Winter Event
I can't believe I lucked out enough to have time to save a bit of coin before the next event, but not so long that I'll be buzzing with impatient glee by the time it gets here.
As I'm quite new (today, in fact) to this site, I don't have any previous events or years to base the future on. Any speculation or hope as to what this event will entail? I'd love to hear theories! |
Well, for hopefully obvious reasons, I won't speculate on the event, but I will tell you that you won't really need to spend much aurum to participate in the event. :)
Still, won't hurt to earn a bit! More items you can use for outfits. :D |
Now is definitely a great time to get settled into some places to chat. Once the event kicks off, you'll want to be everywhere! Post everywhere!! Talk to everyone!!! GET ALL THE ITEMS!!!!

...Snow's a good guess. Maybe there'll be something to do with snowmen or polar bears? Ice sculptures? A little igloo background would be cool, or maybe even the Northern Lights!

The currency's a thing. It's earned the same way as Aurum (and same time, too), with a few other methods as well. It's fairly common that Trisphee events use a themed currency to buy things from the event shop. Events are set up so that a user posting at a reasonable rate can get all the items in its time period, how ever we're giving items. |
Hopefully I'll have time this event to post more then 10 times during the whole course of it.

What's the theme currency this year, then? Snowflakes? Icicles? Snowballs you can throw at other Trisvians when you're done buying items from the event shop?
I hope you'll have time to post more than ten times, too, Illusion. ...On an unrelated note, I didn't even know that the Trisphee Illuminati was even a rumor. |
Currency you can literally throw at people is a fun idea...but I don't have time to set that up properly. Maybe something to happen in the future. :P

I remember they did that on ernya for valentines day one year and it was pretty hilarious. |
Ernya did quite a few various events with "war/fight" stuff actually. It was kind of an interesting concept actually. But yeah, I can imagine it would take quite a bit of coding.

It would be a fun idea for the future. The only thing that bugs me about any event currency (I don't know how ti works here, I'm judging from other sites), is I always have useless leftovers that either vanish or sit there doing nothing but mock me about the things I didn't have quite enough of it to buy, or a missed deadline to buy said things with it. If it could be equipped or flung, it would be a definite bonus.

oh, no, we already know. in fact, most of the items have been finished, uploaded, and priced already.

You're able to trade currency and a lot of users like to set up trades or give away their leftover currencies when they have all the copies of items they want.

Nah, that's already decided. What's being awarded is decided already. All I'm doing is making sure all of my code stuff works for what I want to do.

Well, sure. But I don't think that's the problem, really. I think the problem is that people just don't realize Trisphee is here, and active.
(That said, I do want to do something like that, and have been thinking about implementation details while working on more pressing matters.) |

I do like being able to gift/trade leftover currency to other users. |
