So I Just Finished Portal 2...
Best. Game ending. EVER.
I loved the first one, and when I heard that there was going to be a second game, I was geeking out all the way up until the release. So hard to believe that the first wasn't even meant to be such a big deal, and now it's got this huge following. It was a brilliant idea, so addicting, and so entertaining. P.S., I want a companion cube plushie SO bad. |
I know right great game loved every second of it XD
|
Garrett wants to play it *nods*
|
I loved the ending song to it (Want You Gone), and now I can't get it out of my head. XD
|
So you've seen the ending, have you?
Edit: Whoops, that link didn't work. |
@Winter - He definitely should. In fact, everyone should. Ten times over. x3 But playing the first game is a must.
@Funkduder - I listened to it like four times on my way to work today, and I STILL have it stuck in my head, and also I almost wrote your name as a partially naughty word. @Coda - OMGROFLMAO! XD |
I get that sometimes...What should I call you: Cupcake, Dolly, Cake, Doll, or CD?
|
He likes to go clubbing, though his friends say he's got a stick shoved up his butt. Still, he's got a good head. His favorite Jedi is Windu. (But between you and me, I think he got shafted.)
|
*Rolleyes at last post* Dork.
I'd go with Dolly or Doll, since "cupcake" is the adjective of the name, but really I'll answer to "hey, you" if you say it with enough emphasis. |
hrmmm...so we got Dolly, Doll, and "HEY YOU!!" (enough emphasis?).....I'll call you D for now. (don't fret, I do this to nearly everyone)

Hmm... So apparently there are some people theorizing that Chell is Caroline's daughter. o_o What the hell kind of sense does that even make? And I'm wondering if the end leaves any room at all for a third installment. If they're even planning one... *crosses fingers*
|
8D I played it last weekend and LOVED IT SO MUCH. then proceeded to play coop with a friend of mine online (I play via Steam on the computer) and LOVED IT MORE.
Going to play some more this weekend to try to complete the achievements. < u< |
I loved Portal 2! I've not played many games where I've laughed just about the entire way through. Then the ending...wow.
|
Best. Game. Ever.
Obbie and I played it together. Well... He played through the storyline for me and We're working on the multi-player now. I've been so busy with stuff that I haven't actually played it myself. How sad is that? But the storyline is awesome. |

It doesn't seem like a logical correlation to me, but it might explain why Chell was in the facility to begin with and not one of the walk-off-the-streets-to-earn-$60 testers.
Co-op is tedious with boyfriend, as he has a tendency to take over the level and try to solve it all himself. <_< I can't wait to play with other people over PSN. The ending seemed to have a clear note of finality, but I really, really hope that there's a third Portal! There's so much that needs to be answered! |
Maybe, but I've also heard a theory that GLaDOS just kidnapped Chell on Bring Your Daughter to work day, probably because of all the science experiments in the one part, hers was the most sciencey. I'm not sure though, I'm only halfway through the game despite reading a bunch of spoilers.
And oh, I haven't even touched co-op yet. Despite the taking over bit, is it fun? |
xD That's an interesting theory. One of the only experiments that didn't use potatoes...
Co-op is pretty fun. If you try in some places you can actually get through with just one person, but for the most part every puzzle NEEDS two people to get through it. I haven't been all the way through, but so far it doesn't seem to be story-based at all, just an excuse for two people to play together. |
I just beat it last week and I'm going through the game again to get trophies. The Overclocker achievement actually took me three tries, not counting my first run through of the game. One of my favorite achievements was rescuing the turret from getting destroyed, especially the little dialogue it had too. |
The only thing I got out of that game was
"SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!" |
ahh im playing it too :) though its getting hard for me T__T
|
portal guns are so awesome though :P
|
I have never heard of the game until my brother asked me to buy it for him and we've been playing co-op since we got it. It is fun, I love playing with the portal guns. My brother hates it when I "accidentally" kill his character XD. I haven't tried playing by myself yet, but my brothers have finished the game...pretty sure.
|
You seriously never heard of "The cake is a lie!"?
|
Yeah never heard of it until we got the game XD.
|
My friend played that game when it just came out and thought that it was an aawesome game to play, almost as better as the first one
|
Hey. You know what...
"I'm in space." |
hasn't played portal one yet since my bf has portal 2 and asked if I wanted to play it
I don't think I've ever played a game that was so amusing and funny throughout the whole game keeps watching the ending over and over again online, the music is great loves it |
How long did it take you to complete it? Solo and co op?
I did solo in 4hrs and co op in 5hrs... also I hope there is another on bc of how good this one was |
If anyone has Steam, they recently released the workshop for Portal 2 where you can create/download SP maps from users. It's amazing. *w*
I used to download maps off Thinking with Portals but this is so much more convenient. no co-op ones yet, I think. |
I wish I had it on steam... but I borrowed it for xbox
|
I don't think I could play that game using a controller. XD I need my mouse for all the precise aiming.
|
Its easy for me I guess bc of the fps games I play...
