That's actually what I had in mind, or he promised Tristan something like bringing a friend or someone back who died in the digital world and never did it, so Tristan gets upset and wants to make him pay for getting his hopes up. XD

Could be, oh I had an idea while I poofed. You know the necklace crests from the first series? I was thinking the lucemon maybe created a dark crest for Tristan to use his full powers and in doing so Tristan left his original crest somewhere and maybe lily finds it and it causes conflict or something?
