[M] Who are you?

Nikko sat with in the coffee shop reading a book his long fingers tapping against the table as he smiled some to self. It was quiet and time away from everything for once in long while it was rather nice for once. The two colored eye male tipped his head some, resting it back against the seat he was in. I am the manry-est of men! |
The bell atop the door to the coffee place that Tanner entered rang. So far his day was going hectic. From Riley, his now ex boyfriend, to the fact that he was now homeless and didn't have anywhere to stay. "Bastard.." Tanner muttered, remembering the look on the other mans face when he'd walked in to find the girl straddling his waist on their couch. Making his way up to the counter to order a hot chocolate, Tanner supposed that he could stay with his cousin Julian for the night till he found a place.

The taller male looked over never seeing this person before. After all he did frequent this shop a bit since he was able to get a small home here for him and the boys to stay at for the winter months when they came. Closing his hazel eye he was in wonder of what happened since the other looked rather disgruntled by something. Placing a marker into the book he stood up walked over. "Here allow me get your drink for you." he said a bit of accent followed in his words. "You seem pretty down on your luck." as he placed a few bills on the counter. I am the manry-est of men! |
Tanner looked up at the tall man who was now standing in front of him and almost took a step back. Not because of his size, but his appearance. Were those ears real? His voice had caught Tanner a little off guard. It was sexy as hell. Crap, no, bad Tanner. "I uh...thank you, but you really didn't have to do that." He ducked his head, blushing some. "I'm alright, really. I just had a problem with my..roommate, is all."

Slightly tilting his head some he looked the other over trying to read him but was getting very far in that process. He smiled softly gave a small wave of his hand. "No, no it's okay really I got it any how. Roommate troubles? I haven't heard something like that in a real long time. I wont pry, but please enjoy your drink." as he couldn't help but smirk some at the flush color cross the others face. I am the manry-est of men! |
Tanner didn't really know what else to do but nod and lift the drink up to his mouth, blowing on it some. Closing his grey eyes he let the smell drift up his nose. Hot Chocolate, always soothes a broken heart. Tanner frowned some at his thoughts. "I know, it sounds kind of weird really.." The urge to cry was strong. "Its nothing new though..we fight all the time and it usually ends with me walking out. But..um, yeah..thanks again." He bit his lip and went to sit down at a table near the window.

The brown haired male nodded some as he turned walked away heading back to his part of the little cafe picking up his book as he picked up his tea cup, taking a drink noting it was cold. He wrinkled his nose some as he was about to ask for another pot, the girl behind the counter took the old one and placed down a new one. "Here you are Mr. Gallarado, enjoy~" she smiled at him headed back into the back. Nikko chuckled some as he watched her, taking the marker out of his book to continue reading it. Gazing out the window and watching people walk by was something Tanner did often, but today was different. He'd never been to this little shop. Only passing it by on his way to Riley's. His eyes couldn't help but stray to the man sitting at his own table, reading. The way his nose had wrinkled when he realized something was wrong with his cup. A girl came over to refill it.
"Gallarado.." Tanner said softly to himself, hearing what the girl called him. That was an interesting last name. Thinking about it for a moment, he realized he didn't know his first name. Biting his lip he took a sip from his cup, looking down at the chocolate that moved inside of it as he sat it down. Tanner wasn't good with small talk, nor actually keeping up a conversation. Should he talk to him? |
Nikko was well known in this area for his trouble some twins Ace and Demetri. But also for the mystery that lie around him and his kin. It was not normal that mythical beings would even show what they are let alone show what breed they where. It took the small area to get over the fact that Nikko, allowed the ears and tail to show his two son hardly did it. But another one was like him it was younger male who would be seen with him from time to time. The older male felt as if he was being watched as he shifted his gaze up to look from the book that was before him. Though he didn't dare to turn look to the other, who was looking at him. But it made him wonder what the youth wanted from him. I am the manry-est of men! |
Getting up and disposing of his empty cup, the sandy haired teen took in a big breath as he made his way over to the others table, "Sorry if I am disturbing you but..do you come here to this place often? I mean. I've never been here other than today but..I was curious?" He asked, trying hard not to show how nervous he was. He wanted to be able to repay the man the next time he saw him.

Moving the book down some as he placed his finger between the pages set it on his lap. "No, I'm fine, I should be asking you if you are fine." he smirked a little leaning back in his seat. "I am here a bit, through out the week. You can find me here in this spot." as he was wondering what the youth was getting at. "How rude of me, I never told you my name. Nikko, Nikko Gallarado." as he bowed his head some. I am the manry-est of men! |
Why did he have to ask that? Was it that obvious that he wanted to go home and beat the crap out of his ex? He gave Nikko a little smile. “I'm fine...really..” He whispered, “Thank you N-Nikko.” Did he really just stutter? “My names Tanner..Tanner Vetris.” Tanner held out his hand for him to shake, not really sure if he would. “I just wanted to know for the fact that I wanted to be able to repay you for today the next time I come here.” If he did. There was no telling what would happen the next day. Usually it involved Riley begging on his knees. If he refused. Well, that involved Riley to throw fit and drag him back home till they settled things.

He lifted his hand up waved a little. "No your fine really, no need to worry." as he saw the others hand, he reached out to give him a shake. "I think you should head off and do what you need to do and fix thinks with your friend." as he let go of Tanner's hand. "You don't have to repay me, you look like the kind of person who shows up in a place once or perhaps twice then not really return. So don't worry about, think of it a treat." I am the manry-est of men! |
When Nikko released Tanner's hand, the teen just looked at it. Did he really seem like that kind of person? It wasn't that he meant for it to be that way. “I don't think that we'll be kissing and making up for a while.” He blushed, realizing what he had just said.
“In all honesty, I would much rather forget him for a while. But, Mr. Gallarado, I would like to do something for you..I don't want to be like the type of person that you say.” |
Nikko picked up the marker placed it back into his book as he set it off to the side. "Are you sure? He sounds like an important person to you, I think it would be wise to go back and make up don't you think?" as he rested his head upon his hand. Watching Tanner still amused at how easy the other blushed, in many ways it remind him of him self in his much younger years. "Why forget?" he asked as he listened on. "You don't have to do anything for me really, no need to, I ask for nothing in turn. People are people, who you are what I say dose not define who you are does it?" I am the manry-est of men! |
"Why? He'll just end up hurting me again..." and again. He slowly pulled out a chair, looking to Nikko to make sure it was alright that he sat their. "I see what your saying. I am that sort of person, Mr. Gallarado. I didn't use to be though." Tanner messed with his sleeve, a sigh leaving his lips. "I have always been the person to return generosity to others..." He couldn't help but look into Nikko's different colored eyes. One purple, the other Hazel. Beautiful. Quickly he looked away.

"Pain is part of growing up, everyone must experience it one way or another. I should know, I learn from a young age." he laughed a little. He didn't mind that Tanner was going to sit, it was rare for anyone to stop and sit with him. "Just call me Nikko, never liked it when people would call me by my last name. Reminds me to much of my father...." as he trailed off the last part. "Also don't forget people change when they meet other kinda of people in there lives." I am the manry-est of men! |
“I'm not going to keep going through with it. Either the bastard likes me or a doesn't. Screwing other women in our bed..that's not love..that's.” He put his head in his hands, blowing air out through his mouth. “I'm sorry, I shouldn't burden you with my troubles..I'll just end up going back to him the next day. That's all there is to it.” He clucked his tongue, pursing his lips to Nikko's words. “I changed alright...”

"Why not talk to him about it? Really? If it bothers you so much, I think you should talk to him or just leave him. Why suffer so much if he continues to hurt you be bring others into your home?" he questioned some, as he crossed his arms fingers tapping against his upper arm. "It's fine, I have two teen boys who have the same problem from time to time. If you don't wanna go back you can always come back with me. To have some change, if you don't like it, you can always go back to how you always have been. What do you say?" I am the manry-est of men! |
Live with him? He barely knew him, but Tanner really didn't want to go back to that apartment."Its not that I really want to go back to him..I don't. Rather its him coming to me and dragging me back." He frowned at his words. "...I can't believe I have been letting this go on for this long." Tanner sat back against the chair, looking at Nikko. The man didn't look very old. More in his 20's than anything. "You have children? A-And they're teens? You don't look...not to um be rude but..how old are you Mr-I mean, Nikko?" He caught himself before he said Gallarado.

"As strange as it sounds I know how you feel about being with that kind of person. I really do..." his smiled softened became a little sad when he said that. "You do what you do cause you care for him, but if it has been going on for so long, then you should do something for you." as he watched the teen tilting his head some. "Yes, I do." he smiled as wolf ears flickered some. "How old am I? 12,600 as of right now I think." as he tapped his chin a bit. I am the manry-est of men! |
"Well I'm glad that you do..and yet the look on your face makes me wish that you didn't. I'm sorry if I brought up bad memories Nikko.." He wanted to reach over and touch his hand but thought better of it. It would be strange, even if it was only to make the other feel better. "As for doing something for myself...I'm not really sure I know how to do that. He was my first." A blush tinted his cheeks once more and he looked down. "Boyfriend, I mean...and I've never really been with anyone else or by myself."
His grey eyes widened hearing Nikko's confession as to how old he was. 12,600? But his children were teen's just like Tanner himself. The ears atop the man's head moved this way and that. It was kind of cute and yet slightly strange being that he'd never met anyone like him before. "I'm sort of..my brains spinning to all of this." He laughed, "but I feel like me living with you, even for just a little while would be a bother." |
"Not really, I have the room. I think the twins would like to see a new face about the house. Someone they can talk with on the same level as them in away." as he poured him self some tea. "This is nice to have someone new and about. "I mean after all, I think you could use some time away, and start a new, so it will all be fine." I am the manry-est of men! |
"A-Alright. I guess it couldn't hurt." He seems nice enough, Tanner thought. He understands what I'm going through. Just a few nights won't hurt. The teen nodded, watching Nikko pour some tea into the cup he had in front of him. This guy really liked tea."I would like to meet them. Thank you." Tanner looked down at his hands, his auburn hair falling into his eyes.

Adding some sugar with lemon he took a sip of his drink. "Alright, you can stay as long as you like really. I think Ace and Demetri would like it a lot. They haven't met any other teens around here cause well then can never find them about. "I thin they would to met you." I am the manry-est of men! |
Tanner smiled, happy at this for the fact that, he didn't really have any friends other than his cousin and Riley. But he didn't think he could call either of them his friends. Were Ace and Demetri like their father? What about their mother? Did they have a mother? "I'll be right back. I'm gonna get some coffee. Be right back." He told Nikko, getting up and going to the counter.

Nodding some to Tanner the older male just looked to the side his gaze going out the window as his tail swayed slightly back forth his ears lowering a little as his thoughts seem to wonder away from him, and in away get the better of him. I am the manry-est of men! |
Tanner was still thinking about his decision when he made his way back to the table to Nikko. He noticed him gazing out the window like Tanner been doing earlier, probably deep in thought. Sitting back down, the brunette drank his coffee in silence for a few moments before finally asked, "Where do you live?"

"Where I live? Up the hill in the small Villa, but we only come here for the winter seasons really." he admitted. "For the summer we head back home." as he shifted his gaze back to Tanner. "And you?" I am the manry-est of men! |
"I use to live with my uncle, before I ran away to live with Riley when he moved out. On occasion I go to my cousins when we have fights, Riley and me, I mean." The warmth from the coffee was seeping into his fingers. It felt so nice. "But where you live sounds really nice. I can't wait to see it." He played with the rim of the cup as he said this.

"I happen to be leaving once I finish this pot." as he picked up the cup to take a sip of it. The tea had become cold but it would have been rude to get another pot suddenly since he needed to finish what was given to him already. I am the manry-est of men! |
"You really like tea.." Tanner grinned, taking some sugar from the middle of the table and adding a bit to his coffee. His mind wandered to what Nikko's house might look like. He had said that they were only here for the winter, a home away from home.

"Yes, it my favorite thing, along with what my mother loved." as he smiled some. "It helps me relax more then things like coffee or sweets." as he finished off tea, reaching in his coat pocket he placed a tip on the table as he gathered up his bag putting the book away. "Shall we head off now?" I am the manry-est of men! |
Nodding, Tanner said, "Yes. Lead the way..Nikko." He really wanted to say Mr. Gallarado. Maybe it was the fact of how his last name sounded on his tongue. It was interesting.

Heading out of the shop, the light brown haired male walked down the side walk turned the corner as he headed up the street. Sling the messenger bag over his shoulder. "It shouldn't be to long of a walk from here really." as he pointed up the street to show a road going up a hill to the small villa a head. I am the manry-est of men! |
Tanner followed along beside him, looking up to where Nikko had pointed. He was right, it wasn't that far. "So, why come here for the winter, if you don't mind me asking?" Tanner asked, realizing he had left almost all of his stuff at the apartment in his hurry to get away. I'll go back tomorrow to get it, he decided.

"My job needs me for most of the summer, that is when things slow down I come here stay here for the winter with my two sons. But once summer starts we leave head back home." as he walked on his tail swaying some as he was thinking a little more, but with a bit of excitement. I am the manry-est of men! |
A frown settled itself on the teen's mouth when Nikko said about him and his family going home when summer began. "I'm sure your boy's love spending time with you..don't they?" He smiled, covering the frown.

"They are teens, at the point in one's lives they don't wanna be around but do. But they spend more time together while I am way away most of time." he looked headed his voice becoming quiet. "They are used to it now, but they can tend to them selves." as he looked around crossed the road to making his way to the dirt path that lead to his home. I am the manry-est of men! |
"O-Oh.." Tanner caught up to the man as he turned to walk down a dirt path. He was at a loss for words on what to say. Feeling that he was prying to much.
