*Ongoing* Referral Contest!
Hey guys! I've noticed how extremely inactive Trisphee has been and I'd really like to do my part by helping this online community. I'll be offering set prizes for the amount of ACTIVE referrals each person gets, meaning said referrals need to have at least 15 posts (excluding Forum Games posts). If you are interested in entering this ongoing contest or contributing to this cause, please post here or message me.

Rules 1. Follow Trisphee's ToS 2. Be respectful - to ALL users and staff. 3. Referred users MUST have a minimum post count of 15 posts in order for the referral to count towards overall referral points. 4. Everyone is welcome to join 5. This is an ongoing contest 6. Posts in Forum Games and necro-ing (reviving older threads with 3-worded posts) does not count towards the 15 posts needed to receive your prize. 7. Completed referrals before this thread do not count 8. Please understand that this is an effort to get Trisphee back as an active community. |

I've found that hosting Join.Me sessions can bring in groups of new members at once. It's a live-streaming site that is free to use. Just find an active forum community, link them to your stream, and play around in different tabs. Also play with item layering. It makes people gasp when I do it... lol. |
I love the idea of a referral contest! Thanks so much for doing something like this!
May I suggest a couple stipulations on the new person's posts? I would personally want to see rules such as the posts may not be in the forum games section, and the posts may not be necros of ancient threads that do not add any value (ie, "Yeah me too" on a 6-month-dead thread). I know that having rules like those might make it harder to reach 15 posts, but there are plenty of active or semi-active threads around to actually chat in, and chatting with people would be so much more valuable in making the new person stay. We could easily point them in the right direction of the more active threads if they need help. You don't have to do what I suggest, I just think it might help encourage the person to stay more long-term. ^.^ |
Suggestions noted! I was actually thinking about this today. I'll implement those things as new rules to encourage newcomers to have actual conversation, and meet people. n__n

Sei - I've seen that live-streaming the site to an audience with the forum-site interest caters to a larger group of people at once. During the livestream, they ask me what this site is. I tell them a little about it, and start to play with the free layering system. When they sign up, I can then show them through my livestream if they have any questions regarding how to make their avatar, the trade system, some of Trisphee's rules about posting, etc. This way it might answer questions other people in the livestream might have.
After the layout gets a revamp and a couple more games get added, I will try my best to do more livestreams and more introductions. It's a time-consuming process, but if a couple more people can dedicate a couple of hours each week doing livestreams of Trisphee, and maybe see if a website would like to exchange small ads, I think we can get some growth here. The sooner these things can get done, the more chance we'll have at keeping people attracted enough to stay with our little close-knit community. I have noticed the layering system alone is what awes a lot of viewers. We just need more publicity about the site to attract more users here. I'm sure we can do it, it will just take dedication. If people care for this site and they want to keep it around, they need to take action and do something about it. Tell their friends, family, reach out to public chat rooms online. Introduce your friends on different avatar sites to Trisphee, and give them a little aurum or a starter pack, a little something to play with in the layering system to help make them feel more welcome and inclined to stay. Stay and post with them while they're getting used to the site. They need someone to post with on here to earn aurum for things they want in the shops and Merchant Square, which every active member can provide a couple of posts if they would just take five minutes out of the time they're online anyway. Skype isn't the same as Trisphee. Adding everyone on there and ignoring the site has led to the site's inactivity. |
For every time I log in the site and I'm the only one on during regular day hours. I'm blaming you Ginger, and subtracting a smiley point from a point scale that I just made up.

Just throwing my two cents in here but I've noticed on all the avatar websites I frequent that activity is way down. I'm not really sure why, but I hope your contest helps get activity stirring here again. I'd like to see this place be active; it's always more fun meeting people when there are lots of people to meet!

That seems like an easy thing to do, as a mod. It must be one of your special abilities. I'd like to be a mod but soon I will be working a full-time job again and probably with overtime hours. I would love to be able to help out around here though. |
Now that we have anti bot registration measures in place, there's not a whole lot that needs modding here honestly. While we're not without our quirks here and there, we're a mostly friendly community and I'm really grateful for that. <3
