It's not a Kanto breed, but my favorite is Spinarak. Though, I do love Dragonair a lot. c: My sister is actually re-watching all the old episodes. I kind of want to too, but I'm too lazy to look 'em up~ Ah, man. I can't remember which one was my favorite. Probably the one where the pokemon got separated from their trainers after the whole shipwreck ordeal. Where they start talking to each other on the island~ And as for professor Oak, well... I think this says it all. |

Uwaaah Pikachu looks so adorable and kinda like how it did on the original Pokémon cards instead of all skinny and stylised like it is in the recent series. Being pulled along on a washing line.. Ash wearing rubber gloves.. ahhh. Good tiemz! :'D Oh James was totally my favourite. His VOICE was just sublime. *3* And now they killed him.. You know in the recent 5th gen episodes Team Rocket are really dead serious? It's like wtf.. :C HIS PokéBAAAALLS. HE WANTS CHILDREN TO TAKE THEM. DB |

I miss this series a lot. Back in the day, I remember a person being badass if they got a single booster pack of Pokemon Cards, back when they first came out. Some guy on Youtube opened a Jungle booster box of cards pack by pack and got a 1st edition Charizard holo. I was like "O_O Holy crap... *grabbyhands*"

Well, no, it was a pokemon of legend, not a legendary pokemon. It's more like...there are pokemon found in legends, and MYTHICAL pokemon~

But it's always said in Ash's Pokédex;
'Arcanine, a Legendary Pokémon. The evolved form of Growlithe. Arcanine is known for its bravery and fierce loyalty. Growlithe evolves into Arcanine from use of a Fire Stone.' It's just always confused me the way they worded it. XD; |
Speaking of legendaries, is anyone else getting sick of all the new legends they keep adding? They just don't seem as ~legendary~ any more, even if there's just one of 'em. But then again, there are hundreds of myths and legends around the world, so why can't the pokemon world have hundreds, right? Bluh. @Illusion: I KNOW, RIGHT?? : D Aw man, I can't remember. That sounds right, though. |

I agree, there adding too many legendarys.. I'm ok with 7 legendaries max per generation.
3 to be the legendary trio pokemon (like suicune, entei, and raikou) 2 to be the game cover pokemon, and later on the 3rd being added. And the last one being a super rare pokemon like mew. |
I dunno, I personally feel that up to the Johto legends would be enough. Hoenn, maybe. But my heart's in Johto, so I'm biased. Crystal version was my first hand-held game ever. |

;-; I like the new pokemon. Everyone whines about how the originals were /so much better/ but... I dunno I really like a lot of the newer ones. The show itself is pretty much the same, maybe more stupid cause Ash is STILL 10 and pikachu somehow is weak...
I liked the old ones, though. Team rocket was dorky but I loved them. And Ash didn't seem /as/ stupid. |
I like the new pokemon games, but the new pokemon anime isn't near as cool as the old one. I watched the first episode of the newest series, and I was like, "How the heck did a level 80+ Pikachu just lose to a level 5 Tsutarja? o.O;;" because even without electricity...Pikachu could kill the thing with tackle and Tsutarja shouldn't be able to do anything to Pikachu. o_____o
Electric Solder Porygon is a fun episode. I'm sad it was banned. |
I remember the first pokemon series I loved it; it was easy for me to understand it for a kid and then when Brock left and introduced Tracy then more character changes and more now pokemon confused me then I stopped watching the series

the original's are always the best, i loved pokemon and they just killed it with this new series. :)

I only really liked the first season of Pokemon....2nd wasn't TOO bad but after that it was horrible especially when they changed VAs for everyone >.<
I will admit though that the new Black and White has cought my eye and that's the ONLY new one that has. |
I grew up watching the original pokemon (1st 150 pokemon series), then more characters get switched or introduced then more pokemons came on and I stopped following it because it's hard for me to keep track of each pokemon and the trainers

I'm not so sure about my position on the older cartoon as to the newer ones. I do remember that Ash's voice in the early part of the old cartoons make me cringe. I couldn't go further than 5 minutes into rewatching the 1st episode just because of that.
One episode that still sticks out for me is when Butterfree leaves. ;^; Then there's his Pidgeot as well...were any other pokemons he let into the wild? Mudkip has always been my favorite. Admitedly it's partly because I don't have to worry about electric attacks anymore xD My 1st pokemon is always the water type. |
my favourite starter was squirtle, I just liked the cute ones to be honest.
oddish, weepinbell, and of course pikachu are all awesome. professor oak isn't creepy! he just does what he knows best: getting with ash's mom. |
man, i totally can't forget that episode when Ash released Butterfree. Now, I lost track of the Pokemon Anime since our cable got cut off. kinda sucks and i won't dare at all to start from zero coz it's gonna be a long way just to follow up to the latest.
