Today is my Fiancée's birthday
Today is my Fiancée's birthday and I got her a 10k gold necklace in the shape of a heart with 3 diamonds in it but I hid it somewhere and was like, "Yeah, I wont forget its there!" Guess who forgot where that is? Lol I'm tearing the house apart while she's in the shower looking for it.
I hate when I do this... |
I wish I could help but you didn't tell me whereoyu put it
|
I hope you find it/found it o_o. Where do you normally hide things (if you normally hide things, that is)?
|
I put it in the potato bin? Not exactly sure why...
|
Maybe it's because you're Irish! *shot*
In all seriousness, that IS one of those places that no one would look in without a good reason to, so it's a good hiding place. I remember when my mom had a potato bin... That was a long time ago. |
wtf is a potato bin
|
A bin where you store potatoes, I'm guessing.
|
Coda: lol must be!
Yea it is though but I have never hidden anything there before and dont remember putting it there. Gallagher: Its a wooden box you put potatoes in for storage you heathen lol xD. They also usually have a cubby in the front for onions as well. Den: Exactly. |
i actually did look it up after i asked, and those are pretty neat looking. we never had anything like that in our house. potatoes just sit on the pasta shelf.
|
Galla I think you live in a family of heathens. That or people that just don't like potatoes.
|
no, we love potatoes. i love potatoes. it's one of my favorite foods to work with, tbh. but i've literally never heard of a potato bin before. never seen one. we've never needed one unless it does something other than holding them???
i mean, be nice to me, my world has been fundamentally shifted by this thread. i need time to adjust. |
Tiva: I agree. The Irishman in me nearly fainted when they asked.
Gallagher: lol -gives you strawberry- Its an amazing discovery, we'll give you some time. |
Glitch will pixel you a potato bin, so you can have one.
What is so bad is our potato bin sits empty a lot but we have 2. One for the house and one for the garage. |
Lol
Why do you have one for the garage? |
Her parents and brother forgot her birthday and she's devastated. It breaks my heart to see her cry...my poor sweetie...
|
...what's her name?
|
My parents stopped having a potato bin when they realized it was taking up space and potatoes keep just fine in a bag. I never had one in the first place because I don't eat potatoes often enough to warrant keeping THAT many around.
|
My mom wouldn't know a potato bin if it hit her in the rear. Simplistic food has always been the whole thing in this house - because Mom doesn't view food as anything but fuel. Seriously. We're talking no spices on meat, nobody sautees shit except for onions and peppers, and alternate food choices are met with cringe-faces. This house sucks for a foodie.
|
Coda: lol I see. I am always using potatoes (no surprise. I'm Irish lol) so I always have a ton of them.
Ari: Oh man! Thats so sad! I feel so bad for you! Eating should be a joyful time and it must suck to not be able to enjoy tasty food. I'm a big boy, eating is something I love to do lol. |
That totally sucks and totally sounds like me! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that!
I hope you find it soon otherwise you will have to give her a late birthday present or buy her a second gift while you look for her first. |
Oh! He found it. XD
In the potato bin! Which I don't even know what is. XD |
Yes. In the potato bin for whatever reason...
Ari, google image search them. Its just a wooden upright box that you put a buttload of potatoes in and it usually has a cubby in the front for onions. I didnt realize this wasnt all that common. |
Yeah, I have never heard of them until you mentioned it. My potatoes always start sprouting or turning green before I get around to cooking them.
So I have resorted to just eating boxed potatoes... |
Nothing wrong with sprouting potatoes! Just cut off the sprouts before you cook them. They're still perfectly edible.
