Isis-- I'm a huuuuge fan of jumpers (their cute wittle eyes make them just adorable) but my first love was that of a golden orb weaver. They're black and yellow, massive, and weave the most beautiful webs. If you've never seen one, you should definitely look them up! |
Spider Bod
In your choice of colors. Pretty much every option is there other than the standard base skin colors (called Fleshy in items that do have base skins as a color option). It's a bit expensive, so when you save up for one, I would suggest getting the faded version so you get multiple types of dark spider in one. |

So, in the Body Shop, we've got a few different mod items for that. If you poke around, you'll see we've got the other splices, leg mods, arm mods, etc. What you're gonna want to get is either a Ripped Bod or a few of the Adam items to fill in your torso, as well as the Head of Adam to replace your head.
It takes a little work getting into modding, so if you can't afford all of the pieces right away, try covering up an empty torso with a shirt or arms with sleeves+gloves, since that can be a cheaper alternative. If you're like me, though, and have one skin color you like most, or a specific range that's easy to buy for, you only have to invest in these basic mod pieces once. |
Oooh! Yes, that does make a lot of sense! Okay, I'm understanding how it works now. It just seems like I'll be needing to save up more on here. Speaking of, your avi is really great! I can't wait until I have enough to really start playing with it! I found the equine bodies too, and those are also amazing/really really expensive. Soooo I guess I'm going to have nestle in here and make myself at home. :3

Well, we DO plan on making it a bit easier/cheaper to get into modding, but that project is part of a larger one that Toho is working on for us. For now, we manage well enough. Isis' avatar is a great example of how to make a bod with minimal, and cheaper, pieces. Noodle legs, Big Sweater Hands, and a Head of Adam makes an entire body for just under 2.5k. Not a bad deal at all.
And, on a related note, if you're ever looking at mods and think to yourself "I love this pose, but would love it even MORE if it had ___ on it!" then you can let us know over in the Item Requests thread. Clothes, accessories, skin imperfections. Anything is on the table. You've just got to ask. |

You have been so very helpful! I will do just that, but for right now, I'm loving all of the options that are available! I just need to start saving up! I gave the rules a quick looksie, and I didn't see anything about swear words (this could have been the fact that it was a quick looksie rather than a deep reading), are they allowed so long as they aren't excessive? Also, is currency based on word count? Because if so, that's really tight. This is the second avi site I've used and totally different from the other one, so it's kiiind of new to me. xD |
oh, yeah, you can fuckin' swear and shit around here. just watch out that if a thread in general gets too mature, it might need either a general Mature tag thrown in the title/front post, or for mature posts to be thrown under a spoiler.
it's a good idea to be respectful in a thread until you know people involved are comfortable, but you're not gonna get banned for saying a naughty or anything. currency IS based on word count, so if you're getting like 50 aurum a post, you're getting a pretty good size. really small ones get around 30. my casual posts are usually in the 45 range, lol. stuff in the forum games area get just a few little bits. |
Forty-five seems to be about my average too. And fuckin' right! I was on my best behavior because I wasn't sure. I convinced my besty to come here so we're moving our giant ass rp here, which is cool, because our posts are generally 500+ words. He'll be joining soon! I just earned my achievement for earning over 50 in a post, so that was really cool. xP
Haven't posted in the games yet, but I'm guessing I'll be hanging out often in the rps. I might make myself a hang out thread, and was also considering maybe making a spider identification thread? Like, if members come across a spider they don't recognize I can help them figure out what kind and what should be done if they come across one so they don't need to kill the poor little dears. <3 Both rps we have here do have an R rating so we slapped that on the title, which I now know was the right thing to do. ^^ |
Yeah, just watch out cuz posting straight up porn still isn't alright, but most things in an rp context should be alright. heck, you should see some of the gross things me and Suze (head writer) have had in rps.
Hangouts are always cool, and spider identification sounds interesting. Just remember that if you're making that like a general topic in central square or something, it doesn't count as a personal thread so you don't get any like blacklist rights or anything. are blacklists still a thing? i don't fokkin know, i'm old. |
I honestly don't know. xD I've never had to blacklist anyone, so that's just fine! I don't see how anyone could be horrible enough in that type of thread to warrant blacklisting. I might wait to see if I can become more established in the community before I try any of that anywho!
Oh, and I convinced another friend to join up and move rps here. The currency for word count thing is kind of an rpers wet dream, so I'm stoked. And I get that. The two that I invited here can get pretty raunchy too, so we'll be sure to slap an [M] on the title when we start. Oh geeze, I'm stoked to be here. The two that I've met so far seem pretty chill too. |

Sternum, I completely missed the fact that you said anything! It's really cool that there are other rpers here! You'll probably notice me most in the rp section, actually, as I'm a shy noodle and tend to generally hang out where fiction is prevalent. I love the fact that new commons are released each week, so I guess that means I'm gonna have to make wordier posts! (Though, uh, the rp posts tend to get pretty wordy, so that's a good thing. xD)
