GOOD EVENING GOOD GENTLES AND WELCOME TO THE THRIFT SHOP CHALLENGE!! This Week's Theme is: So Fine It's a Crime 12/18-12/24 Every week on Monday I will post up a theme for you to try to make an avi and you have until the following Sunday to post up your greatest creation! The twist of course is that you have to follow these little rules: Your submission must include an item list with prices of items included. You may use crane game and posting award items as you please (since they are free.) Token items have their own limit. You may use only ONE non-common item. This includes Event, Donation and other non-shop items (excluding crane game and posting awards) Choose wisely. Your submission must cost less than 5000 total AU and 300 Tokens. Rules are subject to change. You'll competing for the fabulous prize of BRAGGING RIGHTS!! Prizes may become available as I get richer in the future. >.> There are two categories it is possible to win. First is the Theme Winner. This is the avatar that best exemplified the theme for this week. My husband will be judging so I won't be biased. The second category is Cheapest Avatar. The individual that stays within the theme and spends the least total money wins this title! |

It's not a challenge if it isn't difficult. I may end up having to bump up the limit a tiny bit, even I am having trouble coming up with something.

IIRC, someone made a thrift shop challenge years ago, and I *think* the aurum limit was 5k? I'm not sure.

Oh God….. I dont even want to think about how much it would cost. Using a Second skin alone would be over the limit, and body mods are costly too…..

Hmm perhaps I should up it to 5k. I didn't even consider body mods when I was browsing item prices.

Yeah no mods are good for 2k, but 5k if you want mods. Mods are life, and very expensive (I dont even want to think about how much i have spent in just Mods)

You could always upload an image of your avatar on somewhere like tinypic if you wanted to do more than one contest at a time

honestly though if we ever end up adding more color sets (we have exactly 0 plans to do it, don't get excited), top of my list would definitely include a couple more brown options, a proper pale yellow, and my favorite purple that somehow among all our purples we don't actually have. |

we're missing a lot of my personal favorite shades honestly. i mean, i love the variety we do have of course, but sometimes i'll have a vision for an item that i just can't do because we don't have the shades that make it work.
