Site Activity

I kind of transferred over from gaiaonline/syndroneonline. I see syndrone is no longer in existence. How active is this site usually? Is it kind of dead or is it still going?

Gallagher 11-03-2018 04:48 AM

we're not dead, but we are a lot slower than the likes of gaia. our userbase is extremely dedicated and friendly without many closed circles, so if you like smaller communities, you can definitely make friends here. just don't expect a constant buzz of activity.

so, not dead, not dying, but not gaia.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 04:56 AM

This is actually perfect for me, then. I get easily overwhelmed with larger sites at times, and I feel like gaiaonline has declined in some aspects. I feel like smaller communities are definitely more intimate, and I'd love to make some friendships.

Gallagher 11-03-2018 04:59 AM

oh yeah, you'll be right at home here then. we have the nox event going, you might as well run over there and hop right in. check out the games (they're stickied) to see if you wanna enter any. the writing contest is an easy one right now, barely anyone has entered and it has a HUGE payoff. or just start up a spooky hangout and see who drops by, once people are awake.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 05:01 AM

Sounds great! I will probably just kind of mostly lurk around the site to get adjusted to everything first. It's definitely a new environment, but so far, I think I like it. Thank you for being so kind! :)

Gallagher 11-03-2018 05:02 AM

yeah we love newbies around here, haha

there any styles or colors you're into for your look?

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 05:10 AM

I haven't really browsed shopping place just yet - but I have been really into a dusty rose color lately. I think I might do something with a pink theme.

Gallagher 11-03-2018 05:16 AM

pink is a nice color

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 05:36 AM

I love pink. I can't say it's my favorite color because my favorite color tends to change every so often. Sometimes I prefer blues or purples, kind of depending on my mood or maybe the seasons. I haven't exactly figured that out yet. I suppose it's just part of being human.

Gallagher 11-03-2018 05:37 AM

mine's purple, but weirdly i don't wear it much on my avis

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 05:47 AM

Sometimes I like to experiment with my avis and go out of my comfort zones at times. I've usually always stuck with some kind of black theme/ bat theme. I would definitely love to experiment with reds and yellows and oranges. I hardly mess with warm tones.

Gallagher 11-03-2018 05:51 AM

well, you have a few things now that you can at least play with layering while you work up a fun collection!

make sure you check the games tab. you can get free items from the crane game and smooch quest every single day.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 05:56 AM

The crane game seems very fun so far and the smooch game is as well. I see that they are under construction as well, so I am excited to see what's in store there. ♥

Gallagher 11-03-2018 05:58 AM

we have a couple different games we hope to get out, but they're sort of big projects that still need a good amount of time and work. we're a small team around here, haha.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 06:01 AM

There's nothing wrong with that at all. I understand how hard some things can be without more hands on deck. I imagine there is a lot of time consumption involved from everyone working on the projects.

Death by Mirrors 11-03-2018 06:03 AM

Hey new person. I see you're already in questionable company.

(Nope, not Gallagher - I mean that tiny reaper on your shoulder ^^)

If you want to meet more questionable fascinating folks, I'll set you up with a smooch quest date of your choice and also throw in a bit of random junk you can use to play around in your wardrobe.

Gallagher 11-03-2018 06:06 AM

honestly, as soon as i finish my food here, i'm back to work, lol.

i'm the art lead around here and i do file handling and color picking for premium and event items. currently working on november monthly items, cuz those need to go out asap

@ death, i mean im also questionable company so

Espy 11-03-2018 06:12 AM

The entirety of Trisphee is just... questionable, in general.

Death by Mirrors 11-03-2018 06:12 AM

@Galla yeah, but as long as you're busy welcoming newcomers you can't kill off people for stealing your brownies

@Espy Well said.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 06:13 AM

That sounds lovely! I kind of dabbled in Smooch Date and it's very fun so far.

Gallagher 11-03-2018 06:13 AM

i have a brownie right now actually

im saving it for me in an hour when i don't wanna work anymore, cuz i never wanna work

Espy 11-03-2018 06:15 AM

...You know, Tris is generally kind of quiet at this time of day...night.

Nice to see people actually awake. (I kind of took a break from videogames to rest my eyes and, uh, fell asleep on my laptop. Just got woken up by a Brit friend pinging me to go to sleep.)

Gallagher 11-03-2018 06:16 AM

was talking with suze, then got food, now have to work. that's where my schedule's at.

weehhh

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 06:16 AM

I thought the lil reaper was cute. I think my love for reapers came up during the whole Misadventures of Billy and Mandy show back in the day.

Speaking of Grim Reapers - there was a really great show called Dead Like Me! and it's kind of a different spin on the whole Grim Reaper thing. I thought it was an interesting storyline.

Espy 11-03-2018 06:17 AM

Oh right, I forgot Suze keeps... weird... hours.

I'm in a weird sleep schedule mode right now. I'm a third shifter, and just getting back into a third shift schedule but I wake up after four hours of sleep and I'm typically up for the day/night.

Espy 11-03-2018 06:19 AM

Mh. Sounds like my housemate's schedule.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 06:23 AM

I room with 4 other people, and we have two dogs in the house. There is only one other person in the house who is on a third shift schedule also, and there are two on a second shift schedule and my friend is on a weird schedule because she's a manager so they schedule her as needed, giving her really odd hours. Some days she goes in at 6 in the morning and some days they need her later in the day. Thankfully she's part time.

I also steal the bigger dog at night so I can watch horror films because I can't watch them alone loooool.

Death by Mirrors 11-03-2018 06:24 AM

Dead Like Me is awesome! I've had a bit of a crush on George earlier on, because her work attitude so closely resembles my own.

And yeah, smooch quest is fun for the storylines. You can get quite a few items from there (the "big prize" obviously being the dates I linked you in spoiler tags, but also some nice accessories, and you even get a random "reward" when you piss your date off)

Espy 11-03-2018 06:25 AM

...I’d probably steal a dog, too, but only to sleep next to me, because I get some really bad disturbing nightmares.

I don't think there was a thing I didn't like about the show. I never paid much attention to Mandy Patinkin in Criminal Minds, and I'm not sure why. He's actually a really good actor and I ended up loving him in the series. I really loved how George questioned things because I feel like I would have been the same way in some aspects.

I thought the goal was to keep the dates happy, but I can definitely see some of those responses angering a date haha

Espy 11-03-2018 06:30 AM

You usually can’t go too wrong if you keep in mind their interests.

That's actually another reason why I take her at night. I don't watch horror films often at all, and I have terrible anxiety and sometimes I get really bad nightmares that trip me up and I'll wake up and panic at times. Having an animal definitely helps. She's big on cuddling, and I love that about her.

The only complaint I register is her smelly gas.

I didn't really know what I was doing when I was playing it, and I kind of just selected random responses but I will pay more attention to that when I play the next time around. I just kind of wanted to familiarize myself with the game partially because it was new, and I just like to play around with things mostly to learn how they work.

Espy 11-03-2018 06:33 AM

Haha... I can’t deal with horror-anythin. Worst I’ve done is played Ib. I just manage to get really shitty nightmares for someone without PTSD (hello there, dreamland influx of firearms and guilt). Sets off my anxiety for a couple days at least.

Definitely thinking about getting a therapy animal, but I can barely take care of myself, much less another living being (which I suppose is part of the appeal of getting a therapy animal — you have to force yourself to take care of them).

Gallagher 11-03-2018 06:34 AM

yeah, for some people, taking care of an animal is easier than taking care of themselves, and once they're actually up to do that, it can be easier to find the motivation for another thing or two you might not have done otherwise

Espy 11-03-2018 06:36 AM

(Also, before I forget — the current Anka Egg is swapping out in a couple weeks, so if you like anything from it, I’d suggest you buy them soon. They might be a bit expensive for a newbie, which is why I tossed you a few thousand.)

Galla — yeah, I get. Not sure if my supply of spoons is enough to be sure that I can keep the companion and myself both afloat, though.

Pinkvaders 11-03-2018 06:41 AM

I suffer from bad depression, and I have a cat who is currently with my cousin (the animals didn't get along and I'm living here temporarily until I move back to KY, just kind of waiting on tax time so I will have enough money to make the move). I've noticed since I don't have the cat with me, it's harder to motivate myself to do some things at times.

When I did have the Ravioli cat with me, I always at least made sure he was fed and his litter box stayed clean, even if that meant I didn't take care of myself that day. I'm getting better at taking care of myself, while making sure he's taken care of.

I feel kind of bad for asking, but what is the Anka Egg and where would I find it?

Espy 11-03-2018 06:45 AM

Archaic Antiquities, under Shops. It’s a RIG. You can check the current items in the announcements.
