New server!
 

Hey guys! Server move's all done...

And moving a website across the internet usually has problems, so...if you run into any, please tell me so I can fix 'em.


Current known issues:

• Shops return a 404 error when you try to go directly to them ( http://trisphee.com/shops/4/Threads/ vs http://trisphee.com/shops/ ) Fixed!
  
• Forum emails aren't sending (DM @Trisphee on Twitter and I can help you if you are unable to log in due to this) Fixed!
  
• Avatars not saving. Fixed!
• Crane game errors instead of plays Fixed!
• Exchange inventory doesn't load Fixed!
• Trade screen can't find users Fixed!

Um I can't save the new avatar I just made. It keeps going to a blank screen, I even refresh and it's still blank. And when I close the site and come back my avatar isn't changed.

Okay, I'll get on that.

And fixed! That was silly of me. Thought I'd checked it...Must have done it on the old server thoughtlessly. Woo.

I tried playing the crane game, but there's some sort of error whenever I grab a prize.

This still isn't fixed for me. Whether I'm on Windows 7 (Pale Moon, FF, or Chrome) or Mac OSX, Safari or Chrome, I go to exchange an item and the spider web graphic continually cycles through with the message "going through boxes..." for hours. I even left it running over night a few days ago and it wouldn't budge. When I refresh, it takes the item I was exchanging and gives me nothing.

I've rebooted my Mac and updated everything and removed cookies and it still refuses to work. :(

mm, oh dear. I'll look into that.

Had to do with specific items and a bit of weirdness in how the data's handled. Fixed that right up. :)

If it take more than 30 seconds or so to stop spinning its web...it's never gonna stop, so just report what you did, and it'll be good.

Also, FYI, you *did* get an item back from the exchange, it just didn't tell you properly.

Yay. It works now! Thanks for fixing that and for letting me know about the items being deposited in my inventory. I saw duplicates, but I've been collecting them from the Crane game to trade and didn't remember which ones I had.

Umm...my main internet source seems to still think Trisphee is changing servers (the "sorry, Trisphee is down, servers are changing" message is all I get). I cm right now limited to access through other wifi providers (like cafe wifi). I don't know why that is.

That is definitely strange.

Try opening a command prompt window with administrator privileges (type cmd in the start menu, then right click on that and run as administrator) and then type: ipconfig /flushdns

if that doesn't work...then you can edit the "hosts" file for your system at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

(Careful with this, putting bad information here can make your computer do weird things)

Open that file up in Notepad, and look to see if there's an entry there for Trisphee for some reason (there shouldn't be, but that's about the only reason I can think of why you would still be ending up at the old server after flushing DNS), delete the line containing trisphee.com and the IP address. Save the file, possibly close and reopen your web browser, and enjoy Trisphee!

If there isn't something there for Trisphee, you can add it:

74.207.235.142 trisphee.com

Put that on a new line in the file, and you'll be golden. But if we move servers again (probably not any time soon), you'll have to edit that again to get access.
