Steam Punk/Western Role Playing Search - - -

I'd be all over this...but I second the 'are you sure 1600s'? Since the idea of steam power only hit around the 1800s.... And 20+ sentences in a paragraph might be a bit much, lol, but I promise I can definitely give you three full ones! B'sides, I've had a western/steampunky character for years and no where to play her. Oh, yes, I'd be playin' a girl :)

I usually wait to see what the story is before I decide on a character. This time I want to be a whore, but I also like playing males. So I guess for now put me as Male.
@Fey: I was just trying to imagine and Elizabethian western. Since its steam punk it pretty much works on an alternate time line. ( at least the ones I've read do ) |

How about a case of mass drug addiction effecting some country, bringing it into poverty. By the way, real world, or fantasy. (map-wise)

It would have to be fantasy. lol Since steam-punk isn't real. O': Not sure if that's what you're asking. hahaha
And I like that idea, but it doesn't fit so well with the western kind of theme. More details? |
I think what Funk was asking is are we setting it on Earth(so five continents, seven oceans, all the normal geography) or a completely different 'world' and hence a different geography.
We could do what they loved to do only a couple hundred years ago, set it in a World's Fair, so we could have all sorts of people arriving to show off the 'latest and greatest' in steampunky tech. |
Oh. lol Sorry for the confusion. Hm.. I can look around for some maps, and we can come up with some cities and such. :) Maybe a city name and info from each person, so it's fair.
I do like that festival idea. I think we can kind of involve the sort of illegal dealings with those, too. Like certain parts are illegal to use? So there is a black trade somewhere in the mists of the whole fair? |

It doesn't have to be drugs, it can be illegal tech. Like it's a no-no to have an artificial eye(cheating at cards) or an enhanced arm(for ripping off bank vault doors). Or heck, it can even be illegal in the sense that it doesn't require the 'normal' tech. Like having something electricity based(look into victorian electrical machines, it's sorta awesome and random).

I don't mind outlaws, just not the gangster/druger ones. lol xD I can settle for outlaw illegal mechanics though. x3 Sorry. >< Mobs and stuff are my least favorite things.

hmm...What about starting on a ship: like a flying ship, that tours around the fantasy world.

Or even betters start at the 'port' for the ship, cause getting to the ship is half the fun LOL see who comes up in a horseless carriage, whom flies in on a gyroscopic whirlygig, or just plain rides a horse(though to be fair they should save the horse...ride a cowboy ;) )

I like it. Now then, as for characters. How would you like the character creation setup? AS in, what do you want to know for each character?

Like I said before, when the role play is actually made I'll make profile skeletons for you all to fill out. :) But I want to get the story out first so you all can get a grasp on that and can work on your characters. We also need some more people.
