Energy Drink or Sleepy Drink?
Whenever I drink energy drink, I don't get energy from it and instead I get sleepy. I have no idea why but I always fall asleep after drinking energy drinks. >.> Isn't it suppose to boost your energy? What about you? |
Ahaha, I don't have that problem.
Monster is my best friend. Though, I know people who get sleepy off of energy drinks. |
Coffee makes me sleepy... well.. Anything with milk really xDDD and it's warm <3333333333
I'm really pressed for energy, I rarely get it >.<'' |
I dunno, I don't drink coffee or anything but I'm always sleepy...hah...
|
Coffee wakes me right up. xD;
I can't really survive without it. Its horrible. I need at least a cup in the morning, and a cup at night. |
When I used to drink caffeine based drinks I would get super tired. When I gave it up I didn't sleep for nearly four weeks, it was oddddddd.
|
Energy drinks have me jumping all over the place. I try to stay away from those.
|
I can't enery drinks on an empty stomach or else I get food poisoned and it's not pretty
|
Coffee will help me stay alert if I'm trying to stay alert, but if I'm trying to rest it will put me to sleep. Energy drinks are the same.
|
There are some energy drink that I avoid, even if I could drink them. Apparently if you want a three day plus energy buzz you should drink a large Nos. But I don't recommend it.
|
I don't really drink energy drinks, they don't really work imo. D:
|
Interesting. Are you ADD? I have heard contradicting information that people with it actually get more tired from caffeine.
For me only Red Bull works so far as energy drinks. But the crash is pretty immediate...like one hour after xP The 5 hour energy drinks work well too. But it makes me...hyper and not entirely aware of things. A ditz I suppose? xD Strange phenomenon I have noticed though is that if I have caffeine and jump into bed immediately after I fall asleep faster. =\ |
Only thing Energy drinks do for me, is to make me feel sick. Sodas don't really do anything except get rid of headaches for me.
I don't much care for coffee, it always leaves my mouth feeling nasty. |
heh, I'm actually one of those people who drink coffee purely for its taste xD Screw the caffeine I want coffee flavor! :D
My mom is the same way except she...well one of her friends hilariously asked her if she would like some coffee with her creamer. xD |
Energy drinks rarely boost my energy, and the only way it can is if I'm excited for something.
For example, I was looking forward to watching a midnight movie at the theater, but I was getting tired so I got some energy drinks. I was really excited for it, so excitement + energy drink = hyperness. So if I just need to get through the day at school/work/whatever, I can't rely on it. XD |
It depends on my mood really. If I want to stay up and awake, I will get a monster to keep me up and alert. I just can't drink one right before I want to sleep, then I can't.
I used to have such bad reactions to caffeine, that, no matter what time of the day I would have some it would keep me up all night. Being in college sure has changed that. Now, now matter how much caffeine that I have in my system I can still end up crashing later on because of how exhausted I am. ^^;; |
it makes me sleepy as well, the first time I have it though it works but after having it once or twice I start to just get sleepy to them... ^^;;
also I think it depends if I'm really tired or not, if I'm not tired it automatically makes me tired and sometimes when I'm tired it will work again and keep me up, but that is a chance I would take on it not working ~ |
hahah, well i stopped drinking energy drinks cause they just taste so awful!!! but when i did drink it helped me a little... but not enough eventually i'd get sleepy so idk xDD
|
Do you have ADD/ADHD? There is a trend that caffeine makes people with ADD/ADHD sleepier instead of awake. I can't drink energy drinks or coffee or anything because of that. =P |

I don't drink energy drinks and I hate coffee (if I do drink energy drinks its a tiny amount). I just get lots of sleep and what I eat mostly not what I drink cause now I drink mostly water since it's free from tap.
What gets my energy mostly comes from is from hormones, habits over time, and the motivation to do something. I pulled an all nighter for looking for flesh toned markers so I can draw my South Park Fingerbang boys. Pulled an all nighter because I wasn't tired (and those was a few days after Wasabi when we have late night panels). I may need to pull a nighter for making a fairy outfit using my new sewing machine cause I need it done by the 29th and to make the wings from scratch. |
|
I generally fall asleep after I drink coffee. I have only met a few other people that this happens to. I cannot, however, speak from an energy drink perspective. The taste of them drives me away so I just do not know.
|
I love energy drinks - I never know what I'm going to get with them. There's so many different kinds, I love experimenting to see what they'll do. It could go either way, some make me feel energetic to the point of being jittery, and some make me super sleepy. I've never had a problem with the taste either, they're all pretty good, but my favorite so far has been the 2x caffeine low-carb Rockstar. Tastes like a bitch beer. x3
|
Depends, I had an energy drink this afternoon.. and now it's 2:30 AM x_x
Although if I have benadryl and stay awake a little too long I get super buzzed and like, end up stuck awake. |

I don't get tired from energy drinks, though I haven't drank one in a while so it's tricky business. Either way, I kinda like energy drinks.
|
I had a large lo-carb Monster today, and it was yo-yoing me between sleepy and hyper for a few hours. Now I'm on a good plateau of energy, but it was an interesting experience, to say the least...
