This contest is a haiku contest for you- Hope you enjoy it! Hello, all! We thought, with this being a royal ball and all, that some sort of poetry contest would be in order. Since I'm a big fan of haiku, and it was suggested by a dear friend of mine, this contest was born. All you have to do is submit an entry about the event (including, but not limited to: NPCs, the ball itself, what you did at the ball, what you think of the event), keeping the 5-7-5 standard (unless you want to go above and beyond). Once submitted, there will be two votes: staff pick and user's pick. Then, I will choose a winner or two from the remaining entries. So... you might be wondering what the prizes are? Simple, really! I shall definately enter! Can we explore the form a little bit, such as an alternating haiku or multiple 5-7-5 poems in succession? Or should we keep to the standard three lines?

It's the awkwardness.
Some double vowels in words will sound less as one. Almost fooling you, that interests me, for you're captain obvious. |
Double vowels suck.
I can never seem to spell those words without help. Captain Obvious points out things that are clear to other people but usually she does not quite catch on to what she should know on her own. |
