I'm pretty sure I heard that Ernya had closed (from Cho, probably), but I must have forgotten about it because this came as a small shock to me.
Think my first-ever forum site was Ernya (Gaia doesn't count; only ever posted twice in the forums), and then Wolfrin found me and introduced me to Tris. Haven't been on Syn in....a while. Guess it was just the general feeling of not fitting in, what with being a latecomer of sorts, or cliques having already formed from previous sites... |
I never actually went on Ernya. It disappearing was around the time that I'd decided to register on a few avatar sites, and I hadn't gotten to it yet. It's always a shame to see a community get blasted out fo existence because the site owners couldn't keep their business together.

I used to be on Ernya a lot as Winter. I joined shortly after it had opened but I ended up leaving for there for the same reason I left everywhere, college and life taking all of my time! I had only just started peeking in again a few days before it closed!

Espy: I hate cliques. When I joined Syndrone it was pretty cliquey, but when I went back after Ernya closed I had a great experience there. Everyone was so nice, but then I don't talk to people who are not nice.
Toho: yeah the owners just crashed and burned. I guess Emy left Prezok and he just didn't or couldn't run the site alone. I mean there was no warning. That kinda sucked. Glitch: I might have remembered you. I didn't really talk much, there were some mean girls there when I joined in 2010, but they eventually left and I got more bold. I never went into the Babblesphere, it was too intimidating. |
Ya I just had my art thread/hangout that I hung out in and I talked to whoever came in there XD

I did not have any hangouts on Ernya, but one night I met these 2 guys and we just started chatting and next thing I knew I had two friends and Closet Perverts was born! We had a pretty thriving thread going, and I used to post on Media, and especially the Reading Challenge which Llewellyn ran.

It was literally just a puzzle. They used the monthly item release images for them so it was kinda fun. Ive always liked puzzles so I enjoyed it. Plus they had several difficulties so it didnt get too boring/repetitive

Hols: yeah I had an amazing inventory, and Phallus (Aiden) had just given me almost all his inventory a week or so before Ernya closed. I did not know you had designed items, I have a habit of saving every avi I make on my hard drive, so I don't feel I lost anything, but that damn inventory. -weeps- |
Yeah I understand. I had a fairly nice inventory too!
But yeah! The baku the dream theif, medvamp shoes, a super hero outfit(with the hip cape), the red panda item, messy hair buns, deer fascinator...I think thats it lol I really love coming up with designs honestly. |
I had all the original items ._. i was so proud.

I remember two of my friends on Terrasus doing that when it started going downhill. I got a ton of cool stuff and then the site disappeared into the ether. And then reappeared as Syndrone. |
There's so much history of these sites that I just don't know. Clearly, we need an avatar sites encyclopedia. lol.

I registered for Ernya in the same month it closed. After its closing I just registered on a whole bunch of sites, many of whose accounts I went on for a day and never went back x'D.
I have no clue how I found Ernya at all, but I think I was looking for dress-up sites xD. And then forums in an attempt to perform self-therapy for social awkwardness >_<;; |

Yeah Aiden made my dreams come true, oh man. I was so happy, he must have given me 50 spells! Remember those? I went to Syn and Caedon right after it closed, then Syn - wtf? - now I'm here. I must admit I have been recruiting old friends from Caedon. I want them hanging with me here. I kinda wish I was socially awkward hahaha I am so not awkward socially I get into all sorts of trouble irl. I'm actually more shy online than irl. I am working on not being shy online! |

@Pet yeah it is! But it can get stressful, a bit. Just a bit hehehe
The spells were awesome, but when you saved an avatar, it removed the spells, so the avis looked weird. Were you on Syn? I loved the dye system. You could spend hours working on making different color combinations for the items. |
I must have missed the spells bit. Or thought they were stupid and didn't use them, I don't remember.

At first I thought the spells were great and started buying them but then I realized that I would make this awesome avi with the spells then save them, but if I reused the spell it would disappear from my saved avi, so it just looked stupid. I ended up deleting most of my avis and stopped using the spells, I started selling them and did quite well selling them. |

I was on Syn for less than a week xD. On Ernya I sort of remember spells as dye-things, but never got to the point where I used them...I think they looked like potion bottles? |

@ Pot: I don't remember who I was in that bed! But the second pick I was the one leading my little kiddies. I was Momma there, so I took care of and lead them all, I have no idea where I was leading them though. hahaha I think they mostly lead me! |
