It was raining today. I was in the car with my mom we drove my a baseball diamond and there were some guys playing baseball it was starting to thunder and lightning.
I said, "Maybe they are vampires."
My mom didn't get the reference, she never read or watched twilight.

I would have laughed... That's too bad, that was one of the great scenes in the book I though.

I would have sighed and shook my head. I enjoyed the book, but the movie absolutely ruined it for me.

I'm not a huge twilight fan. I got over it when I went to see the first movie in the theaters. The fan girls who kept gasping every 5 seconds drove me up a wall.

My mom wants to watch the Twilight movies out of curiosity. I'm thinking of renting them and watching them with her, but I'm afraid my laughter would distract her.

I find Twilight in general pretty damn hilarious. I so very, very want to see Breaking Dawn when it comes out, because that book was the most amazingly awful, hysterical nonsense I'd ever read and the trailer for it is so fantastic looking. First ever vampire movie where the trailer is all about people getting a wedding invitation. I watched it like, three times and laughed and said, "Holy crap, the Rifftrax for this one is going to be great."

I don't like Twilight at all. I thought it was awful. I watched the movie but I quit halfway. And I won't even start about the books...

My Dad would have gotten it... in fact he probably would have brought it up first because he loved that part in the movie. He keeps on asking me to borrow my Twilight Saga movies... I swear I'm gonna get him his own, as well as True Blood and the Harry Potter movies... lol.

While an amusing joke, I would have probably only snorted and went on with life. I find Twilight to be deplorably two dimensional with their characters, so I haven't been able to bring myself to even watch the movies sans the first and that made me roll my eyes and get rid of it.

Anyway, while it's a shame she didn't get the joke, it's probably for the best. At least you get to make fun and she doesn't quite get everything you say. Sometimes that is more fun... at least to me it is.
