Mind the flying veggies, as you recreate one of the simplest Turkey-Day crafts out there. The Hand-Turkey. The premise - in case you have forgotten - is simple. You take a piece of paper or card-stock, trace your hand, and cut it out, decorating it to (sometimes, depending on the child) resemble the bird we all eat at this time of year.

Well, this contest is similar. Only the method is up to you. I want to see your best Gobblers! Use a paint program, use someone else's hand, make it out of clay, I don't care. It has to adhere to four rules.

1. It must at least look like a turkey and a hand had a baby.
2. It must be YOUR OWN WORK. No copying things from the internet.
3. Real pictures are fine, but avoid anyone's faces!
4. Have fun! And yes, this is a rule. XD

I'll be judging on three categories, each with separate prizes!

MOST CREATIVE: [Prize: Ink Mage]

MOST ACCURATE TURKEY: [Prize: Albert F-15]

MOST HUMOROUS: [Prize: Birdbath]

i have construction paper >.< and i was already planning to make turkeys with the girls and hubby so we had something fun to hang up ... it's awfully late now. xD we've been crazy sick lately and haven't even taken the halloween decorations down yet ^^:;

LOL What I've got seems to be chronic. Means I'm no fun to eat out with, because I can't eat any of the inexpensive and readily available things.

i completely understand that. i seem to have an allergy or sensitivity or soemthing to preservatives.

With me, it seems to be a tag team wimp out between my gallbladder and my bowel. Add to that gluten sensitivity AND the inability to eat ANY potato without getting a messed up head.

My Thanksgiving was a month ago. And yeah. My problem too. No way to show the turkey. That, and I wanna use a glove to make a hand turkey dolly.

Ahh. Rice for me. Meals need rice. No, I don't have any Asian ancestry. Just rice has never made me sick, and I can mix all kinds of weird stuff into it.

I have asian ancestry, but I hardly ever eat rice these days. Bread though, I eat a lot of. Bread from asian bakeries XD

Okay, I went over this, and no - it does not count as a 'Hand-Turkey' - it looks too much like the coloring thing for another contest. Although it is very pretty, and you'll get something nice from me as a bonus. XD

Yeah he's construction paper and wiggly eyes and I traced fingers (not hand) for butt fingers but I am trying to make another one but probably won't have time

If I'm not too late I got a Turkey with lots of hands AND the body is made from FEET (chopped off the toes) I had a little help on him so the feathers ended up ruffled cut.... Hope I'm still able to submit it :)
