Ugggghhhhh

*throws crocheting across the room*

It's going so good and looking so pretty! (I'm making a scarf for my friend's Christmas gift) It appears it's going to be scratchier then I thought! D: To my hands, the yarn feels beautifully soft...against my neck it's slightly itchy. :(

I'm hoping that washing it after it's done remedies this. D<

*ends rant...for now*

Hnnnggggg

Is your gift gathering or creating going well, CS?

Tohopekaliga 12-14-2015 12:06 AM

Tomorrow around mid-morning is my gift-acquisition time. Shopping to do for various people. I suppose I could make things for people, but MEH to that!

littl3chocobo 12-14-2015 12:10 AM

oh toho XD you are so lazy, haha

Tohopekaliga 12-14-2015 12:10 AM

Damn right I am! Why do you think I'm a programmer? :P

Gallagher 12-14-2015 12:11 AM

I thought it was because you care about me.

littl3chocobo 12-14-2015 12:14 AM

i thought it was so you could have a fancy name color

Tohopekaliga 12-14-2015 12:14 AM

Naw, Galla. I keep the site funded for that. :P

That, and the fancy name color, of course. Aww yiss.

Ireland 12-14-2015 12:14 AM

He does it for the ladies. :P

littl3chocobo 12-14-2015 12:16 AM

only the ladies? what a shame XD considering i am marrying a coder it'd be a pretty low bar to get in all over

Quiet Man Cometh 12-14-2015 12:21 AM

My knitting mini-scarf has been sitting in the table here for some time. I'm rather indifferent to it at the moment. Hard to knit and game at the same time.

Ireland 12-14-2015 12:23 AM

That is accurate. Sometimes I wish I was more like Molly Weasley and had the power to have my crocheting going on while I post. XD I'd get so many scarves done!!

Glitch 12-14-2015 01:32 AM

I was going to make clay charms today . . .

I really ended up doing nothing.

So my gift making is poop.

Tas 12-14-2015 05:26 AM

I have one gift left to get for a friend and I have NO IDEA what to get.

Lucid: 12-15-2015 02:58 PM

I have acquired lovely presents for my brother and sister though amazon. I still have no idea what to get for my mom or dad, though. I asked my mom and she didn't know either! xD I'm running out of time. Why are parents so hard to shop for. T_T

Tas 12-15-2015 03:59 PM

ack, this reminds me I still haven't figured out what to get for my friend! v_____v

Fulkth 12-15-2015 05:09 PM

I've been lazy....at this rate the kiddos aren't going to be getting christmas gifts.

Ireland 12-15-2015 06:33 PM

My wife made terracotta oil scent diffusers for our friends for Yule!

I, on the other hand, have no artistic or crafty talents, and stayed far away from her work area. My contribution to the holiday season is staying cool under pressure while driving in the insane traffic around here.

Poggio 12-24-2015 03:12 PM

Daw, What kind of yarn did you use?

I have had the tragic tale of making a white fluffy scarf for a person for christmas only to have black water proof ink to spill on it.

Though this year. Well I am too poor and haven't had time to think about anything.

Reiyumi 12-26-2015 02:49 PM

I'm a beginner at crochet, and so far I'm bad at it. :^)

Awen Moonshine 12-26-2015 06:24 PM

I've not yet taken up crochet, but I can knit basic things like scarves/snoods.

I made my brother a waistcoat with Doctor Who fabric for Christmas, and made my sisters peanut butter and chocolate fudge (the sot you eat with a spoon from a jar). I made my partners brother some peppermint fudge (made with a white chocolate base) last night as we were seeing my partners family today ^_^

Thanks a lot. Now I must watch it.

Also, I crochet blankets and cat derriere coasters.

Den 12-27-2015 03:47 AM

I'll be knitting a scarf for the boyfriend on my flight out to see him, and on the layover in Salt Lake City...

Fulkth 12-27-2015 05:41 AM

I've seen that thneed movie. xD

Interesting story.

RedRum 02-06-2016 10:04 PM

This last Christmas I had my longest list of folks to buy for that I've ever dealt with and it was slightly stressful because it was difficult to know what those I've not known very long, namely my new step-siblings, wanted.

I always buy my gifts because I'm only able to create anything via photoshop. I don't crochet or knit.
I'm unemployed but I always find a way and start to save as early as August because I don't feel right receiving gifts if I don't give them and there are a lot of reasons for me to appreciate those in my life.
