I have been playing the Disgaea 5 Demo in preparation of getting the actual game, I got Killia to level 800 so far.. On the PSP version of Disgaea 2 Adel is level 914 the PS2 version.. i have no clue on what level he is. xD My goal for them is.. Level 9999 *A* OVERLORD LEVELZ! I plan to get the first game on steam and am hoping for 3 and 4 to be released on there as well. Seeing as I have 2 different versions of the second game, i'm in no hurry to get that one. I played one of the ps3 games, but it did a crappy job of explaining combos (imo) and it's essentially impossible to win a battle without it so...I didn't get far.

I went to look lol It's 4....I try to do exactly as they showed (with the same people even) and it doesn't work and so I lose the battle towards the beginning of the game D:

Combo attacks? Where two people attack together for a special attack?

so its the same.
unless how you activate it is different... E A|B C A B C are your team. E is the enemy. have your team set up like that, and have A do a normal attack, B and C are suppose to support them, thus doing a combo o-o... thats how it works in D2.. Or do they require it to be a Tower type Combo? o3o I was reading the Disgaea wiki and found out that Mid-Boss is Laharls Dad Reincarnated o-o what an annoying dad... I saw the anime but that was quite a while ago.. apparently he says something in the anime that gives off the hint... >-< I need to re-watch it now! -highlight for spoilers, dun highlight if you don't wanna know- |

It's a Disgaea side series. Pretty fun. It has some dark moments but overall pretty good. I love the demon path. You get it after beating the regular path. It's for PS II((2)). Hopefully it'll go up on Steam.

Gameplay wise it's more like the original series. The difference is instead of I V I you fight with groups against groups. You can rearrange the groups anyway you want. You get more as you progress and some of the rooms the groups sit in offer bonuses.

Yeah true, there's just so many. Really sad though when I found out there's no Gig DLC for Disgaea V. I love Gig he's just all around awesome and I loved seeing his attacks, nice seeing the World Eaters too. Plus he makes an awesome sword. I always had him on my ship.

DOOD! You have to get him. He's so awesome. He's usually the first DLV character I also usually get Zetta along with Ash and Marona. I love both the games they came from.

For D2 I can't get DLC content anymore. I go to the PSN shop on the PSP and it just goes "the shop has moved"
I can re-DL stuff I had already bought for the PSP but other than that, no go. |
Oh dang that stinks. Think it has to do with Sony getting rid of older things. All the servers from the free Vita games I used to play got shut down. I can't even play No Heroes Allowed. I loved playing that game. I'm surprised they didn't take down everything.

As long as I can still download the stuff i bought i'm good ._. cause just having it on the memory card isn't enough, I had to redownload it all when I replaced my PSP earlier this month. Played the fk out of my old one, shocked it lasted 8-10 years xD
It still works, but with the way the UMD drive sounded and how slow the game loaded you could tell the UMD drive was going to fail very soon... |
Funny that reminds me of my on PSP. It lasted a long time but died in the middle of Phantom Brave. XD

I used to really like this series, I think I played all of the main games (and a bunch of the spin-offs), but Disgaea 5 I just could not get into at all. The characters fell really flat for me, the humor felt kind of forced, and there were just so many mechanics and systems with subsystems that even for a Disgaea game it felt overly complicated and just gave me a headache. I really enjoyed the one before, though (D2, I think it was).
Maybe I'm just getting old. I can see you're really excited for it, though, DK. Hopefully you'll like it more than I did. |
I saw that Playstation Now had 3,4 and D2 for stream playing.. I tried it but found my internet was not powerful enough to do so.. so I wasted my Playstation Now trial ;-;

My stuff PC and PS4 is all ethernet hook up. Wifi signals are too weak for awesome things. I'm running on less than 5MBps internet speeds.. ;-; all speed tests come to about 3.8MBps
been trying to get mom to call and ask how much 10 or 20mbps would be ._. Cause if they are offering 60mbps for like 44$ and we're paying so much all ready, we should be able to have at least 20mbps |

What's your favorite Disgaea? I like the gameplay of 5 best, but the characters and story of 4 (especially Desco-related everything).
