What is the name of your char Alex?

Quiet Man Cometh 06-02-2011 11:31 PM

Hey there. Nice stuff. :). I love to see works in progress since it fascinates me to see how stuff is done (I'm the kind person who sill stare close to a painting to see the brush strokes the artist made).

The colouring you did looks like pencil crayon but not entirely. It that the scan job or did you use something else for the coat. Looks almost like pastel or crayon, or an awful lot of blending.

Omai! Those WIP's are interesting <3

Vanitas 06-12-2011 01:30 AM

oh wow <3 ^^ your artwork is beautiful and so elegant, how do you learn how to sprite? that's always been a curiosity to me

Which one? The pencil art is Amadeus, he is my Rogue/Shadow Dancer for Pathfinder. The colored one is Gabriel, my wizard.

I like seeing works in progress as well. I'm currently working on this :

I used watercolor pencil to color the character. It's all watercolor pencil. I started off just coloring it with the pencil, and then later added water to the areas that I wanted to have a watercolor effect on. ^^ The scanner did mess things up a little, since it looks much better in person, I had no idea how to fix it to look... normal. xD

Elegant? Thanks! I like to think so. Spriting takes a lot of practice and patience, something I rarely have enough of. xD
