ernya is closing
 

so this is awkward but another avi site, ernya, is closing down. i am not sure how many people on here are on there as well but would this be a good time to let friends know to come here instead? what about people who are just looking for a new site, should we do what we did when crysandrea closed and make 'welcome transient users' threads?



i dunno, i had only been back on eryna a week and now it is closing... this is weird

They did open it back up for a few days so everyone could say goodbye to each other. I sent everyone on my friend's list a pm even though I haven't been active on there in forever D:

It's always sad to see sites go, but it's also an opportunity (excuse?) to find new places with other people you don't know, so...not all bad, I think. Granted, anyone who recently paid money for stuff on the site there is probably pissed....

It's totally not all bad. I'm enjoying myself here so far.
And yah...I had two coupons that I had submitted to get and never got them. I was really confused as to why it was taking so long...then they closed down. So, yeah...I has a bit of a sads. That and I donated to them quite a bit since I got my new job.

I think everyone is upset and it's hard not to be, i feel really badly for that artist :( they could crash at my house but i don't imagine they live in oregon.

yeah x____x i get them though, i had that happen, where the owner decided to close down and did not say anything until the last minute though i think there is a dif between a beta site and a full-fledged one XD

I live in WA but am from Oregon. =3 Born and raised there.

I remember 4-5 years ago a slue of them shutting down suddenly because the owners were scamming money or something. Like lunaesaga, I really liked the avatars there y.y

And Trisphee is pretty much the only avatar site I've ever frequented with any degree of activity. The others from the past have all been stuck in one or two roleplay threads. Just sucks thinking about all those memories and posts and friendships just being...deleted. Whew.

Man, I read all the comments on their facebook page and it sounds like they really didn't handle the transition very well. A site announcement giving people time to say their goodbyes, screenshot their threads, save their avis, and all that would have gone a long way. :(

they did for a few hours but it was not nearly enough time for most people to even get on x_____x

I just want to say that this stuff will never happen with Trisphee. I have no intention of shutting down or selling, in spite of a general lack of income. And if for some insane reason it does come to that, and no one can take it over properly, well, it won't be sudden.

thankyou for that, at least. this whole thing with eryna is sketchy as fuck. honestly i would put money on it being a legal issue, otherwise i cannot see why there was less than 24 hours given to get everything taken care of
