out on Blu-Ray though...the theater here totally stinks.

Gozed 12-14-2010 09:05 PM

Yeah, I've watched the old Tron, played the new game, and been reading everything on the Tron wiki, I'm pretty excited. I'm even cosplaying as Zuse...

Padfoot 12-17-2010 06:18 AM

Just saw the Movie. Decided I wanted to post about it. Cause it was amazing and just...the combination of Daft Punk and The Visuals...Just..Ahh I'm all giddy..XDD The Costumes in the Movie were simply beautiful~

Ahh thats all Im gunna say XD

Illusion 12-17-2010 12:48 PM

=O Really!? I wanted to see it tonight, but timing is bad xD.. So tomorrow me and Nightmare are off to see it. <3 I'm glad you said it was great, I remember last time I reviewed a movie on trisphee.. It was the last airbender last july... AND IT WAS TERRIBLE AND I COMPLAINED SO MUCH IT KILLED ME.

NikkoGallarado 12-17-2010 01:26 PM

I plan on seeing it today. I will so watch in in 3-D I saw the old one I would like to see how they did with this one and the story behind it all.

Illusion 12-17-2010 01:40 PM

I want to see it in 3D as well, I was told the 3D was great in the film.
I would love to see a reference to the MCP, he is just that one villian you would always remember.

Illusion 12-18-2010 11:13 PM

Just got back from the movie.. SOOOO GOOOD.. You just HAVE TO SEE IT IN 3D!
Its weird that my newspaper gave it a half of a star out of 4. Its sooooooo gooooood. My friend was at the edge of her seat xD
You just have to see it in theaters and in 3D.

I hope they make a sequal.. Poor Tron though... He was evil throughout the film and you never got to see his face.. At least he came around at the end crashing into CLU's air.. Cycle.. Thing.

Lucid: 12-19-2010 02:31 AM

he was evil WHUUUUUUUT? D:

I usually hate 3D movies, is it really that amazing in 3D? I saw Tangled last night in 2D and tonight in 3D and liked it better in 2D. but if Tron is one of those made-for-3D movies like Avatar was, I might see it in 3D.

Gozed 12-19-2010 02:34 AM

He was reprogrammed, but you saw digitally remastered version of him in flashbacks.

I just saw it, I loved it. I'd say 80% of it was 3D, but even then, it wasn't noticeable.

So I should go see it then? haha

Well it's not mind popping out of the screen 3D, its more the scenes were just made to be seen in 3D.

Syric 12-19-2010 01:48 PM

I enjoyed Tron, it was a great movie. I really didn't care for the fact that it was 3D though. The 3D effects really weren't that impressive, and I for one will be glad with this trend dies out and movies go back to normal.

Revenge 12-21-2010 12:28 AM

I want to see the new TRON in theaters. I saw the first one and loved it, so I'm going to try and not compare them to each other too much.

Juniper 12-21-2010 11:15 PM

I hadn't actually seen the old Tron until the new one starting showing commercials and inspired me to see it. I now can't wait to see the new one!

TreeGoddessAlways 01-09-2011 11:21 PM

Tron is incredible.I was extremely impressed with the fighting scenes. I do agree that the 3D didn't give it that much effect but it did add to the movie a little. I was really pleased with the ending, I didn't think the girl was going to make it through as an actual person. And I still wonder, what would happen if she got hurt in the real world? Would she bleed?

Darkest Laugh 01-15-2011 03:31 AM

For those of you who don't know, Daft Punk actually shows up in the movie. They are the 2 DJ's at the party. When you watch the movie, you will know who I'm talking about.

I watched it, and I'd say about 99% of the movie was either good or great. The ending sucked, or at least I didn't like it.

Oh, and I was really disappointed with how often you actually get to see Tron himself....

So Tron Legacy comes out this Tuesday, I am excited!

And all these new teasers coming up for the next Tron movie, Tron: The Next Day (possible title), what do you guys think will be going on in it? Will anyone else be buying the movie on release day?

I personally liked the first tron movie. The second one was disappointing to me, but then again, most movies these days are. Sure, the graphics are cool but I thought the whole plot was cliche. The lack of tron's appearance annoyed me too. I would have rather seen a remake rather than a sequel.

Taki 04-08-2011 02:49 PM

I really ought to watch the original, then get Legacy. It sounds/looks so interesting but I just haven't gotten around to it. xD

Alpha 11-15-2011 08:20 PM

The movie was amazing. Wish I had seen it in theaters, but was better when able to watch the first movie right before watching this one. It allowed me to remember a lot of the details I forgot about it. There is always the possibility of a sequel, and have to say that my favorite scene was the light cycle fight. Like how they can choose to turn their trails on and off where they couldn't in the first.
