Halo 4
 

Well, the trailer looks neat for sure. Will the game turn out just as well? One never knows. But it's Halo so I'm always willing to give it a try. =)

I have no doubt that it will be a good game. My only possible issue is the style. 343 halo games (halo wars) definitely have a different graphical approach to the series. I guess we'll just have to see how it turns out.

The graphics are good, but the style just seems...off compared to bungie's.

My thing is that another company making it could make create a lot of problems or things that people who have been part of halo since the beginning might not like. It looks good but to me if they remake halo 1 I have no need to play it just because I am use to the way it is and just like it the way it was, no need to change anything about it at all.

im sad that bungie is not making it...

With what all has been released so far, especially the new enemy and the return of the forerunners, I can't wait for this to release. Glad I pre-ordered it now.

Its because bungee isn't running Halo any longer.

The date is apparently November 6th.

Also, they have started the live-action series leading up to it called Forward Unto Dawn. First episode is up, and new ones will be added weekly on Fridays.

So, who all got the game so far and has played it? I'm still on the first mission (maybe 20 mins in), but I'm enjoying it so far. Dynamics of combat are better than previous in my opinion (at least for the campaign). The "extra animated" melee kills - while cool - are a tad annoying since you are getting shot at and losing shields all the while when a simpler melee kill leaves you still able to move and fight.

My friend has probably been playing it obsessively. I, and a few others, have been giving her a bunch of mountain dew caps on top of the ones she had already gathering.

I've been taking my time with it....mostly due to playing Assassin's Creed 3 though. Just beat that about two nights ago, so Halo 4 will have my attention. Interesting so far as I have gotten.

Nah....I'm too lazy to do it on legendary the first time through.

Just beat it today......disappointed a bit with the ending. Excited though because it sets up well for future games.

Also, Spartan Ops is interesting for sure. Different from previous incarnations of extras.

Nah, I understood. Same sort of thing she did to restrain the Didact. Hate that she's gone....

*resists opening the spoiler buttons* I just bought Halo this past Sunday. I was really happy with the graphics in the Campaign mode. Was totally excited, and even my BF who was only watching was excited as well. I gotta say I'm not totally in love with what they did with multiplayer co-op tho. I miss the drop ships, and infinite ammo options. But I do like how they allow you to modify your load outs, and how you only have to unlock the armors. Very black ops like.

It is a different direction for the game for sure, but since this is 343 not Bungie, expected it to be as much. All the spoilers are just talk and speculation about campaign and beyond...

Oh of course, I was surprised it was still similar to the last installment. I enjoy the new guns and vehicles in big battle. The Mantis was fun, but I definitely feel it could be a bit stronger in the not blowing up quickly department.

Do you play the multi online at all? If so what is your favorite playlist so to speak? In reach I loved Swat, but tried playing in 4 and got my arse handed to me.

My understanding with the Mantis was to make it more reasonable and such that it wasn't used as a "crutch" by some players, or tipped the scales too badly.

I haven't done online play at all yet in 4.....did Spartan Ops solo though, and enjoying the episodes so far.

I can see it being utilized as a crutch for someone, but for it's lack of mobility I think it could benefit from the addition of a small over-shield, or even the short ability to thrust in diff directions. Kinda feel like it's a big walking target. Doesn't mean I won't get in one if the opportunity strikes. XD

I haven't beaten all the chapters in episode 1, but I have beaten all in episode 2. I probably play the Gagarin one the most, mostly because that is the one I don't have to wait forever for people to be added to my party. I've also enjoyed the spartan ops play.

Had my first afk person the other day, wish I could have ran him over with a vehicle, or shot him with a rocket over a cliff. I'm not very nice to people who go afk for the entire match... In reach I have TONS of screenshots of me killing them, entitled 'While you were away'. Oh, I also used to push them under where I knew the drop pods would land. :D Fun times

Oh wow....sounds like fun. I do despise people who are AFK for an entire match without some kind of reasoning, or letting someone know at least.

I've beaten all the chapter in both Episodes....even beat Gagarin on Legendary....which was a pain in the arse to be sure.

I beat the game this past weekend, and boy were my eye holes watering or what! Glad my bf wasn't awake to see me, would have teased me mercilessly. Now to beat it on Legendary!

I've been enjoying the multiplayer. A major change from previous games in terms of style. Still trying to work up the determination to beat it on Legendary.....might have to wait until break though.
