Are you Casual, or Hardcore?
 

Gamer that is, get your mind out of the gutter XD

I used to be a Hardcore gamer. I kept on all the news and grabbed games as soon as I could. Nowadays I have to settle with being casual because I have a lot of interests and a lot on my plate.

So what about you?

Very casual.
I have an 8 month old so I don't have much time at all for games.

Basically.
Right now I'm playing Epic Mickey because it has a lot of colors so he can watch me play and enjoy it. xD

I am in the middle I don't play as much as I used to but I still buy games keep track of games that I play I also happen to be a collector of games. X3

Eh, casual. Sadly I can't afford to get new games right when they come out; I tend to wait for them to lower in price first. Usually most people have moved on.

Though I will say I tend to get pretty good at the games I DO get to play. :U

Casual. I'm not that good at games but I still enjoy playing. My hand eye coordination is awful XD

I'm more of a casual player because I'm spending all the free time I have on Avatar sites. xD
I don't think I ever was a hardcore gamer, I just played whatever game I had because I could never beat them.

I'm more casual due to time constraints. My PS2 behaves more often as a DVD player than a gaming console.

Mainly casual.
I do try to snag games when they're first out, though.

Casual, even when it comes to play World of Warcraft. I don't get how people can literally dedicate and build their lives around raiding. It's fun when your guild mates are nice and laid back for the most part, but it's just... when you have a life, it's not first priority. xD

I could never get games right when they came out. Pokemon: Soul Silver and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm was the closest I ever got to buying a game around when it was released.

I still re-play a lot of my old games, but I don't play games as much as I used to. I guess I got burned out, since my sister would have me play them for her to watch.

I can see the thing about finding time to be a gamer. I'm glad that I have a little time but personally I prefer being busy than having time to waste on games.

I used to be a kinda Hardcore gamer? Not as hardcore as the next guy but you know... Now I play casually, I mostly replay my old games.

Hardcore. though not as hardcore as i was before i had a job and college. but still throwing in 20 some hours a week XDD. [it used to be about 40-60 hrs a week easy]

I am a casual gamer, I don't bother with it at all.

I kind of think I go back and forth between the two
though doesn't have enough time to play everything I want to, which kind of makes me feel more casual but I guess that is also because my family also uses that tv and plays games too...

FINALLY!!! Someone else who got Soulsilver! Everyone I know got Heartgold, and if they did get Soulsilver, they also got Heartgold. BTW Soulsilver is the only game I have ever pre-ordered. Black version shall be my second.

As for me, I guess you could call me a hardcore gamer. I can't afford to get new games, I honestly only have a PS2 and a DS lite, but I have friends who get new games and I just go and play with them. L4D FTW!!!

i am for sure a casual gamer. i have some series that i love and will go out of my way to play but they are all really laid back games like harvest moon and pokemon. stuff like that. i dont have the time or the money to be any more hardcore then that. haha!

Definitely casual- I don't play often unless the game sucks me in- then I kind of get obsessed. . . but still, casual. XD

I use to be hardcore, but now I'm very casual.

I'm going from hardcore to casual, pretty much. It'll probably turn around all over again sometime XD
But yeah when I 'discover' a new game, I'm absolutely hardcore, until I get bored.

Definitely casual. I used to have a LAN center that I'd go to all the time, but it's a good ways away and I don't always have the money to make the trip anymore :\

Define "Hardcore." I don't go through new games as quickly as I used to, but I have a tendency to play the heck out of what I do have. Unlock everrryyyythiiiinnng. I also tend to play my DS in class now that I'm attending college, so that's got to count for something.

I'd usually define "hardcore" as gaming being a dominating presence in your life; you're gaming a good majority of the day and it takes priority over most things in your life. That's just my impression though, but that might be because I have an addictive personality

casual, but use to be hardcore. When I had the N64 or the Nintendo that was evil. Just evil. I would play a lot. PS games Like persona 2 I will still play if i can find it, but right now work and my laptop take up most of my time.

I want to get back into my PS2 and get x-360 along with a PS3. I did love Pokemon Gold. But I wont invest in getting heart gold. I feel it killed my childhood. >.>

I'm fairly casual, I don't take games as seriously as I use to, and I really don't play that much too. :O

Slightly hardcore, I think. It really depends on the game.
However, I honestly don't care about new releases and whatnot.

I won't rest until I've got near enough 100% completion on most games.

Well it depends on what you mean by Hardcore
 

I don't get games on the day of release so in that way I'm not a hardcore kind of gamer, but then again, I also play more mature games like CoD, resident evil, and Need4Speed. I've always been thinking of Hardcore as in the type of games, whether really goring and long-time heroes such as Megaman, and Mario, or smaller time games like a Pirates of the Caribbean game.

Well, I used to be more of a hardcore gamer, back before I had gotten my computer. Then, I sort of slowly slipped out of that habit. xD'

I'd say I'm more of a casual gamer these days.
Sometimes that changes a little, depending on what's out, and what I've gotten my hands on. >u>'

I used to be hardcore (not to the extreme) but lately I've gone casual, change of priorities I would guess.

Hardcore. Even with work and my social life, when I'm at home, I am gaming. I played World of Warcraft for a long time and still play occasionally, but I am almost ALWAYS on a FPS. I get games the day of release and play them until I'm bored with them. See, girls can play video games! My gamertag makes ppl mad when I beat them also :P
