aha, yes, modding here takes a little getting used to.
when you go to change your avi and pick a base to use, there's an empty image you can use, which is going "baseless". when you're baseless, you can construct your own body out of mods and skins. Head of Adam is a must have to get going with mods, as you can cover the empty area of the torso with clothes, but there are other Adam parts as well as other skin sets available in the body shop to fill in the torso. |

we don't have pings currently, it's one of the things on the list of upgrades to add to the site to bring us into the modern age (we're approaching our 8th anniversary, i believe)
quotes aren't annoying, but they don't actually give any notifications, either. they're the old fashioned way of clarifying who you're talking to and about what, nothing more than that it's pretty normal, and our quotes don't make quote trees, and we have a multiquote button to tag multiple users in one go, so feel free to use and abuse |

oh yes, our events are always a great way to quickly accumulate a wardrobe! us on the art team tend to go a wee bit overboard with item making, haha, and as art lead, i make it a general rule to only cut things because of quality, not because TOO MUCH

Welcome to Tris. We have quite a few events over the course of the year, and we try to make regular common item releases (Usually on Tuesdays, sometimes Wednesdays, and occasionally Thursdays, but we try for Tuesday releases), and we also have an item request thread if you can't find the perfect item for a look. :)
Edit: And yes. Galla encourages us to make items to our hearts' content, and sometimes, some of the art team (*cough*Me*cough) tend to go overboard on designing items. but that makes Galla's job easier, 'cause the more items, the more commons we get. lol |

i'm a sucker for commons, i'm always eyeing premium items to see what i can make simplified versions of for commons
we have a good number of hairs in the shop that have a fancy, multi-colored version waiting to be discovered in a retired monthly, haha |
